  1. Welcome! *y* It would seem you like pirates too, judging by your avatar...do I presume correctly? :'-) Greece or Rome? ;-) Bunny mutilation ON! X-D
  2. *y* Do you have Lego Star Wars 2 the video game? If so, you could try taking inspiration from the level in that... ;-)
  3. Does a negative feedback really matter that much to a buyer? If it exceeds 2 weeks within a country then that is a long time, but otherwise it's fine, I think *sweet* . I had an order that took a month and a half to arrive after posting, but that was at the time of all the postal strikes over here |-/ So I guess as long as they ship within 3-4 days it is fine, but the rest just depends on the post... I was under the impression you weren't allowed... ;-)
  4. Hola! *y* Eep! Me'ms forgotting Brazilians speak Portuguese, not Spanish :-$ Estoy hasta la coronilla con las lenguas differentes! X-D *sweet*
  5. *y* But aren't the faces a little odd - how often do you see TLC figs with 3d faces? *wacko* If you could do that then that would be really good *y* What would you use for Marge's hair? X-D
  6. Hey! *y* What themes do you like? Too many of these folk Fanatic ON! X-D
  7. Another method that I've thought of using in the background of MOCs to fill in gaps and give an illusion of dense jungle is using this piece: You slot the "tip" in between the two seperate "tips" and so they join together. Or you could use stud connections... ;-) Also, using Duplo pieces, like this vine, could be useful. A few fallen logs could save using foliage in insignificant places... Try getting the Islander set Enchanted Island. You get vines, bushes, some standard leaves and a ton of palm leaves.
  8. I believe you can buy gear sticks wth smaller ends that easily clip into hands: Is it just me, or is that Indy masquerading as a German? X-D
  9. Aye, but La Gloire (the real ship) was the first ironclad (iron hulled/plated ship) and so linked the age of sail to the Industrial Revolution. I think the age of sail truly ended when muzzle loading cannons were made obsolete, not when steam was introduced. *sweet* Anyhow, me thinks you voted Bonaparte in part 1... ;-) My vote goes to the French...for once! :-P
  10. I voted for...no-one yet! I've still to decide, but I have an inkling I may follow my earlier vote... ;-) Oh thanks! X-D
  11. Happy Birthday! It's unlikely Dukeschunke will hear this, but I'm sure Phred can convey the message! *y*
  12. So did I! X-D Well said, sah! I had rather a lot of trouble with the sail so in the end I just bunged on a BSB one! :-P
  13. You could try trading here, such as asking if anyone has any spares and then negotiating what you can give in return. You could try car boot sales e.t.c...but it'll be random what you find... *sweet*
  14. I actually found using a toothpick with Brasso on the end works really well, using a cotton bud for larger areas. I managed to remove the headsets of Dash and Flex and gave them both a good shave. It's a good way to achieve new expressions without using decals e.t.c...I'll be using these in an upcoming harbour, so get ye telescope out!
  15. Aye, bears and wolves all lived in Scotland and England and Wales before they were all killed between the end of the Roman dynasty and the Middle Ages, so some time during the Dark Ages (Historical, not Lego X-D ). The wild boars were all hunted out during the Middle Ages, but we still have some that have escaped from farms that occasionally attack people, but it's quite rare. The main big predators we have nowadays are big cats that have escaped from zoos and private collections and go round mauling old ladies' cats! :-D Of course, the largest indigenous carnivore we have is the badger. ;-) Biology ON!
  16. Eureka, it works! :-P Yes, because it cleans in a different way to metal polish. Toothpaste cleans by abrasion, but metal polish dissolves or chemcially removes dirt.
  17. I'm thinking of doing some of this, but I would like to know how accurate the removal is? Is it possible to remove very small areas of print accurately? For example, would it be possible to remove just the headset from this face to get a nice grimacing one? Thanks *y*
  18. Blushing? X-D
  19. If only it wasn't a magnet...then I could get an army of them! Go killer rabbits! X-D
  20. With both my SES and BSB, the sellers had not correctly built the spars on the masts - I always get a jumble of odd plates that don't match the instructions |-/ The string is normally messed up too And DUST! Yeesh! Some are ingrained with the stuff; I like my ships, well, shipshape, so they get a thorough bashing with the holy stones first! X-O But, on another note, I always love how you get a large number of underclothed and underarmed and uncomplete pirates just because they couldn't find Cap'n Roger anywhere! Such a great return! X-D I got 10 extra scurvy dogs in exchange for the elusive Steve! :-P
  21. Everyone was young once, just people notice bad posts more than good ones, so it seems like there's a lot more "n00bs" than normal members. It happens everywhere; Brickset, MOCpages, Brickshelf even (grainy, blocky photos with no real value)... But with care and attention, they can be reformed...or banned 8-| Then again, do you see "n00bs" on Lugnet? I thought not. Why? You have to pay. Not good, but effective. My lips are sealed - I ain't sayin' nuttin' . :-/ Who wasn't? X-D You should see that page now! They never did delete it |-/
  22. Happy birthday! *y* I noticed that it is also Doug1712's birthday, but he is banned; it stills shows up...is there a way to stop this? :-$
  23. Eez nice! *y* It looks in places a bit like the Isla De Muerta... Can't wait for the full thing! X-D
  24. Oh, I see now, you're using the modern torsos - I was using the older ones :-$
  25. Hey *sweet* Classic or current castle? *y* Bley or dark grey? 8-
