  1. Oh man, I've seen these markups all over eBay, to where I might as well take my business to Aliexpress. I can understand customs costing that much, but this is low.
  2. True, but I think it might just be personal taste for me I guess. Still, great figure!
  3. A bit more of an interesting composite. I experimented with denting the Sentinel
  4. Now there are some Lego YouTubers I adore, mainly Jangbricks and Just2Good, the latter of which I knew on this site before discovering his channel, but Brick Truth I remember being on fire during the J2G/BQ incident or her video about being given the axe from Cuusoo because of the Jurassic Park set, or being disappointed the BTTF set sold out before she could get her hands on it to review, etc. But Brick Show is a big target for that blog too, IIRC. Thing is Brick Show, while I love their NYTF coverage and their reviews are corny in the fun way, I prefer just getting the straight facts with little filler, something Jang and J2G excel at. The main controversal BrickTuber, as I call them, was Brick Queen for all the reasons mentioned above, where in the other thread, her subscribers are dropping like flies. If there are any others, I'm not aware of them, since having so much controversy over a toy is kind of pathetic.
  5. Part of me is glad that I didn't pick up this game, between the terrible hub sections and disappointing DLC and whatnot, but again, I love how they added more characters than LB2 and had more focus on the League as a whole instead of letting Bats steal the spotlight.
  6. Usually I'm not big on the Iron Man sets, but this wave looks pretty good. SY's really stepped up their game by the looks of it.
  7. I still need to watch more Gravity Falls. I saw a small taste of it and fell in love instantly but I haven't been able to watch more.
  8. Managed to find the Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape for only $40 on Ebay. The only issue is that it's opened and the pieces were put in ziploc bags, but otherwise the set's in perfect condition and compared to the other prices, I think I did alright.
  9. ^ I am loving that Rocket and Groot shot. I know people complain about his size, but in scale with Rocket, he's fine.
  10. See my deal with TTG is that, while some episodes are unwatchable dreck (Waffles is just ungodly terrible), there are a few that are, at least to me, gold, like the Bizarro episode where Robin thinks the Bizarro Titans are a better group than the slack-jawed chibi chimps he has as teammates, or one episode where we have Robin gather a group of Robins. That and some of the easter eggs they throw in are nice, and I vouch to say the comics based on the show are actually funnier (I got one on Free Comic Day last year and suffice to say I was dying). Overall it's "meh" but it has its good episodes and its unwatchable trash. Honestly the thing that strikes the biggest nerve with me is how the creators managed to get the original voice actors, but claim they never saw an episode of the original show. It's like handing me the job of writing for a reboot of Gummi Bears, and I haven't sat through a single episode. One thing I can say is the blame being made on the show replacing Young Justice, which isn't true. Young Justice ended because the folks at Cartoon Network didn't like the demographics that the show got in the ratings (A higher female audience to male), and since they have the outdated notion that girls don't buy action figures, they gave it the axe too soon. Avengers Assemble is somewhat better, but the thing I kind of see as a pet peeve is how they seem to spam the widescreen effect when it's not needed. Action scenes are okay, but scenes of just Iron Man flying don't need an aspect ratio change. But in all fairness, like you said, it's not as terrible as the internet claims.
  11. Point taken, I'm just not a huge fan I suppose. Though Teen Titans Go isn't as godawful, to me, as the internet seems to think. Is it as good as the 2003 show? No way, not in a million years, and some episodes do blow, but it's a decent watch.
  12. Same, that was an awesome show, but Avengers Assemble isn't the greatest. Then again, Earth's Mightiest Heroes was a tough act to follow anyway.
  13. Same. I kind of feel a little dirty bringing up the Slave Leia thing. It was a bit uncalled for to open that can of worms. I think the best thing for me to do is not talk about this anymore, for fear I might dig myself a deeper grave than I may have done already. Doesn't mean my opinion's changed, but I want to maybe hold back the cavalry so to speak. Sorry if I offended anyone, you don't have to worry anymore. Not to mini-mod, but I think it'd be best if this thread was closed.
  14. Oh I'm not mad, most Phoenix bootlegs I see are pretty much perfect, it's just Deadpool had a bit of a deformity, and luckily his head is cheap enough to justify getting a genuine replacement. I did sand his torso corners though.
  15. Got my first bootleg in today: Deadpool. Overall, I'm happy with him except his head print, which is offset enough to where I buckled down and bought a genuine head to correct the problem (Still cheaper than buying the whole genuine figure). It's Decool because of the sharp torso (I can sand it down) and a bit of missing print on the leg holster, but other than those, I like him. Here's a pic to showcase the head problem I mentioned: I'm hoping Phoenix doesn't have the same issue, because I know I can't get a head to replace her's.
  16. Went ahead and snagged the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 while the prices were still good. I have a feeling that's going to skyrocket once they stop production like what's happening with the DeLorean.
  17. Yeah she was the one who decided to do what she did, and I thought even though it fit the theme, it wasn't needed. I apologize if I stepped over the boundaries here but I didn't think I said anything totally out of line. If I did, I'm sorry.
  18. Excellent figure! My only nitpick is that Stan's lenses might be a little dark for my taste, but otherwise, perfect.
  19. It's been everywhere, man, it's been everywhere. Ah well, I'm a patient man, so as long as it gets here, I'm happy. Part of the fun is seeing people post about their hauls, and I'm still grateful for CopMike for doing this. Definitely doing this again this year.
  20. I have returned with another funny! I don't know if this joke's been done, but hey, I'll throw it out there.
  21. IIRC, the tiles in these sets are always printed, if the Batman set is any proof. I was going to use the Spider Man glider in different colors as my Goblin Glider, though it might be a little big.
  22. Stickers? Then yeah, I'm not sold. I'm better off getting the lab for a few dollars more.
  23. I remember she did one Star Wars review dressed as Slave Leia. I get the theme, but Slave Leia is kind of a steamy costume, if you get me.
  24. Yes, we need a good Spider Woman. Kind of odd that they haven't, to my knowledge, made a Spider Woman, since they did many other SDCC exclusives. But yeah, looking back, the Jarvis set is a little pricey for what you get, though it might be the graphics that make the price?
  25. I'm loving that Toad. Not what I'm used to but hey, nice parts usage with that troll head.
