LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

Let's just hope for the best. Dooku is too significant for TLG to completely ignore him forever. Besides, there is a chance that Saruman may show up in some LOtR set soon -

To be honest, this isn't the first time exclusive minifigures show up in Star Wars AC - for example, we had Antoc Merric and U-3PO (a fine addition to my collection!), etc I am very glad Babu Frik showed up at least in an official set, despite all my hatred towards the Sequels. Honestly, it's weird how many famous characters are yet to be realised as official minifigures. Also, some characters definitely should return, especially Count Dooku -

TIE Defender sounds like a great idea, and, though I dislike its canonical look in Rebels (the Elite was even uglier), I still think it would be a nice set (with the beforementioned minifigures, of course). I hope someday the quality of Lego sets will be so high that I wouldn't need to create MOCs. But, sadly, it will never happen... -

Sentinel-class landing craft from Rebels is my personal favourite. I'd love to see a more or less accurate set based on Rebels specifically, of course with Thrawn, perhaps Vult Skerris and Pryce, and S3 versions of Ezra and Sabine. Not because I am a fan of Rebels, but because I love this shuttle ship and I like Thrawn -
Still not very accurate. Whether the new cowl is better than type 2 or not is more of a personal choice. The old cowl with custom-chopped ears would've been perfect, but I don't think chopping is a good idea First of all, I understand your point about the Forever Batmobile being ugly (it rather is), but I could argue that it does have its charm and looks very much Batman, besides, there have been worse Batmobiles - just check out this abomination. Second, you forgot about the #realisetheschumachercut fanatics - I do think there are Lego fans among them. So, yes, some people (not me) will definitely acquire this weird set By the way, is it a fact that Arkham is going to be comic-based?

Battle Droids' backpacks are back!.. Yes, I know that the B1 from the AC has got one, but I didn't realise that TLG is going to stick to them! That's definitely a good thing I wonder if the B1 on STAP is at the same scale as the Droideka... -

I have a question. I would like to finish my Thrawn vs Mnggal-Mnggal story, which is set in the Unknown Regions. Am I allowed to build there (even if I don't score any points)? My planned build also fits one of the May the 4th contest categories. I'd certainly like to apply it both to Mysteries and the contest (judging by the contest rules, it is possible). What forum should I post it then? Mysteries or Watto's junkyard? -

Advent calendar looks amazing. I especially like the Santa Villager. I still feel that the Creeper can be improved by using a lighter tint of green and removing the heavy lines around its eyes and mouth -

Egg crusher looks awesome. Much better than the Death Egg mech from the first wave. The quality of the sets is increasing, which deserves a praise -
The Batmobile looks awesome but, as everyone pointed out, it's at a weird scale - smaller that other UCS Batmobiles, larger than minifigure-scaled ones. This Batman minifigure looks awesome as long as you don't compare it to the actual suit from the movie. The cowl isn't accurate (a shame TLG decided to stick with it), the head is reused, which isn't that good. You said it. Yet there are still many people out there who only collect for the sake of collecting, so the situation isn't that bad for TLG

Great job, @erik1! I am glad you didn't give up ultimately. I sincerely hope that you are going to succeed with your AT-AT.

You forgot about "Russian bots" Blaming "racists, sexists and other bigots" for the movie's failure is exactly what the creators of that piece of crap did. Those arrogant cowards thought they could violate the much beloved franchise however they wanted to, humiliate the beloved characters (especially Luke - just ask Mark Hamill), censor any criticism of that garbage, buy critics who proclaimed that gross parody "the best SW movie ever" - and fans will gleefully eat the $hit and even be grateful. Sadly, sometimes they were true. Sadly, Disney profited lots of bucks from their lore-violating, logic-lacking garbage thanks for the "true fans", who are ready to pay for anything SW, no matter how $hitty it is. This is why more and more people start actually believing that SW were stupid and $hitty from the very beginning. And it makes me sad, because the OT were great movies, much better than the universally-beloved meme factories the Prequels are, and lightyears ahead of the pseudo-nostalgic creativity-lacking copypasta the Sequels are. You just need to look at them from a different perspective - something "true SW fans" will never do. -

Personalities, who create Star Wars, do not matter. What matters is whether the next installment in the franchise directly contradicts the previous or not. That's why there is no single, uncontradictory Canon in the so-called "Star Wars universe", be it Legends or Disney. The Prequels may have been created by Lucas, but it doesn't stop them from directly contradicting the Originals multiple times. I only consider the OT (their initial, pre-"special editions" versions, with a few minor changes made to ANH I already mentioned on this forum) as undoubtedly canon. Absolutely anything else SW directly contradicts the OT and, therefore, is not canon. Neither Kathleen Kennedy or even Lucas himself have the right to determine what is canon or not. I strongly oppose to the idea of blindly following someone else's decisions and not making your own conclusions. I am sorry for continuing this discussion, not authorised by our mod, but I had to say this because I believe it is important. Dixi -

Looks very nice! Much better than the official set, anyway

That would be nice. Likewise, reviving the Archie characters as Lego minifigures would've been absolutely bombastic -

Who said that they wanted to kill Leia? The troopers sure were shooting to kill, but not at Leia precisely! If they were planning to let them escape from the very beginning, why were the troopers shooting at them with deadly blasters and why did the TIE pilots attack the Falcon? Tarkin explicitly says: "I'm taking an awful risk, Vader. This had better work". This means that he didn't approve of Vader's plan from the very beginning and only accepted it because the Rebels escaped Why am I explaining this? And besides, if the troopers were instructed not to shoot to kill, why didn't they set their blasters to stun? And how do you explain this line: -

Thanks for the reminder! I still don't think this assumption was fully correct. They DID try to thwart their escape, but gave up very soon - this is how I view the situation. Tracking the Falcon was an emergency plan, to which they ultimately resorted -
Such a majestic castle! Looks absolutely gorgeous. Something you cannot do at minifigure scale, obviously... Great job!

Creeper looks awesome. I hope they are going to realise a better Creeper minifigure someday - the one we've got doesn't look really accurate to me -

When were we explicitly told that? Yes, Vader's idea (disapproved by Tarkin) was to track the Rebels back to their fortress, but he never ordered the troops to let them walk alive on-screen. The troopers obviously shoot to kill while pursuing the gang in the corridors - and miss, but it's hard to blame them in context. I won't even comment on Ben Kenobi's stormtrooper line. It's a clear indication that something is wrong Judging by their portrayal in the OT, the stormtroopers aren't the elite by any means - they are ordinary soldiers who have little chances to hit a small number of fast-moving targets
