  1. I love that the one thing constant in all divisions of the empire is that lucasfilm refuses to realease a definitive rank guide. Scout Troopers are part of what I, and the British Army, would call a combat support unit. They’d be their own separate platoon working alongside the company. Usually there’s 1 Platoon, 2 Platoon, 3 Platoon and the combat support platoon in a company. A Company, B Company, C Company and Support Company in a battalion. @Max_Lego: Love the custom builds and minifigures. That Defender is absolutely gorgeous. Nice rank compilation. I prefer the ABY rank insignias, much easier to remember. I really like those. Large group of troops close together whilst creating an action packed scene. Shame they’re all going to die.
  2. You have to use pauldrons to distinguish field officers/ NCOs (The following is according to wookiepedia) Black = corporal or just a normal sand trooper / magma trooper (personally I use these to distinguish special security) White = sergeant Red = squad leaders (I think this means lieutenants) Orange = Captain All the colours have been made. But only for sand troopers, death troopers and FO stormtroopers. I’m hoping that Lego uses the new plastic cape material to make pauldrons in the near future, Fair enough. New republic A-Wing with Carson Teeva, Zeb, NR trooper and/ or a NR navy officer would be the dream (could triple as a New Republic, Rebel and Resistance set)
  3. Thank you for your replies so far guys. They’ve been really interesting. Same here. My entire 501st contingent is grouped with a few light vehicles on my shelf. Fair enough. The last non X-wing rebel starfighter was in 2019. (I do not count the E-Wing since that’s a New Republic vehicle) and the separatists need something to counter the Clones’ ridiculously sized arsenal compared to other factions. Relatable. I kinda take away the droids’ blasters and give them to the troopers who came from 2014-2020 battlepacks. Wow. That’s really convenient for you. I hope they turn out well. Lot’s of variety in display. I respect it. Thanks. Though these are just some of my grunts. It doesn’t include starfighter corps, navy, specialised units and special forces personnel. Impressive. Most impressive. I like how you make sure that you have a clear leadership for each faction instead of just using un-named officers or just stacking troops, it adds some personality. This is the way. (But honestly I’d prefer to get one BP with Maul’s Mandos so their could be an antagonistic faction to the good rainbow mandos) I admire the ambition. Let me know when you release it. I’d love to see how it turns out. A truly mighty military you’ve accumulated, even if unintentional. I love your customs. They show that you’ve really put the effort into making the full on cast for your intended production. I too would like this. Especially if it had a modular function as it’d really help me build an imperial base. Thanks! I figured that it was a massive pillar of the LSW community about which the specifics weren’t brought up much on the forum. Does anyone else use a command structure between factions? (I use this when I engage in my ‘tabletop Lego wars’ with friends. In charge of my navy I have Admiral Raddus as IC (In Command) and Vice-Admiral Sloane as 2IC (2nd In Command) In charge of my army I have General Hux as IC and General Veers as 2IC. Below them I have Cody, Rex and Fox as division commanders. (The high command are the most incompetent out of my divisions (most damage is done by Hux as Veers isn’t actually that bad) but are supplemented by good field commanders) In charge of my starfighter corps I have General Merrick as IC and Commander Oddball as the incoming 2IC (yet to get new ARC-170) In charge of my intelligence unit I have Agent Kallus (soon to be replaced as IC by Dedra Meero) In overall command I have Tarkin. By the alone fact that he’s the highest ranking non-force sensitive I own. Un-named officers fulfil various duties within the different divisions.
  4. When do you guys reckon we’ll hear more about the spider-verse CMF? I want to see whether the character roster is worth it not being DC S2 or Marvel S3.
  5. Maybe the “in more ways than one” refers to there being a second ship in the set? Both the killer and the killed? Suggesting that it’s a full set based off the scene where original gold leader dies (in universe) Edit: But, on the other hand, I did some research. There were also gold leaders at the battles of Anaxes and Muunilist. And I know the latter’s legends but… during that battle this exact phrase was spoken: "Commander, we lost Gold Leader." It would also fit with the knowledge (from Max-Baut) we’re getting a P1 Clone Pilot in the summer, and the starfighters in that battle were V-19 torrents (Could we get Fordo?!!) The ‘in more ways than one’ could also possibly mean we’re getting both a V-19 and a rebel y-wing. But that’s just a theory…. A Commando theory. If Lego followed that logic, we shouldn’t be getting Ben Kenobi, Black Panther, Adam West Batman, Princess Leia or Darth Vader minifigs Would be cool. But I doubt it.
