It hasn't frayed yet on my Storm minifigure. Meanwhile half the other capes I got during that same time period are all bent up already. I'm betting at the end of the day the lifespan for each fabric will be similar. The new ones may eventually fray, but the old ones will eventually wrinkle too.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
strangely replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, Lego was apparently listening when we were all complaining about accuracy during the last Avengers line. Everyone looks pretty spot on, now all we need is better resolution pictures so we can confirm that Black Widow no longer has that ghoulish old face from her last appearance. Two Hulks seems excessive. I want both Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, so I guess Lego will be duping me into buying both those sets. -
I like the capes, especially for Supergirl. Hopefully we'll get a purple one down the line for Batgirl (Because her hair has wrinkled the old one a lot). I will agree the neckline doesn't look quite right, but to be honest I actually thought that with the old capes too, so this is just more of the same for me. My only real disappointment is the same old Superman. They could've at least given us a new face variation or boots.

Correct! That's Jack Nicholson in The Little Shop of Horrors.

Okay, for my turn:

Arsenic and Old Lace! Though I think that photograph is from the play rather than the movie (As I recall the stairs went to the right in the film). Also it almost looks as if you can see the stage at the bottom of the picture.

Well the Javelin is pretty much everything I was hoping it would be. I'm hoping the Brainiac review goes up soon, I'm most interested in seeing that one as that's the one we've seen the least of.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
strangely replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
It's not. Bootlegs of Lego products have existed for years. Lego knows they exist. And honestly most of the bootlegs are of miserable quality and thus aren't much of a threat. Even the really good bootleggers still use inferior plastics and have so-so quality control when it comes to printing. Lego has better things to do than hunt down cheap bootleggers. -
I'm thinking we'll get Deathstroke before to much longer, especially since he's being used in Arrow and might be appearing in the Teen Titans Go cartoon. Really I could see them doing a summer set with Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire and Deathstroke (Renamed either "Slade" or "Slade Wilson"). The game designs for all four had printing that's possible for Lego to print. Plus with the new live-action Titans show coming next year I wouldn't be surprised in at least one comic set was made.

I don't mind her hat/hair piece, but I think they should have included a version without the hat as well. Though I'm betting they will somewhere down the line. There's obviously more to be done with this movie.

I had assumed it was a real prop. I mean it would definitely be a stunt to pull off, but I'm guessing they use magnets or something to keep the head on. Seriously makes me wonder how Lego will end up making it when it inevitably ends up in a set.

The Rhino is missing the eyes printed on the side of his head, that's sort of a bummer that they missed that detail. It looks surprisingly good otherwise. -
It looks to be a pretty good set, definitely a high point for this theme, for once the building involved actually manages to look somewhat like the building it's based on. The likenesses of the characters are better too, correct eye colors for the both of them and freckles for anna. All we need now is correct eyebrow colors and a different eyelash pattern for Elsa and they'd look pretty close to their movie counterparts. Though I do think they should have created a new dress piece for Anna as her skirt isn't floor length like Elsa's. Olaf looks pretty good, but his head doesn't look quite right, the nose bothers me.

A felt cape would be awesome. I truly hate the rigid ones we have now, they wrinkle so easily. With Batgirl's hair hanging so low it's creased her cape a ton, plus in stop motion it's almost impossible to animate her cape since it gets caught against her hair (Though those capes are hard to animate on any minifigure because of how rigid they are). I'm hoping Batgirl ends up being in Batman v Superman because I really want an updated minifigure for her. Her cowl bothers me, the ears are too tall and her hair is too long. Plus I like her new costume better.

Only one face for the driver? That's pretty lazy, unless actually he's afraid of bananas and thus always in a constant state of fear. I was really hoping there was a normal face so I could use that head for Tim Drake. Oh well...

Apparently in response to the leaks Sony is considering the deal again, but they may not push for creative control anymore. So it is still possible there could be a Spidey cameo in Civil War if they come to an agreement before filming starts. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=112229 -
The prices are more than I expected. I wonder if Toysrus is marking them up a bit (As they usually do). I'll end up buying them one way or the other, but the Manta I'll wait for a sale (As I really only want Manta and the sub, so I'm in no rush to get that one).

Usually I only ever see the Lego store actually following the release date. There's a pretty good chance they'll wind up in stores before the new year.

Legs look a bit bizarre, but that was a problem in the source material, so no surprise there. Torso printing looks really nice though. I'm a little disappointed they didn't give her a new facial expression.

I'm honestly hoping Stan Lee makes it into a set at some point. He's in pretty much all of these movies, I feel like eventually he has to end up in a set as a civilian in danger. I'm definitely hoping for a summer wave with Spider-man sets. Honestly I would be disappointed if they just gave us Avengers and nothing else. Plus I still need a comic Green Goblin and a Gwen Stacy... -
I'd say odds aren't great. Lego hasn't done much with any of the live-action shows yet. It's possible, just not likely. I think at the most we might see a comic set that features popular characters who are in the show (Sort of like how the USM sets just happened to have villains from the movie that was coming out at the same time). Personally the only live-action DC show I would really want sets for would be Titans, but that's solely because I want to complete my Titans team.

Yeah, the shiny grey plastic doesn't look very good on that, that seems to be the big problem with these bootleg bigifgs. Lego uses really nice plastic, that even without texture looks great, the bootleggers have yet to get that right though. The printing is obviously lacking too, it looks a bit too washed out, though that could just be a printing error. -
That's a good point, it is much more a mask than a head. If they just wanted a pumpkin head then there's already a head printed like that. Seeing a leak for something not due until August/September of next year seems really early. If series 14 was coming in the spring than I wouldn't have a hard time believing it, but seeing something this early for an August release seems pretty unlikely. Plus I would be disappointed if it were a CMF, because he'd end up being a headless and horseless man as that would not be possible to fit a horse in a bag like that. I'd rather have a headless horseman with a specially printed horse than just a guy with a pumpkin head and nothing else. And without the horse this opens up the possibility of him just being a scarecrow variation... And I would not like that at all... I will also say it wouldn't be that great of an idea for Lego to put monsters in the CMF while launching a monster theme at the same time. Especially a specially molded monster like a headless horseman. That seems like a waste to put it into a CMF when there's a theme they could have put it in.

Is there a release date for that series yet? If we do get another series of Simpsons than 14 could be pushed to fall 2015, so this would be really early to see that piece (Though I suppose 14 could be in Spring and Simpsons in fall).
