  1. Yeah, they just posted closeups of all of them, it's definitely a new teacup. Bogart Snape looks awesome!
  2. Could Umbridge be holding a new teacup mold? It doesn't look like the regular cup, the handle looks different to me.
  3. Some of the early HP sets were particularly simple though, I mean there was like three sets that had cardboard walls rather than brick built... Which is maybe a bit more junior than some of the other sets of the time.
  4. The first two movies are definitely children's movies, even the early Lego sets for those movies are built similar to the Juniors sets of today. So I don't think it's unreasonable to have a few Juniors sets. It would be nice just because of the specially printed elements that always end up included in Juniors sets.
  5. Okay, gotcha, that makes more sense. Thought I had seriously missed something there for a minute.
  6. Which set has a Diplodocus? Did I miss something?
  7. I really wish the Jurassic Park set hadn't been a Walmart exclusive, but only because their customer service is extremely poor. According to Brickseek the dozen Walmart's in a 20 mile radius around me all have it in stock, but I've yet to find it. When I talk to customer service they get as far as verifying that they have it in stock and can sell it, but they have no idea where it's at in the store. Even worse, the last Walmart I called, when I tried to give the employee the UPC number to look it up, he said they don't use those... Honestly, a telephone psychic would have been more helpful than that last character I talked to.
  8. For me, dark tan is kind of a lateral move. Tim's hair I've always thought was kind of auburn, the color Lego chose is just a bit too light to me. But yeah, Lex's hair should be lighter than Tim's, Lego's choice on hair colors is off on pretty much all of these characters. Without a better replacement for her hair I figure if I go darker for Tim it'll be a better balance.
  9. To be fair, she has dirty blonde hair and there's not a good color in the Lego palette to represent that. I'm more bothered by the fact that 3 of the 4 minifigures seem to have the same hair color. I think Tim's hair should have been more orange, fortunately I can swap a more suitable color in. I think I'll take the games suggestion and replace Alan's hair with Emmet's.
  10. They couldn't even print the Barbasol can, it's official, I'm salty. Then again, who can afford those expensive Barbasol rights? I guess we'll just have to settle for 'off brand Spider-man water bottle' instead.
  11. So they included the Embryo Cold Storage, but no Nedry to steal the Embryos. The included a ladder, but no ceiling to climb into... I just don't know how to feel about this set. I mean I believed the rumors fully and was super excited and yet I'm somehow underwhelmed. Still, I love the $40 price and I actually feel like I'm getting my money's worth, so I'll be happy with it. I wish they hadn't bothered with Alan's hat and given him a double sided head, his happy face is just so wrong for the content of this set (Notice his hair is present as well). Ellie's hair doesn't really fit. All I can say is that this better not be the only set. I still need Nedry, Hammond, Malcolm and a Jeep. No, but I'll read your magazine.
  12. In fairness, there were times in the past where Lego wasn't great with it's usage of female characters. There were definitely times where they were favoring male characters over female characters (Though that was a prevailing trend in toys for quite some time and still is for some companies, thankfully Lego has improved on that front and is much more progressive than that). So I can see how a person might interpret fewer features for a female character in comparison to male characters as a slight against women, but I definitely don't think that's what's happening here. In terms of unique features Hermione got a completely new hair piece whereas Ron only received a recolor. So if Hermione does have only a single sided face she still comes out pretty even with Ron. Honestly though, I don't see a way that Hermione doesn't get a dual sided head.
  13. It occurs to me that they didn't bother to give Hermione or Susan skirts. Which seems a little odd given how prevalent the short dual molded legs have become. It's too bad really, they could have done dark grey and flesh molding and then printed the shoe (Like they did for the PPG legs) and then thrown in a cloth element. Hopefully they're just saving it for the CMF, it's not like it wouldn't be useful given that half the students wear skirts.