  6. Ah yes. I believe it’s a metaphor for the Snyder Cult.
  7. I’m curious as to how everyone army builds differently. Do you separate your units? Do you separate factions? Do you form different divisions? Do you have a preference in formations? Do you use different formations for differently sized units? Do you incorporate vehicles into the display? Do you army build one faction exclusively? What size and colour of baseplate do you use if any? Is there a specific trooper type you army build? Do you even army build at all? Here’s a small example of how I do it: And finally: if Lego could make 3 sets that you’d like solely for the purpose of improving your LSW army, what would they be? I’d love to hear how you guys do it. It’ll be interesting to see how everyone differentiates from each other and whether there are some constants.
  8. Maybe we should dial back the Man references. What vehicle do you guys think the Batcave will include?
  9. Mark Shitto! Can’t wait for Paul to be in the Oscorp modular when it comes round.
  10. As much as i want an attack shuttle… I’m starting to think that the clone pilot set that max-baut teased will be this year’s starfighter dual pack.
  11. Supergirl canonically sold the cure to cancer to him for $1 million. (She wanted the money to pay for a sushi date with her boyfriend)
  12. No! IT’S MINEEEEE— Wait. What are we doing? Maybe we should have shared custody? Cool theory. Or maybe whilst Mara’s visiting there there’s a sudden shift of black holes or a traitor (Bode’s ghost!!!) destroys all the compasses that Cal made. That way Mara, Merrin and Cal couldn’t be freed to help rebuild the greater order until someone locates one of the other compasses that Santari Khri hid away that weren’t on Koboh. Then during the NJO movie Rey finds one of said compasses. And just in time because the Zeffo have returned to the galaxy. And are out to conquer it for the Grysk. And who would be better for the task of helping Rey than Cal Kestis. The only Jedi who has experience with Zeffo tech since Cordova died. (A difference in time flow between Tanalorr and the rest of the galaxy would also be optimal as then Cal and Merrin would still be in their prime.) I didn’t. The ring did. It has a similar though pattern to me.
  13. Don’t make me pull out the Orange Lantern! TANALORR IS MINE!!!!
  14. Tanalorr is actually a gateway to all major locations in what I call the “Aslume-verse.” That’s why Dagan Gera wanted to control it so much. It could essentially be used as a staging ground for a Bedlam Raider invasion into Ham City, London, Fan y Big (actual place in wales), Lego City, Goth City, Harambe’s enclosure, any and all Greggs (the steak bakes must flow) and Officer Bald’s bedroom. It is a very strategic position. (IT’S MINE!!!!)
  15. Goth city? Ah yes, that’s where Merrin and Raven live. They share an apartment in the west end.
  16. Ah yes. A mech set where the experience/ make-up of the build has poor structure, completely ignores some of the key points of the characters and has un-needed Jesus imagery.
  17. Why is Man giant? Is he stupid? Interesting that Iron Man has a sword and shield. I wonder if they’re new moulds.
  18. And there lies the problem with Lego’s price increases I wonder whether the UT-AT will have a similar troop capacity to the AT TE. Now that the Clone vs Droid Battlepack exists, I feel that Lego’s going to start putting as many different legions as possible into larger sets as they can just be reinforced by the very versatile P2 shinies.
  19. Happy new year. Let us pray that 2025 bears fruit for the theme.
  20. After a Black Pearl and Dutchman I’d say that the Interceptor would be next. It’s the only British ship that would actually have a recognisable character roster. Who could they include in the Endeavour? Jack, Beckett and Will? The Interceptor has the possibility to include all of Jack’s crew in CotBP, Jack, Will, Elizabeth, Commodore Norrington, Governor Swann and the 2 redcoats (I forget their names)
  21. Just a suggestion for that abnormal Turbo tank price point and piece count… https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fstarwars.fandom.com%2Fwiki%2FMTV-7_light_vehicle&psig=AOvVaw3mFXyY3Eo3Aaa6kjSRO9pQ&ust=1735750968066000&source=images&cd=vfe&opi=89978449&ved=0CBQQjhxqFwoTCNiCyrq-0ooDFQAAAAAdAAAAABAE We know that Lego’s leaning into doing gimmicky things, even when marketed for kids (75392). And Lego City is getting a Go Kart series in January (including Luigi the Pizza man) I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to suggest that Lego may try and make a LSW Go-Kart/ Microfighter large pack in the near future. And there’s the fact that the MTV-7 looks like a small Turbo Tank (plus imagine the cool characters they could include in a set like that)
