Moi? X-D Did I say I find it annoying? Nope. ;-) Anyway, TLC themselves stated that they preferred that their product be known as Lego or Lego toys, but not Legos. Anyhoo, everyone knows that the plural of Lego is Lego :-P
-
It's a sticker. I think that the sticky side is silvered and so when stuck onto a clear panel it looks like a mirror from behind. However, I'm not too sure about this, so here's the set: 4702 Thanks! I like yours too - Evil Eye ON! X-D
-
Oh, good! X-D 8-| :'-( I guess this bignette is rather too appropriate in that case :'-) I shall! Ikimasho! :-D I shan't disappoint! To the Lego mobile! :-P
-
I like! *y* It's quite difficult to see the spitoon though :'-( It says that it's the back of the Mirror of Erised. I don't have this piece, but I think that it has a mirror on one side and a picture of harry on the other... ;-)

Guide to the Pirate Mini-Figures - Part III - The Imperial Guards
SlyOwl replied to TalonCard's topic in LEGO Pirates
Ooh, I've not commented on this yet! :-$ I find these articles hilarious and very funny, if not that educational. *y* However, I'm sure that as the next ones come out there'll be more fun! X-D -
Surely you can spare just an hour or so? You can't really like Lego without ever building anything X-D If that's not enough motivation, then I'll challenge you to a smackdown. One week to build a vignette or you're a codfish if you refuse! :-D
-
Lookee here! X-D It's just a sort of standard size for using in competitions, making it easy to compete without exhausting your brick supply. Like this: Go on, Phes, build a vignette! *sweet*
-
I'd personally make this 8x8, but I like it all the same *y* Hey, isn't that Mr Phes sunbathing? X-D Vignettes are generally 8x8. They also represent one moment in time, whereas this is an ongoing scene as there is no action taking place. ;-)
-
No, no, no - the one Steve's smoking - I'll be using it in Nassau Port :-P
-
Well, there is a link at the bottom of the first post ;-) But here's the best picture and a link -SylOwl :'-)
-
Yeesh! :-D Funny. But was he an AFOL? Or just a common criminal who happened to steal Legos? X-O
-
Hey! *sweet* Pirates, ye say? And a lady at that? X-D Which era do you have? And what sets? *pirate* So will you be keeping the sets and getting your daughter new ones or vice versa? :-D Oh, and you might want to knock the S off Legos - many people are very partick'ler about that ;-)

43c Saber Scorpion has posted this colossal ship on BS. It's made of two Skeleton Attack Ships, with extra parts, such as Skele Pirates! *sweet* Gallery NB. I chose to put this in Pirates because there are distinctly Piratical features, like the morions and muskets. Oh, and it's also a ship X-D
-
Oh aye, but wouldn't the distinct frill along their back indicate that they are alligators? Biology, y'know ;-) Also, in the North-West American style Paradisa, they were used, again indicating that they are alligators. Then again, they were used in the Temple of Anubis, which could indicate that they're Nile Crocodiles. So my verdict is that TLC meant them to be crocodiles, but didn't really fully consider their widespread use. But it doesn't matter really X-D

Well said! It goes onto the head by a stud connection. There's a 3l bar soming out the stud which holds the technic parts on by going through the middle of the connecting pin. The handle of the spanner goes into a brick with 5 studs which has 2 bars with clips coming out of it to hold the wheels on. Any ideas for alternative pieces here - it looks a little strange... 8-|
-
I like this! *y* Yes, I was wondering what piece it was...gotta get me one of 'em! Which set did it come in? :-P And it's been frontpaged on Classic Pirates (eventually X-D )
-
What I meant was that I was under the impression that the EB frontpage was only used for news, not MOCS. It just came out wrong :'-)
-
Ouch! :-X As for football vs soccer: We, the English, invented football. Therefore, we get to name it. I speak on behalf of the Kingdom of Great Britain when I say: "We say football." X-D

Pirate/Colonial Torso: Brown Vest with Ascot
SlyOwl replied to Shadows's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Nice *wub* I take it that this is the torso for the elusive Steve? My SES was missing him :-/ So these are great!...But then I'm not really a decal person X-O -
Well, I've reorganised the Wonder Emporium, added a basketball reference and sent off my Bricklink order, containing a certain Walrus whose head might just appear ;-) ... But I need some more ideas for the emporium... I aim to finish this by, say, the 9th of March, to make things simple ;-) I've never seen a MOC frontpaged, except Benk's...I didn't get that treatment *sing* j/k Pictures may come later this evening, depending on how I get on with my English essay and Japanese Palaeontology speech :-P
-
Oh right - "No Comment" X-D He might speak English though, although the title is French and the description limited; we don't have any Poles here, do we? :-D
-
Nice Benk! *y* I'm not really a fan of stud wheels, but these look great! :-P It's a shame I haven't got the wing pieces and tiles in the same colour |-/
-
Thankee! :-D It is mostly balanced, but I did use a curled-up elastic band on the inside of the hat to give it a little more grip, but I still had to be very careful, as I do with my sigowl! :-) Must not get angry... >:-(
-
Hehe :-D South Africa call it soccer |-/ Ask Whipstick ;-)

I used to be a big fan of K'NEX, before Lego took over its 30% share. Meccano had its moments, but never really took off. 8-