  14. I hope the toy fair version is closer to what we're getting, cause honestly it's better than the official pictures we got yesterday. The added height really makes it look a lot better, too without that floor layer we lose play features. Then there's the new arch pieces in the courtyard. Why even show us this at toyfair if the real set is just going to be a watered down version that's smaller and has less features? Or wait... What if the Hogwarts set includes these extra pieces to enhance the great hall set when connecting the two?
  15. In regards to the gate, sine we're getting a juniors version of it, it just seems unlikely they'd give us another. As for the paddock, I don't think the demand is that high since we've had a decent number of paddocks already. I'll say that I want the Explorer over everything else. Visitor's Center second.
  16. SO IT WAS YOU!!! Your sacrifice saved us all. I know the feeling though, I bought the Junior's Green Goblin off eBay and before it could even ship the comic accurate one leaked. It's like Lego is secretly watching us, toying with us.
  17. I really like the raptor, it looks perfect to me. I heavily disliked the colors of the dinos in the past. They were just too bright for my taste and looked a bit cheap to me. However, seeing them in this new color palette really makes them look so much better. As for that rumor, I'd be a bit disappointed if they didn't give us the Explorer. As much as I'd love the kitchen and control room, I would prefer the Explorer over them, especially if this is the only set they give us for JP. If they plan on giving us more, than fine, I'll take a portion of the visitor's center.
  18. I'm guessing either a new color (which would be nice considering how bright the other one was) or it'll be a head variation without the fringe sticking out.
  19. I have to say, these four minifigures are actually an improvement over the video game variants (Which is surprising). The color choices are a little more refined, Lex and Tim's hair colors are a bit more accurate. And really, I can see a lot of potential uses for the dual molded legs. I do wish they had made a dual molded hat/hair piece for Dr. Grant, likewise I wish they had given Tim dual molded legs (Like they did for the Simpsons kids). Otherwise these all look great. Now, if we could only get a glimpse into what the build is going to be. Edit: Upon rewatching the movie, I can't help but think they should have given us the swept back bun piece for Ellie since her hair is like that for nearly 2/3 of the movie. If only they made that piece in the right color. Though in a perfect world they would have given us a hairpiece with bangs (They really need a ponytail piece with bangs, it feels like several characters this year could have used a piece like that).
  20. I have to say, Mr. Incredible looks way better with the belt printed on the torso. I know it's a small change, but it helps it a lot. The facial expression is good too, hopefully we'll get another one on the other side of his head. Underminer looks good, the nose actually kind of works. After seeing these two I really think the sets will be good despite being Junior's sets.
  21. It's interesting that Alan Grant is using the classic Lego hairpiece. It makes me wonder if perhaps it's the new version of it from the upcoming CMF that has a hole in the top, perhaps to attach a hat via peg. That would be nice as I would really like to have a hat/hair combo rather than choosing one or the other. I'm excited to see this set. At the very least I'm hoping it includes Lex and Ellie too. Of course I'd like to have Hammond, Ian and Nedry too. As for build, I'd like the Visitor's Center, but I don't think that's likely. I don't expect to see the gate either as some form of it is included in the Junior's set. I'm guessing it'll be the explorer and honestly, that's what I want most anyways. I loved the game version of it, to get a slightly more refined version of it in a set would be the absolute best. This is officially the set I'm most looking forward to this year, I've been waiting so long...
  22. I just saw the picture of Alan and Tim, they look pretty legitimate. The picture also features minifigures from the upcoming JW sets, so seems pretty real to me.
  23. Yeah, I was wondering about this too. As much as I want the car, I don't know that I'd buy the set for that price tag if the majority of the build is just a tree. Maybe had it been year 3 based and included Sirius, Lupin, Hermione and Peter Pettigrew too.
  24. In the Juniors line there's also a Belle set and Ariel set, a balcony with Cogsworth and an underwater carriage, respectively. I'm thinking the Tangled sets are based on the show, as the show version of Rapunzel is used on the box art.
  25. At least it's a piece that's available in other colors, so an easy swap can be made. The lack of unique/accurate printing has less purist solutions. But honestly, I don't really think either color they've chosen looks right on her. So I would be happy to see her completely revamped.
