  1. If there is one bright side to them being Junior sets, at least we'll get some nice printed elements. And honestly, so long as the minifigures match the style of the Disney CMF one than I'll be perfectly content. I do hope that if we get jack-jack they'll use the existing baby mold as it would be nice to get some variation for that mold.
  2. I don't mind the Incredibles 2 being Junior sets so long as the characters are minifigures. I'm pretty impressed with the other Disney sets. Cinderella's castle almost looks like a regular Lego set, the building techniques in this theme are finally starting to mature. Too, the color scheme is starting to look a lot better, much closer to the movies. And the fact that they're regularly including side characters and villains is a vast improvement.
  3. The hat is similar to Penguin's, but it definitely has hair molded on the back.
  4. Strange, Gentleman Ghosts top hat has hair molded onto it... Looks at avatar quietly... Anyways, I don't see myself getting the bat shuttle. Cool build, but too many variant and not enough new characters. The other four sets are awesome though. I'm mad at myself that I'll have yet another bat dune buggy, but I really want Boomerang. The Justice League party is easily my favorite of the bunch, cool build and good minifigure selection. Though honestly, between Harley's truck and the Egghead mech there's no shortage of awesomeness in this wave. Now, if the CMF can include Cyborg, the Batwoman styled Batgirl variant and a flesh tone baby then I'll have everything I want from the movie.
  5. That's an excellent idea. Likewise I hope it comes in brown, so I can make a Mei custom. Really these minifigures are making a number of Overwatch characters possible.
  6. I don't like how far out the new arm sticks out. I wish they'd done something more in the vein of the old robot arm mold, it could have been more versatile. Too, it looks very strange having one special arm and then one standard minifigure arm. I actually like the top part of the new arm, it really matches the movie. I wish the left arm had that detail too, but with a hand at the bottom.
  7. I'm planning on using the Leslie Jones hairpiece from the Ghostbusters (2016) set. It's not exactly right, but I like it better than that Orc hair.
  8. Boots, but I digress. As for Aquaman, I like the design and I actually really like the set. It's also nice getting a set without Batman, though admittedly it's a little strange seeing Aquaman carry a set on his own.
  9. I managed to get the Vulture set. His mask looks better in person, I'm upgrading my opinion from bad to OK. I really don't like that truck build though. The front is great, but the back half is awful. I'm thinking of turning it into a pickup truck.
  10. Could be a sign. Supposedly Lego Dimensions year 3 was going to feature more Scooby Doo before it was canceled. Perhaps Lego has sets in the works for next year.
  11. Awesome teaser trailer. The Green Goblin fighting Baby Groot? I'm sold.
  12. It's interesting that Spider-man 2099 has a blank spot on his legs where the printing stops, just like it would be on a real minifigure. I wonder if there's some possibility it's going to be a real minifigure. If there could be a store exclusive that we don't know about featuring him and Spider-Gwen that would be awesome.
  13. Same here. Printed boots just never look good, especially since they never bother to print the sides of the legs (Which makes me wonder why they bother to print the fronts since the lack of side printing shatters any illusion that these are boots).
  14. No, look at the side of the legs, they're black. These are black legs with gray printing.
  15. A clone head? Well, it could have been worse, they could have gotten rid of Batman's dual molded legs... Oh wait... I get that there's a budget for each set and sometimes they have to cut corners to include everything they want, but there comes a point where it starts to work against them. If it weren't bad enough that they cheaped out on Superman's legs they had to do it with Batman too. Granted, at least for Batman they recognized that people wanted the boots with printing, too bad the execution is terrible.
  16. Well, I like this Cyborg better than the New 52 version, but unfortunately it just doesn't stack up to the Lego Batman Movie variation (Which we'll probably never get). I don't particularly like his costume in the movie and I had hoped I'd like the Lego version better, but it has the same problem; the design is just too busy. Still, it's not a bad looking minifigure, just not what I want from Cyborg.
  17. I hadn't seen Batman's stubble or leg printing before. That makes me a little more forgiving. Still, I can' imagine buying the Knightcrawler. I'll buy Batmobile's, Batplane's, BatTrain's and BatBox's called Flying Foxes, but I would not, could not, buy another stupid Bat-Mech or whatever that thing is pretending to be.
  18. I am excited for Cyborg, he looks fantastic. As for Batman, I just don't care about getting another variant of him. Ultimately, it's just underwhelming. In this set we get one new character (Stephennwolf), two new variants and four recycled minifigures. Then, in terms of build, we get one new ship and then a modified version of a Batmobile we already have. It's not an awful set, but with the other sets that are out there it's kind of redundant.
  19. True, but in that case they had already given us several new characters, including the best Green Goblin variant and an amazing build. So no boots didn't really matter when the rest of the set was awesome.
  20. Yeah, but this Superman is in the biggest set, so it lacking boots is kind of annoying, especially when there's a high amount of minifigure recycling going on to begin with. If they're going to give us old minifigures, they might as well throw in the boots that already exist.
  21. I love E.T., Gremlins and Disney. Those work for me, I like the molded heads there. They don't feel out of place, but that's really because their art styles are more universal and less extreme.
  22. Some great printing and sculpting for that head. Unfortunately, I think the problem is with the body. It just doesn't look right attached to that head. Her dress doesn't really look like a dress either. As much as I liked the orIginal Powerpuff Girls, I don't think I can compel myself to buy this. This Mashup of styles doesn't work for me. They should have chosen either traditional Lego style or completely scultped. Really, if Lego is going to continue to license heavily stylized cartoons they might just want to cut to the chase and sculpt new bodies. Because slapping a molded, non Lego styled head onto a Lego body just doesn't seem to look that good. This is actually one area where Megabloks is ahead of them.
  23. In the images I've seen it looks like the color around the eyes is the same/similar as the color around her mouth. So instead of it being the white of her eyes you could pretend it's skin instead. Alternatively if you're not opposed to some customization you could color in around the eyes, as the pupils are pretty much the same as the regular minifigures. Or there's always swapping out the head with another, maybe buying a custom head. It's not ideal, but there are definitely some solutions to get around it. I'm really hoping Lego doesn't cheap out on us, she should have dual molded legs. If she has that than I can live with the weird face.
  24. I think that's what makes the Homecoming sets seem so poor, the Thor minifigures are awesome. I'm genuinely surprised at the amount of new molds and complex printing used. With Homecoming there's just so much laziness going on. For Hela we get that amazing helmet, for Vulture we get an Iron Man helmet. I mean the disparity in quality makes it a bit surprising these are a part of the same theme. And I get that Shocker is accurate to the movie, but they could have at least made up for the blandness with a new gauntlet (Especially in light of the lack of new molds on the other characters).
