  1. How did you manage that - they don't even fit! Anyway, arms and hands come out naturally, but legs? Many KABOBs I know don't even know you can swap the legs over! Shark=Carnivore Pirate=Food Imperial=Fast Food (full of fat and salt) Islander=Friend Armada=Paella SlyOwl
  2. Welcome! *sweet* Congratulations, Professor Higgins! *y* Another pirate here! I got the SES for Christmas and it's awesome; too bad I didn't get it when I was...1! X-D SlyOwl
  3. Welcome! :-) *y*
  4. I'll run the back of the box past my Japanese teacher tomorrow; get a translation ;-) Looks like Sinner up to his old tricks with Colette! X-D SlyOwl
  5. *y* *sweet* Nice ship! Is that you lying dead in the background? :-D SlyOwl
  6. Sharks for me. Chomp Chomp Chompity Chomp! You can fit tons of hands in their stomachs! They're great for playability and an absolute necessity! |-/ 8-
  7. Well I really wanted a one-layer solution and this part could have helped, but it would have meant a 2.5 height, so it won't really work. The trouble is, I was using a pentagon-based pyramid, and so each different layer would have to be a different distance form the corners... I think I might turn to a hexagon, but it will ruin my colour scheme (limited parts |-/ ) and will look slightly stranger... Ah well. Thanks anyway. :-) SlyOwl
  8. It just needs to have an axle hole in the very centre (+ or o). That's all.
  9. *y* :-) IMHO a transparent one would look cooler! Impossible, true, but awesome nonetheless! ;-) SlyOwl
  10. Ok. Customs? Are we supposed to design it like an official set would be - action features, <insert that tiresome argument> parts e.t.c? Or as a MOC? How many parts do minifigs count as? Ah, Kermit *wub* SlyOwl
  11. Can anybody help me please? I'm trying to connect each of the five corners of a pentagon to the centre using Technic, but resulting in an axle hole in the centre. - Is there a piece I could use to do this? Like so. I'll be using it in a MOC of mine, coming soon (hopefully). *y* SlyOwl
  12. Or you could go to Brickset and find the set, then click on Brickfactory; although it's Dutch and difficult to browse, going straight to the required page is straightforward from Brickset. It allows you to cycle through quickly and doesn't load as slowly as Peeron. It also doesn't open a new page for each sheet, like Peeron does (I know they're using Acrobat for some of them now, but meh, it takes a long time to load). SlyOwl
  13. So they do! Or you could buy a gold C3P0 and cut it down to size! SlyOwl
  14. is this listing for all ships, or just ones using the standard hull pieces or bigger? - Would the smaller ships be listed, like the IMPT? Yeah, but the King always gets in a right ol' muddle, brigadier! :-P SlyOwl
  15. *y* :-) Now I see more pictures, I find this set isn't as great as it could have been, and massively overpriced. It doesn't look nearly as good as it does in the catalogues and the handle...? I guess it's actually necessary to stop it rolling over and to push/fire it, so it's a necessary evil. I won't be getting it because it's just too expensive and nothing really special. SlyOwl
  16. *y* *sweet* I really like the ladder down the side of the ship and how you've used the useless hole in the prow to run the anchor cable through. I think this is the first ship I've seen with a bed in it! The poop deck is nicely done, although turning the top of the yellow wall into railings would look nice, IMHO... The first picture is slightly misleading, with the RMS Titanic written in the background! :-P This is made up for by the innovative background in the last one. I think if you used a longer lance on the mizzen mast to hold the flag it would look slightly better, like in the BSB and SES. I thought brigs had 3 masts, but that may just be me; if you build a smaller mast on the back, like in the CC, it could look good. Also, I've never seen a ship with a foresail between the two main masts; I think if you put it up behind the mizzen mast, or on a 3rd mast, like in the SES, then it would look more reallistic and balance out the back. A few more scurvy dogs about the place? - Too much command and too few sailors! X-O *y* SlyOwl
  17. You could try using the smooth/slick tyres and having a small black twisted elastic band coming down the back, secured under the bottom tyre for the tassel... :-) Or an upside-down open-handled cup on the head stud... SlyOwl
  18. Hmm...they seemed to have a lot of Lego - surely there's enough to go round? Anyway, sharing Lego never works - there are never enough parts and if you build at a desk e.t.c there's no way it will ever work! Legolly skitzofrenic :-P I thought it was just an American accent. X-D SlyOwl
  19. If I can somehow obtain the hull piece, and show it used in the hull insert, do I get my 2 votes back? I might just have found a way... That is, assuming I get 2 votes - has anyone ever had negative votes in a competition? And on his Birthday too! X-D SlyOwl
  20. Welcome! You take that back right now! X-D SlyOwl
  21. *y* Remote control or programmed? It looks like you only used the RIS 2.0, although the opponent had a *foreign* piece... SlyOwl
  22. Thankee *sweet* now I've got an excuse for losing! X-D Will the points be deducted at the end or can you do it when the poll goes up? That's a nice-a spelling >:-) SlyOwl
  23. Welcome! This matches me too, but the other way around! What Pirate sets do you like? Are you an Imperial, Pirate, Islander or Armada? SlyOwl
  24. Hmm... :'-( If I am disqualified, I would appreciate it that instead of deleting my post, you could move it to the Pirate Forum as a MOC, but I hope it won't come to this :'-( 'Fraid not - I vaporise all my models as soon as they're on Brickshelf, and that hull is one hard build! It kept exploding on me :'-( But I can get them for free on MLCad, so here's the version, with how I would have used the hull piece, if I had it - SlyOwl
  25. Just some ideas... How does Hinckley look as an Imperial? :-P SlyOwl
