  1. Love the logo set. I don't think I am going to acquire it, but it still looks awesome - even without the minifigures. The Kenobi sets' box art featured an accurate ANH Vader minifigure, complete with red lens and cloth over his shoulder armour. Didn't happen, to my great disappointment (Tantive IV set had a wasted potential for including this minifigure)
  2. Thanks, @MKJoshA! My issue with Rax is that he emerges specifically after the fall of Coruscant. Since using another character (like Jordan Arendale) would be a little tough for me, I thought that maybe I could join the game later. I might avoid bringing Grievous back, but the temptation is strong... I did bring back Cody after all (though he wasn't dead)... I already used (or mentioned) all the major EU characters I could possibly use in my previous builds. I wish Thrawn was still alive. I could use his help during the Vong war...
  3. Am I able to violate the existing Canon by proclaiming that Grievous is still alive and held in jail?.. As a matter of fact, how far can we get in twisting the SW lore? I used a canonical character's name and applied it to an entirely different person while participating in Mysteries. Would it work now? Also, will I be able to join the game after the fall of Coruscant? Or I must enlist from the very beginning, if I want to participate?
  4. I enjoyed Rex the most, looks awesome!
  5. Why are you trying to summon Turtle? Is the Aslume spreading?
  6. Because Disney doesn't like that word, "it's offensive to [you know whom]". How are they going to cope with the fact that Anakin used to be a slave on Tatooine in TPM?
  7. Base seems to look better than the 2015 version...
  8. I don't. I would have preferred sets to be a little bit larger, with more detail and, if it's possible, more faithful to the source material. But of course, it's impossible, since LSW sets are for kids who don't care about accuracy...
  9. One of the reasons I dislike RO is how incompetent the Empire was there. Sure, the main cast all died at the end, but they kicked Imps' butts at ease all the way before that. Heck, the Empire doesn't have any valid anti-air defences! You can simply land on a top-secret Imperial facility and no one bats an eye! Worse than ROTJ's Scout troopers, from my point of view
  10. Does it still exist? - definitely. Fewer and fewer people care about new installments of the franchise over the years? - quite so. Maybe not utterly dead yet, but it's dying for a long time already... ANYTHING with Filoni involved was trash, IMAO
  11. They were not supposed to be good things; and, surprise surprise, they aren't (I know it is a matter of taste, but after watching the OT a bazillion times I cringe at everything, for I started seeing how flawed every single SW EU piece is; I firmly believe that NOT A SINGLE IMAGINARY UNIVERSE (SW included) LORE SHOULD HAVE ARROGANT CONTRADICTIONS). It honestly surprises me how many fans love Rogue one; this movie is basically everything wrong with Disney Star Wars: stupid plot, violent lore breaking and lots of fake nostalgia. You cannot just copypaste elements from ANH without understanding how they work to achieve a good result. Totally agree, especially with the last part
  12. Because they profit large sums of money without the necessity of producing quality content. They just don't have to. There are mady ways to make money nowadays aside of creating something that will entertain the public
  13. This is not going to work. I think it is naive to believe that those people are going to do anything better than those Disney guys. Original creators of a successful franchise are eager to massacre their own boy (George Lucas and his Prequels; SW aside, we have the DCAU as a sad example of Dini (Batman: the adventures continue) and Timm (the latest being B:CC) doing exactly the same things as Kathleen Kennedy with SW). Quality content is completely impossible nowadays
  14. Rey absolutely was part of why those movies were bad. We live in an epoch when franchise-owning corporations deliberately put maximum effort into destroying said franchises with stupid plots and total lack of respect towards the originals, while desperately trying to attract the audience with fake nostalgia. Rogue One and Andor's sudden successes were purely accidental and definitely weren't planned. If DS happens - Yularen, and especially Tarkin, and probably Krennic, are going to show up. If UT-AT happens - Bacara will totally get a new helmet mold (if he is included). I am not sure if UT-AT is going to happen or not, and whether Bacara is included or not. I only know TLG is never going to realise small, affordable sets with DS characters I need after this 1000$ disaster. RIP my ANH brickfilm... Guess it's never going to happen.
  15. Looks very beautiful! Absolutely love the curvature. I could only wish such an official set existed. Good job!
  16. A very beautiful build! Love how gorgeously you designed the trees and the waterplants - simple, yet effective.
  17. Just like with my Patrol trooper, I upgraded my Scout trooper minifigure with sticker arm decor: Works better than the dual-molded arms, I think...
  18. I expressed the desire to create my own version of the iconic B:TAS Batmobile in my review of the official 76274 set - and here it is! Not the best solution out there, but definitely more accurate than the original set (many of which's parts and decisions were incorporated into my MOC). Sadly, it lacks any functions and gadgets, seen in the cartoon - the deficit of dark blue parts at my disposal took its toll... Honestly, I am not quite satisfied with the rear's look - but it's the best I could do: Another disappointment is the cockpit - I originally wanted it to include two seats, but I soon realised that it's not possible without damaging external accuracy. On the bright side of things, it fits a Batman minifigure with type 3 cowl (the one with the short ears, first introduced in the Lego Batman 3 videogame) and has a steering wheel, mounted on an angle - an improved version of the one from the set. Of course, the front wheels of this model can be steered - just like on any other of my car MOCs: Forgive me for the lack of a B:TAS Batman minifigure - I don't have the resources to custom-create it (yet; I am totally unsatisfied with the official one). I hope you liked it!
  19. I am here to express solidarity with your opinion on possibly upcoming Stormtrooper Battle packs. When building my Stormtrooper army, I go for accuracy, not availability (2012 torsos are hard to find, while 2014 troopers are quite expensive nowadays). Although the post you linked to is clearly jonkling (though it didn't stop fans from recreating most of those absurd TIE's in 3D), I agree with the point about the silliness of the old EU (which still doesn't make the new Canon better in any way). I don't understand when insane, crazy stuff is treated completely seriously by the writers. As for me, I'd say that even if the new Death Star includes all the Imperial minifigures I've been dreaming about (armorless Stormtroopers, officers, etc), it would still be problematic for me to acquire them because of the set's price. I can only hope they are going to show up in a more affordable set someday. I am not sure if TLG is ever going to realise a Yavin 4 Rebel Battle pack, based on ANH, not R1. A must-have for me...
  20. Thanks for the appreciation! Sadly (or thankfully - part 3 was a disgrace, yet Epilogue would've been very fun) - Centerpoint station mystery is left unfinished...
  21. Limiting factions' control from grids to individual planets is a good idea I have a few questions 1) How were the planets under each faction's control determined? For example, why does the DS control Coruscant? I'd personally prefer it to be under LS control. Please forgive me my arrogance 2) In which period will Mysteries 2.0 will be set? The same 5-6 ABY, as before? 3) Where we shall be allowed to build? I would personally suggest to allow the DS to build in the Unknown Regions a little bit - we have Mugg Fallow to deal with! Please forgive me, if my questions and suggestions are stupid
  22. This is absolutely awesome! Looks so smooth and clean, and is instantly recognisable. Your first attempt looks very nice too, yet this one is a great improvement! Love the smart usage of relatively new parts
  23. I recently made some improvements of my model (as always): - Solved the excessive dihedral problem; - Corrected the fuselage and rudder shapes (I think so); - Applied new, better stickers; - Added the missing 'Nelly' inscription behind the cockpit (not an outstanding result, but I can't do better now) Here are pictures of the improved version:
