  1. It's Gandalf from the Gandalf Arrives set. I figured it'd be better than the standard Lex Luthor/Loki/Bruce Wayne head some other Prof. Xs out there have.
  2. I'm probably going to swallow my pride and get the set once I see a sale or use a coupon code to help lessen the blow. The model to me isn't terrible but a tough pill to swallow given the price.
  3. I feel I should too, since I have J2G and Jangbricks as my top 2 Lego reviewers and J2G always seems to have the first pieces of news outside of Brick Show.
  4. I never watched much Transformers outside of the 80s movie and some other bits and parts of G1 (And the first Bay film, but we don't talk about those) but I'm hoping this doesn't end up like Avengers Assemble vs. Earth's Mightiest Heroes where one is a kiddier version of the other (Assemble is kiddier than EMH) and suffers for it. I have faith it'll be good, since Prime, from what little I saw, was great.
  5. Thanks for weighing in on this situation J2G. I forgot about the Lego Cuusoo/Ideas fiasco about her Jurassic Park idea being canned. Add that to the ongoing list I suppose. With this much controversy, it's a wonder why she's still afloat. Lord knows if Brick Show or any other big Lego YouTuber had this many incidents, they'd sink faster than a piece of lead.
  6. Obviously the Fantastic Four are a must, since they had designs made in the Lego Marvel game and we already have Dr. Doom. Punisher would be awesome too, but he might be a little violent. Then again, we did get Deadpool and soon Carnage. Speaking of which, definitely more X-Men like Beast, Professor X, Jean Grey, Ice Man, etc. And I'm surprised we haven't gotten Agent Coulson yet, despite being a popular character in the MCU and being a simple figure to make compared to other characters Lego made. The rest of the Sinister Six for Spider Man would be neat, at least Mysterio needs some love. As for DC, you could fill a book with characters not yet made for Batman and Superman, let alone Wonder Woman and Green Lantern. To name some specifics, a new Alfred is a must for Batman, and the Beyond Gotham game gives us a ton of great characters, even if they end up being SDCC exclusives. Guys like Gray Ghost, Condiment King, Clock King, big fig Killer Croc, Bat Mite,, Apocalypse and a variant on Bizarro would be nice (Without the sign around his neck like the SDCC version) and maybe Toy Man or a comic/80s variant of Zod and Mr. Mxyzptlk for Superman, a few more Green Lantern Corps members or other lanterns like Atrocitous and Dex-Starr, and Wonder Woman doesn't even have any villains to call her own, so at least Cheetah or Giganta so she has at least one villain to fight (Even Aquaman got Black Manta) I could go on all night.
  7. From what I remember in regards to Just2Good, he rubbed her the wrong way by correcting her about a rule about adults without kids in Legoland in the comments of her video on the subject. I think the stolen design part comes from a controversy surrounding a custom Goku minifig she did using a stolen design, or rather, she passed it off as her own. I don't remember if J2G called her out on this too or who called her out but I remember the original person who made the decal came here and talked about it in the minifig customization board. Either way, she blocked J2G probably because of the Legoland thing. I personally have no qualms with BQ, but again, her main draw is being a female AFOL, and with her being a court worker/working in law, and being married, she should have a bit more maturity in her online presence, and she above anyone else shouldn't condone false flagging.
  8. While we're in an X-Men mood, here's my newest figure, good ol' Professor X I know there are different designs for his hover chair, but I wanted to do one on my own. I almost copied the Lego Marvel game design, but again, I wanted to try and be original.
  9. New composite with my newly acquired Storm. Great minifig from a great set.
  10. Jang is up there with Just2Good and Brick Show with me. The guy's calm, his presentation is thorough and he demonstrates many features of a set, and his voice is soothing along with his choices in background music. Plus his classic space reviews are a great blast from the past. When the other brick reviewers are over the top and kind of corny, Jang's the place to go if you want a more sedate reviewer.
  11. Ooh, a Gary Larson tribute! Nicely done!
  12. Anyone else reminded of that one fandom game Story of the Blanks? The kind of retro Game Boy styled game where Apple Bloom finds a town of ponies who have no cutie mark? Take that, but add in some Stepford Wives and you have what I got from this trailer. The Stepford Ponies.
