Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

How do we know Indy specifically wasn’t the April Fools? That’s extremely debatable. It appears to be a combo of both Death Stars with Krennic and Chewie being the first fig leaks. -

(Low-key needs to happen for the entire Empire faction next year.) There’s one way out. But sadly there’s never more than 12 play-sets a year these days. Where are the Scout Troopers, Shadow Troopers and non-fleet Rebels at Lego?! The last non-fleet rebel troopers were in the Rogue One sets. -

There’s a LSW/ vintage toys panel at SW Celebration next month. 👀 My bet is they’ll either reveal the June sets, Jango’s Slave One or the August Buildable characters there. Also Bit Reactor’s new strategy game, M&G and a new animated project are getting panels -

Not a worst case scenario. At this point i’m accepting a scorched earth policy. I don’t need a win. I just need the Clone Bros to lose. I can already smell the “MUh eXcLusIVE fIGurE” come august. -

Lol. Made me chuckle there. Good point. I just want a desirable way to get Thrawn. I have no interest in buying Peridia. I yearn for a Tie Defender. That’s actually not a bad prediction. -

Who do you think will be in the AC this year? My personal yet realistic hopes are: Thrawn, Maul, Stormtrooper, Qui Gon, Christmas Clone (fitting conclusion to the year) and Sabine. -

Just wait until they make the buildable A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away And then Lego proceeds to make a title crawl series. The B1 battledroid does not need a reboot imo. Its current design has become a staple of the LSW brand. The only figure since 1999 which remains predominantly unchanged. Also. Ya’ll are over hate the current stormtroopers. I didn’t like them at first but they grew on me. I like how they give a nice blocky aesthetic to reflect they’re in Lego sets. I love both the 2014 and 2024 stormies equally. They both have their pros and cons. (But yeah, they do look like family guy troopers) -

Love how it’s been 6 months since our last info dump about the SW logo. This is a reference to how no one gives a kriff about it. Will there be a Lego exclusive come October this year? Such as the holiday diorama and Dropship vs Speeder. If so I feel like an Imperial patrol gunship with Enoch might be a good candidate for it. Both to tie in with the BP and Halloween. -
After all these years… Lloyd finally has a jet. What is Legends? Because Kai’s mech is fire.

You’re going to be very happy come this August. Mando movie tie-in set ideas (please Lego make some of these as part of next year’s January wave) Viper Probe Droid paper bag (£4.99) AT RT (£13.99): Mando and Grogu Imperial remnant battlepack (£19.99): 2 stormtroopers, incinerator trooper and a scout trooper (I need a cheap way to garrison the imperial base I’m working on.) MIDI-scale Arquitens New Republic A-Wing (£29.99): Carson Teeva, Zeb, New Republic soldier -
You’re alive! Good to have you back. I meant the alien slaves from the first Viltrumite war. Human’s are the exception for great compatibility. If you look at Thragg’s Thraxan hybrid thousands of them literally splat like flies just by trying to tackle Mark. Also Mark can be argued to be an exception for humans. Thanks to A) the GDA’s trillion dollar gym and B) Eve’s biological enhancements after Thragg attacks. (Also I feel like we don’t need to hide spoilers because the comic ended 7 years ago. The show has taken a bunch of different approaches already as well.) Oh yeah, I forgot about Space Racer’s laser. I do think that the GLs as a whole do have a decent chance at winning. But it’s going to be a bloodbath for them no matter what. To outdo Marvel and DC in 2026? Season 4 will have to be

Yes. But at the same time Eve’s constructs have a set limit. GL constructs and strength are relative to the GL’s own willpower. Hal Jordan is practically, and has been, willpower incarnate. John’s not too far behind. I do agree that Hal is the exception not the standard. But I do feel like that Hal has the ability to defeat Conquest, maybe not Thragg, but he’d definitely give both a good fight. He and Sodam Yat (practically a Viltrumite already) at base form should at least be the equivalent of Allen and Nolan. Bd’g and Ch’p could theoretically pull what one of them did to superman in Injustice and use constructs to block the Viltrumites’ synapses from firing. The real question is if Emotional Embodiments like Ion get involved. Parallax Hal and Ion Kyle would wreck some havoc. Someone had to get Ryut, Xanshi and Krypton’s vacant GL spots. Krypton’s might as well go to where the last survivors of the planet live. Overall I’d argue that while GLs have a numerical advantage and good number of heavy hitters (Hal, John, Sodam, Ganthet… planet puncher Sinestro) I do agree that it’s either a pyrrhic victory for the GLs (vast majority get slaughtered) or the Viltrumites win outright with at least 15 pure blood casualties Would anyone else want to see this in a comic crossover between Image and DC? (Image x DC x Marvel: Secret Crisis War would rexplode the box office.)

