LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

As in TLG is bigger in relevance than ever. Whilst Star Wars, and Lucasfilm itself, are a shadow of what it used to be. Right? I will defend SW and Lucasfilm as a cultural icon with every ounce of my being until I’m nothing but dust. But you can’t deny the evidence: Indy 5 sucking and flopping, Acolyte, SC’s poor viewership, production hell for new SW movies, Outlaws flopping… Meanwhile TLG increases its sales and variety of appeal every fiscal quarter. Exactly. -

Even so, the grey baseplate warriors will have to run out of funds or space at some point. The constant Clone sets can’t all remain bestsellers forever. The over-saturation this summer may cause a fluctuation in Lego’s overall sales. And then Lego will blame it on play-sets and make more buildable figures. (You know they want to) -

So let me get this straight? Instead of rectifying the fact that kids can’t currently access Han is his traditional outfit, any adult Leia, normal Lando or even Farmboy Luke, the LSW design team in their infinite wisdom decided to make 10 different variations of the same character this year? Half of which have literally 2 seconds of screen time. You know who I’m referring to. WTH is going on with the LSW design team?!! -

Videogame CMF would be excellent. Perfect opportunity to finally get characters like: Starkiller, Jedi Survivor, Merrin, Dagan Gera, Rebel Iden, 2nd Sister, Greez, Kay Vess, Kyle Katarn, Mara Jade, Bode Akuna, ND-5, etc… Likewise for books: Ascendancy/ or Lieutenant Thrawn, Eli Vanto, Vernestra Ro, Norra Wexley, Jas Emari, Sinjir Rath Velus, Doctor Aphra, ARC Trooper Alpha, Mara Jade, Gallius Rax, Governor Adelhard, etc… Or they could always go D&D style and make a bunch of different customisable character options. -

So Black Series is going to be releasing a Dedra Meero figure this year. But the interesting thing is that the leak (from Yakface who is apparently reliable according to r/Blackseries) is specifically listed as armoured. So that might be an appearance for her in Andor Season 2. Could we finally get a field gear imperial Officer that isn’t Veers if it’s armoured Dedra in the U-Wing? Edit: Come to think of it, it would actually make sense for Dedra to be wearing tactical gear if she’s going up against a U-Wing, as realistically she’s either participating in a field operation or a sting operation on Cassian if the U-Wing’s involved in the scene. Also @THELEGOBATMAN what do you think of this possibility? Seeing as this affects your sanity the most. -

Tell me you don’t read comics without telling me you don’t read comics. Let’s have a look at some ongoings. Absolute Batman (it’s peak and #1 is the bestselling comic of 2024) Absolute Wonder Woman (God of War if it was peak) Absolute Superman (#1 is the 3rd bestselling comic of 2024) Action Comics Birds of Prey Green Lantern (if it wasn’t popular they wouldn’t be releasing a 2nd ongoing run on Wednesday, or have done 2 event issues within a 3 month timespan) Justice League Unlimited Superman (Superwoman Lois is amazing) Wonder Woman All these are not only good, but also have had a considerable amount of commercial success. What if I told you Lanterns and Supergirl are already filming? Likewise for the stop motion of the Dynamic Duo animated movie. “That wretched Order company will rue the day they betrayed me and forsook Tanalorr Superman.” -

I too would love to see a return of polybag minifigures. Really great opportunity to get characters or character variants relevant to the year which we wouldn’t usually get. This year would be a great opportunity to get someone like Major Lio Partigaz, Sidon Ithano, Mon Mothma, Pantoran George Lucas, etc… -

I wonder what the May 4th GWPs will be this year. We know that the millennium falcon polybag will probably be the £40 one. The question is what will the other 2 GWP’s be. Will the Insiders exclusive be brick built or another coin thing? -

Who let Timothy Zahn into Lego HQ?!!! And why did he not make Thrawn sets instead of Clone ones?! (Blood Crow, Springhawk, and Tie Defender would genuinely slap) -

Bruh. Until their TV-Shows, Rhodey had more screen time than both Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch. Also he’s been around from the beginning and was part of the Endgame roster, him being a C-Lister or even a B-Lister is somewhat (emphasis on the somewhat) debatable. If anything, he’s the 2nd Gen Avenger who deserved his own project the most. Instead he got insulted in Secret Invasion. -

