Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion

I couldn't say better. The set looks like a cruel prank from TLG... On the bright side, the Shadow set looks pretty good... -
Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion

Me too. Because it's just the worst set of the whole line. The idea of a Knuckles mech is just plain weird. It's worth buying only for minifigures and the Emerald. -
So nice! I love it. If expanded, it could become a nice little fortress...

[MOC] - Rebel Incom T-65 X-wing starfighter (1/32 scale)
Max_Lego replied to Max_Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you, @m4st3rt3ch and @Yperio_Bricks! But, sadly, the cockpit interior isn't accurate enough (especially the instrument panel)... -
Edit - replaced low quality photos and ugly background with appropriate ones. This is, probably, my best Star Wars MOC - the legendary X-wing in 1/32 scale! Initially I wanted just a MOD of the 75218, but after acquiring it I realised that only a hardcore MOC would satisfy me. So here it is: Cockpit interior views: Bottom view with extracted landing gear: Bottom view with retracted landing gear: And, finally, a view with s-foils locked in attack position. Special thanks to @Jerac for the mechanism idea and overall inspiration! I hope you liked my MOC, despite the low quality of the photos...

Awesome. Love the Classic Space aesthetic and beautiful design

Wish they would reboot the SW Buildable Figures
Max_Lego replied to KennoMonkey's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sorry. But... I just had this crazy idea of recreating characters' unique faces out of bricks for buildable figures. It won't look as good as the original, but still... It may change everything. I hope it helps anyone -

Thank you, @Justsomebrix and @Yperio_Bricks! I was refering to the 75365 Yavin Base set. It has lots of dark-tan slopes, which would be useful for the ship's hull. -

I am currently planning to build an HMS Kingfisher-like Redcoat 14-gun sloop of war using parts from 75365. I still haven't acquired the set, but the Redcoat crew is ready. From left to right (ordinary Redcoats not mentioned): Drummer soldier, the Judge, the Admiral, the Captain, his Lieutenant, the Lady, the Doctor, the Cook and the floor-polisher boy . There are also sailors and 14 brick-built guns not shown on the photo. -
This catamaran is just awesome. I love the details, the colours, even the minifigures! You did an great job!

This is a very nice figure. You did an amazing job! Sadly, Star Wars has way too many different characters, so they can't be all recreated as buildable figures... -
Thank you for your comment! I based the interior details on how they look like on Darth Vader's TIE Advanced X1 cross-section: The original interior set used for the film had little to no instrument panels inside: So I took the best moments from both and incorporated them in my build.

Thanks!

I initially didn't understand, what the brick-like pontoons were supposed to be... And then it struck me! That's brilliant. It looks nice and feels very Star Wars. By the way, this MOC inspired me to add a transparent hexagonal viewport in the rear of my TIE interceptor. So I should thank you!

This is my most recent MOC! Although it's not my best, it has got an interesting backstory. I initially wanted to build an ordinary TIE fighter, but didn't have any 3x3 round corner parts for the cockpit ball. I studied different solutions on the Internet and finally came up with my own, built out of slope sections. Sadly, I didn't have enough parts to build the fighter, so I went for the TIE Advanced X1 instead. It looked OK, but was HORRIBLY fragile. I took it apart, but the cockpit ball remained. The idea of creating a TIE interceptor was quite weird, but I decided to try, because it was the only TIE starship I could possibly build with the parts I had at the moment. It started with solar panels out of tiles, then I replaced the ugly rear with a sticker hexagon with a better version with brick-built transparent hexagonal window. Yes, I am aware, that the positions of the interior and exterior hexagons don't match on the original, but the old Star Wars films are full of such inconsistencies. Finally, after buying some parts on Bricklink, I replaced the old tile solar panels with ones out built of bricks. They are way too short, however, now they are studless and smooth. Anyway, here is the finished model. The small transparent parts below allow the build to stand: Although the overall shape is incorrect, I tried to make the small details as accurate as possible. Here are two interior views of the cockpit ball. Its unique design allows lots of space inside. The interior includes controls, side instrument panels and a comfortable pilot's seat: I hope you liked my MOC.

The first spaceship MOC I started to build. It is based on the Gold leader model, with the pipeline colours of the Gold 2 model. Yellow markings are sadly absent because of studs. Here are two views of the cockpit interior - completed with instrument panels and the proton torpedo gunsight: A view with the build standing on its landing gear. The rear rings are too heavy and need transparent parts for support. Sadly, I didn't come up with a lighter and more accurate solution: Although it's not one of my best MOC's, but I hope you like it.

Thank you for your comment. I always try to make my models as accurate as possible. I don't always succeed, though...

Edit: added top left view with open crew hatch. My second serious Star Wars MOC was the AT-ST walker. It has been my favourite Star Wars land vehicle for a long time, and I made at least one attempt of re-creating it from Lego pieces (it had a leg-turning mechanism, by the way), submitting it on lego.com and earning 15 likes. After building the TX-225, I decided to make a second attempt, so here is the result: While my first attempt was based on the bad drawings from the vehicles book, this build was created with the ESB version in mind. The MOC is quite fragile, but looks nice for me. Here are two interior views of the model. I tried to make it as faithful to the cross-section as possible: I hope you liked it.

Hello, everyone! I would like to present you my first serious Star Wars MOC - a model of the Imperial tank from Rogue One. I loved this vehicle since I saw the leaked images of the official LEGO 75152 set. Learning that the actual tank is a tracked vehicle amazed me even more. Eventually, I hated the movie, but the tank remains one of my favourite Star Wars vehicles. I initially wanted to purchase the 75152 set, but after building my CP-H speeder I decided to build my own, more accurate version of it. Instead of building the hovering version, I decided to do it the hard way - not only my MOC must have had tracks, but also a working suspension! The model currently looks like this: Before its redesign, it was considerably longer and taller, and also had an orange crate in the back. I shortened and lowered the model, so now it's more accurate, but the crate is now too long to be placed on the flatbed. Nevertheless, I am quite satisfied with the finished build. Maybe I will design a shorter crate one day... Rear view: Crew cabin view: Same view, but without the driver and commander. The interior details (including the white mug) were taken from the tank's official cross-section: Here is a view of the "working" suspension. I based it not on the real-life Alvis Stormer (the basis for the movie vehicle) suspension, but rather on how it looked like on the cross-section. It should have worked with small rubber bands, but the model is way too heavy, so it doesn't work. I still decided to leave it there, because it adds realism to the build: Hope you liked my MOC! May the Force be with you!

Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion

Hello! I understand that it is very unlikely, but, if next year's two sets won't be the last, I hope further sets will include minifigures of human characters, such as Maria (whose name was teased in Lego Eggman's video), G. U. N. soldiers and the Commander. But, as I said, it's very unlikely. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Max_Lego replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hello! Personally, I'd love to see an official LEGO Death Star conference room set, including Imperial officers' minifigure with early type rank insignia plaques and a correct ANH Darth Vader minifigure. Darth's Rebels figure is nice, but not quite accurate even compared with the TV show version. I hope a correct minifig would show up in next year's Tantive IV boarding set.