Congratulations. Alright. Let’s have a little powerscaling debate. I’ve been watching Invincible S3 (really good btw) and am wondering who would win in a fight. The Viltrumite Empire or the Green Lantern Corps. I know I may be biased in this so I need a second opinion. Viltrumite Advantages Conquest and Thragg are… well…. Conquest and Thragg Innumerable amounts of non-Viltrumite soldiers Regeneration. Planet killing abilities (yeah, Mogo ain’t doing anything against them) Fleet of massive warships 50 pure blooded Viltrumites GLC Advantages Hal Jordan took on Zod, Faora and Eradicator in the same fight and almost killed all 3 of them if the guardian’s hadn’t intervened. Sodam Yat is a Daxamite and therefore practically a Viltrumite with the added GL ring. Guardians are pretty OP John Stewart can turn himself into a impenetrable construct Kyle Rayner is either a White Lantern or Ion. Both are pretty powerful Parrallax gets involved? 7,200 Corpsmen

Good question. Here’s a few reasons for my reasoning: The last First Order/ Resistance sets were in 2020. I’m pretty sure there is a reason for that. (FYI, I do feel sorry for sequel fans they should get something but I’m just using logic here) The majority of starfighters for both Resistance and First Order are rehashes of more iconic OT starfighters. PO’s X-Wing might be able to get away with it, but a basic FO Tie would require a basic imperial tie to be off shelves entirely. Which will probably not happen within the next 2-3 years. Neither the Resistance or First Order are actually currently relevant in any way at all right now. The Empire is the antagonistic force for the Mando-verse, other TV shows and literally all current video games. With Rebels being the faction going against the empire. Even clones have shown up in recent live action and animated projects. ST troopers have not. While I do believe that there should be something for ST and Legends fans, they just aren’t as popular as the PT, OT and TCW whose fans make up the vast majority of Lego’s consumerbase. Character designs are practically indistinguishable between Empire/ Rebels and First Order/ Resistance to casuals. “Bad guys in white or black armour led by a man with a mask and red lightsaber flying tie fighters and 4 legged walkers? Good guys in Orange jump suits flying X-Wings and A-Wings? They look great for fighting for the Death Star.” — 6 year old and their mother probably. From these reasons I have deduced that the Sequels primarily suffer from A) a general lack of interest (yes I know there are sequel fans, but there just aren’t enough) and B) not enough unique designs. Sure there are Kylo Wren’s shuttle, FO Troop Transport, Resistance Bomber (absolutely useless starship BTW, there’s a reason they brought back the Y-Wing’s rebel design) and maybe Rey’s speeder. But those would only amount to two years of my proposed formula before we hit remakes. But that’s enough yapping. To sum up, my formula is an attempt to balance the current Lego status quo. Sequels aren’t part of the current status quo because they aren’t popular enough, and therefore not incorporated into my proposed formula. (Sorry, you guys do deserve some sets though. It does suck that circumstances make it this way.) -

Looking at the ARC-170 it’s probably going to be £59.99 for us. Pretty reasonable if you ask me when looking at the new/resurrected moulds and relatively large parts. I hope so. But the Clone sets are like an itch, Lego cannot help it. Would have worked extremely well with Andor as well. Exactly. No faction should have supremacy over the others (unless it’s the aftermath of a year where the opposite faction starred in a movie and got loads of the tie-in sets) and I say this as an empire fan. As far as I’m concerned Lego should focus on these 4 factions: Rebels (this includes mandalorians and other anti imperialists), Empire, Separatists and Republic. Here’s my proposed formula. Regardless of content being released. Every year 2 of these factions get individual starfighter sets, the other 2 factions get incorporated into 1 starfighter duel pack. Every year 2 of these factions get a Battlepack of some sort. Every year each faction gets a 2nd sort of set. Either a ground vehicle, location, Main Character’s vehicle or a Dropship. The 2 UCS of the year rotate between factions. Perfectly balanced as all things should be. There are then a further 2 sets to cover pirates, bounty hunters, monsters and mandatory Baby Yoda. -

It is. And we already know damn well which faction has prevented their appearance. If you ask me, I think the U-Wing warrants a tie-in Battlepack more than the Battle of Peridia which is getting the Night Trooper Battlepack. I mean, Andor is a pretty trooper focused show. A Battlepack could include any of: Army Troopers, Stormtroopers, Death Troopers, CompForce Troopers, ISB officers, Partisan Soliders…. They could even call it a generic imperial BP and include scout troopers (which haven’t been released in a set since 2023 BTW (which was still 18+)) and it’d still work pretty damn perfectly to as a antagonist set to the U-Wing. But Night Troopers right now are a particularly niche and not very versatile trooper variant. Who have no guarantees of maintaining the red bandages the next time they show up. Potentially making them even less versatile. When it comes to the empire I prefer more versatile units in battlepacks. Helps build a occupation force. I thought of this too. I would like it to be the case because it’d be cool. But on the other hand, I hope it isn’t because I’ only want to buy the U-Wing and another Dropship vs Speeder on May 4th. -

WE’VE GOT OUR FIRST LOOK AT THE U-WING! THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL!! Dedra has a dual moulded cap (that’s a new part for your list @BrickBob Studpants) by looks of things and is in a trench coat. @THELEGOBATMAN you’ll be happy to know she looks fabulous. The rumoured stormtroopers are actually the cap and armour guys we see in the trailer. CompForce troopers? The build looks clean, albeit small. The troop compartment looks sizeable enough for a small squad though. Most hyped set of the year for me and it appears it lived up to my hopes and expectations. (Wait where is the 2nd trooper?!)