I know. I can’t believe I didn’t realise it last year. But a few days ago I ordered it because it’s a very neat set. Also. That’s just the beginning for my plans this year… with it looking lacklustre (for me btw, I’m happy for those who are happy) this summer I have decided to begin a little project. Speaking of which, can I get double VIP points on Pick a Brick on May 4th? -

Eagerly awaiting the inevitable Max Rebo mech. There is a serious lack of location play-sets this year. -

Theoretically, if Lego did decide to do a u-turn on more superman tie in sets. I reckon they could easily design and release a comic-based GL Mech with Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl (using wolverine cowl and D&D bird person’s wings) on short notice. Also it’d make sense as then the 4 main characters of this flagship kids’ comic releasing in the summer would be accessible to kids through cheap mechs. I know I’m just coping. Lego’s dropped the ball so hard from my perspective this year. Turtle was right. -

Who do we think could be included in this year’s advent calendar? I’d say that any of: Thrawn, Stormtrooper, Clone Pilot, shock trooper, Skiff Luke, Obi-Wan, Qui Gon, Darth Maul, Sabine, Bo Katan, Vader and Jedi Bob are all likely candidates. As for the Christmas figure, I’d say that CT2512 (what I designate the hasbro Christmas clone) is a possibility, when looking at the rest of the year. Also the AT ST has been confirmed as UCS by brickmerge. Maybe it’s finally time to buy the parts I need to build the imperial base of my dreams? I’d just hope we’d get a normal Battlepack of versatile imperial troopers soon to garrison it. Night troopers and Gideon’s boys just aren’t that versatile. -

Here’s the thing. The trailer doesn’t really make the film look fantastic. (But trench coat Ben is an absolute W) -

Yeah. I feel like one of my priorities when I have kids is making sure I can establish some common or adjacent interests. Top Priorities for interests: DC Comics Star Wars Lego (gonna hit them with the BPs, baseplates and spare bricks as soon as possible) Dogs (will probably get a Lab as soon as the oldest turns 5) If I fail. I will just restart the whole project. (I joke) -

On the subject of smaller sets. I actually wonder why Lego only made minifigure packs in 2022. They obviously sold extremely well since they were always out of stock. I miss them. I didn’t actually mind that they were amassable troops. I just really liked them because they were nice small sets. Lego should really bring them back. And if they do they should rebrand them as either A) named character packs (e.g. Jedi, Imperial Officers, Sith, Bounty Hunters, etc…) or B) special forces packs so army builders don’t buy a crazy amount (unnamed Jedi, Clone Commandos, Death Troopers, Purge Troopers, Inferno Squad, etc…) I also think a Delta Squad or Bad Batch battlepack would make a very neat cheap set. -
My honest reaction to the situation. Republicans and the Trump administration (Musk with a huge role within it) have majority control over the Senate, the Courts and the White House. (And now there’s the taxation of trade routes. Is George Lucas a time traveler?) I’d say that Musk will have a little less opposition within the US court system than he should have normally. Internationally I’m not so sure. (On another note, if Trump does tariff the EU, Lego might get a whole lot more expensive for ya’ll across the pond)

Really the age range is from 14 to early 20s/ late teens. Basically from middle school to university. Here in the UK we have cadet forces for the Army, Royal Navy and RAF. It’s a Ministry of Defence funded program (with a few donations from the parents) In the army syllabus we teach them stuff like: foot drill, rifle drill, weapon maintenance, fire and movement, battle tactics, some hand to hand combat, map and compass navigation, principles of marksmanship, first aid, target indication, field craft, formations, cooking in the field, fire building, basher building, urban warfare (TIBUA) and night time ambushes. On exercise we use blank ammunition. For these exercises we usually go to combat villages and other MOD training areas. We only use live rounds on ranges. Most contingents have an armoury of L98A2’s. From time to time we go on camps and stay at military bases. This gives the cadets a chance to run the obstacle course and work on their teamwork. Sennybridge and Oakhampton are personal favourites of mine. Another thing we do to make it more appealing is do a lot of adventure training (e.g.: climbing, canyoning, mountain biking, sea kayaking, caving etc..) It’s great. When I first became an army cadet I wasn’t too sure. But my experience has been life changing. So now I’m an instructor so I can make sure new cadets can have the same great experience I’ve had. But I digress. I wonder if we’ll get any reveals at SW celebration? The Andor U-Wing will probably get revealed before then. But I feel like K2S0 and the Ewok have a decent chance at it. -
I’ve had enough of Musk these past few months.