  13. And there was one video or tweet (I don't remember exactly) when the Back to the Future Cuusoo set was released and sold out quickly, as you'd expect, where she was passive-aggressively complaining about not getting a copy to review it. And yeah I remember the J2G incident, which sucks because J2G is one of my favorite reviewers and a nice guy to boot. Brick Queen is good, and she's nice in my encounters with her, but it seems her gimmick is that she's a female AFOL. It's like the Diamond Head Game was a short lived game show that was filmed in Hawaii, that seems to be her only angle, but I digress. IDK if there's any proof of a false flag, but if there is, I'd like to see it before I continue, as I'm not one for casting stones when it's not needed.
  14. I don't know, the price seems somewhat reasonable. It is a little steep all things considered. I'd say maybe it'd be better if there was a better figure or if they included Pepper, but it's fine as is. That motorcycle looks impressive but it wouldn't fit a minifig. I'll probably skip that one, though if they had the Helicarrier Fury I'd change my tune.
  15. Ooh, that Jarvis looks pretty nice. Might actually have to give that one a try. The other Iron Man set looks alright I suppose, but I'm sold on Jarvis. On that note, I decided to bite the bullet and buy myself Phoenix. I think it's a Decool because of the sharp torso corners, but I can sand those down. She looks good, but I feel an in-hand appraisal is what matters here. Can anyone tell me if she's a quality make?
  16. I have a Venom already and I thought about doing that, but I might get a spare, remove the mouth, and use the body for a Symbiote Spiderman with the custom head someone posted here a while back. It wouldn't be purist, but I like the idea all the same until we potentially get one. I'll do an update once I get the proper parts, but I like Black Panther as he is for now as strictly purist, but Coulson needs his changes ASAP. Thanks for the pics though, they're good enough for me to see. :D
  17. Well, the Juniors Batcave was pretty nice, even with its bigger pieces, and there might be some useful things in there aside from Goblin. Another Spidey doesn't hurt and might be good for customization and you can always sell the rest of the set.
  18. Still waiting for mine to come in, but knowing they're on their way it can't be much longer. Then again, I'm in the US like Oky so I wouldn't be surprised if customs wanted to do everything short of a full cavity search before it reaches my home. But yeah, I have to ask, anyone get the super special secret minifig yet?
  19. That's exactly what I had in mind for Coulson in terms of head/hairpiece. That BFG looks stunning too, though mine (Not pictured) is more based on the Lego Marvel Superheroes version. But what would some of you suggest for Black Panther's head? I want to use the new Batman cowl but I mean underneath the cowl. Would a foot soldier head work?
  20. It shouldn't be more than the set itself, even when it's retired. Around the ballpark of $10-15 sounds plausible, maybe more if he has his glider.
  21. I'm not original. For instance I recently made a Black Panther that was inspired by someone in this thread, but my Coulson is somewhat original. Just the comb over hairpiece, Max Burns Ultra Agents torso and legs, and Bilbo's head until I can get a better face. Here's a few pics: Black Panther Agent Coulson I know Black Panther needs a bit of work, like I might replace the Catwoman mask with the new Batman cowl and he needs some claws and another cape, but I'm happy with him. Coulson needs another face and the same hairpiece in dark brown
  22. I'm on the fence about ordering the Hydra Fortress this early. My main motivations are the exclusivity, a load of great minifigs (Even the weakest has some use) and I actually don't mind the builds. The price is the only thing keeping me away, but TRU has that $5 off any set over $25 deal. so that'd make it somewhat more reasonable.I'd even say you could expand the fortress itself if you buy another set sans minifigs (Which'll be an easy task for certain) and have another tank to boot. Hulkbuster and Quinjet are great too, but you can get them anywhere, but of those two, Hulkbuster takes precedence because that'll likely be the more popular model since it's cheaper and you see it in the trailer. As for the tower mod, that's kind of what I had in mind personally, if not exactly what I pictured.
  23. I never heard of BrickSpy before but I remember there was a bit of friction between her and Just2Good a couple of years ago so this isn't an isolated incident. Still, filing a false DMCA or anything is never right in my book, regardless of implication (Unless you do feel like your work's been stolen, which isn't the case here). I love Brick Queen's videos and I like the fact she's a member here too, but there's better ways to handle a situation like this without resorting to false copyright claims.
  24. Lego Movie Double Decker Couch (Saw it at Walmart, instabuy) Age of Ultron Hydra Showdown (Good price on Amazon, plus I needed a Thor) X-Men vs. The Sentinel (It's getting close to being like the Wolverine Chopper set where production is dying down and prices are going up, so I snagged it at 20% off on eBay)
  25. I can think of a mod I'll be doing to the Avengers jeep in the Hydra Showdown set, and maybe some mods for the Fortress, and I did mention waiting for the Avengers Tower to go down in price so I can bulk it up and make it a little taller.
