  1. ... Because it's obviously very unlikely
  2. Just realised that my Zatanna minifigure should have looked like in Batman Beyond, not Justice League. Reworked:
  3. I think it would've been better to MOC it. TLG cannot do justice to such a complex and visually fragile combat mech. Besides, it's GIGANTIC. Imagine how much such a set would cost. Sonic sets are already among the most expensive
  4. Sorry for being late. I also would like to praise the story. I am pretty sure nothing can beat such a simple, yet touching story. It's like something from a good Christmas children's book, and I admire it. It makes me even more confident in the idea that good Star Wars stories can be told without any armed conflicts being mentioned. And that's great
  5. Looks great! The holiday atmosphere is well-depicted. I especially liked the large droid design
  6. Awesome! Your build fits both the contest requirements and the Dreamzzz theme perfectly. It also looks nice. Good job!
  7. The firebird looks nice indeed! You did a good job designing it
  8. Honestly, I became a Thrawn fan after reading the new Canon books. I still like the way he dealt with the Rebel island (it was a brilliant idea!) Had I read The Thrawn trilogy first, I would've hated him Totally agreed. That's why I hate Rebels Thrawn - he's arguably even more evil than in Legends books. The only time I remember Legends Thrawn to order genocide was the Dark Force rising RPG sourcebook. I somehow believe that senseless cruelty is absolutely out of character for Thrawn. Then again, Canon Thrawn didn't care about the non-Chiss hostages of the Grysks in "Treason"... Which was weird to me even back then ...But yeah, he was a supporter of the idea of an oppressive and corrupt government bringing 'order' to the Galaxy, so I agree with your point (not with Zahn's perception, though)
  9. Are you talking about Legends or new Canon books? If Canon, you are correct (though I must admit that I hate the idea of Thrawn being a Chiss nationalist, preferring him to be an die-hard Imperial); in Legends though he was plain irredeemably evil, a disgusting cliché 'evil Imperial officer', who 'compensated' his horrible incompetence with 'smart' talking. I absolutely agree with you. Not only Ahsoka Thrawn didn't do anything outstanding, but he also had a beer belly I personally prefer to imagine him being as thin as possible. On the Republic fighters debate, here are my thoughts: in my headcanon, they are meant to be predecessors of the Rebellion's fighers, rejected because of the TIE fighter's magnificent performance and multiple narrow-profile modifications; the Z-95 (Legends version; I detest the TCW version for looking nothing like the X-wing's predecessor) for the T-65 and T-65B; the BTL-B for the BTL-A4, and the V-19 Torrent for the B-wing. The Alliance's best fighter, the RZ-1 A-wing, has no predecessor (the R-22 Spearhead has no real visual differences), and the ARC-170 simply doesn't exist; I hate its heavy cannons under the wings and meaningless S-foils (the X-wing's an B-wing's ones, at least, had a purpose). The TIE outperformed them all due to the light construction (rejecting life support was a good idea, since space suits are much more reliable; shields are useless in combat because you cannot shoot through them, so they must be turned off; hyperdrives aren't necessary because the TIE's are carried in battle by cruisers or Star Destroyers) and better engine and became the Empire's main starfighter; others were given to the Rebels But it's just my headcanon To be fair, the ARC-170 DID appear in some TCW episodes
  10. Here are two minifigures that I absolutely didn't need, but made for idle fun: Princess Leia Organa, inspired by a picture, drawn by Bruce Timm, and an inaccurate Juno Eclipse with a correct Lieutenant insignia plaque (I am aware that she's canonically a Captain, yet the black uniform indicates that her rank is much lower). Those two minifigures are made using the same technique as my numerous DCAU minifigures - small cut stickers and paper. Torso printings were erased with an eraser I sadly didn't have mid-length legs for Leia - they would've worked better for her, IMO
  11. Maybe because of Marvel's Venom 3, which suddenly became very successful in theaters? Sure Venom isn't much of a shapeshifter, but still... It also raises the following question: what Clayface we are talking about? Preston Payne, perhaps?
  12. I agree. It may be oversimplified, but easier to understand
  13. @Sentinel_Brix, remember the Naboo incident? You said that we are free to do anything we want with the continuity. If you prefer Kashyyk to be under Imperial control, I don't think anyone shall be against it. In fact, I wanted Rax to visit Kashyyk at some point, and celebrating Life Day is a nice reason to do so... Please correct me if I am wrong, @MKJoshA
  14. Here are pictures of my full current TNBA and S:TAS collections. It's been a busy year... TNBA heroes: TNBA villains (Ra's al Ghul and Ubu should've been in the S:TAS picture): S:TAS characters: Notice the 2x2 round baseplates - those minifigures are supposed to be part of my future Lego Batman board game (hope still doesn't die!) and need to be firmly attached to a potential game board. As a bonus, here is a picture of TNBA "passive" characters, who are not part of my game due to their "inability" to fight: The Marvel family, JL and B:TAS characters are still present in my collection, but I don't currently intend to post their group photos here. I am currently planning to craft a special Christmas minifigure to celebrate the holiday.
  15. Looks very beautiful! So sad it's playset scale, though...
  16. I agree with the last part, especially considering the fact that it was a Lego-specific hairpiece - TLBM Two-Face's damaged side looked like molten plastic, which made sense since he was a Lego minifigure in a world of Lego
  17. I agree with @ILoveSeatron - it does look nice, especially considering the limited amount of parts.
  18. Thank you very much for your kind words, @kuzyabricks! Good luck on designing your own ships!
  19. So am I! Keep going!
  20. @Professor Thaum, I highly value your admiration. Thanks!
  21. @kuzyabricks and @Professor Thaum, thank you very much for the appreciation!
  22. Now that I've built the Redcoat ship of my dream, I think I should post a picture of her new crew here! From left to right: the Lady, the Captain, the Lieutenant, the Admiral (my younger brother, having read books by Patrick O'Brien, suggested to make him an oppressive grumpy man), the Drummer, the Observation Officer on a Montgolfier and, of course, the Pirates of the Children seas! Sadly, the Quartermaster and Cook aren't shown, because they are still stationed ot the ship's quarterdeck, but you can see them on the pictures in the beforementioned topic
  23. I was not satisfied with my younger brother's 31109 Pirate ship, believing it to be unrealistic. I thought that the best option for a pirate ship, built out of 31109 parts, would be a sloop. The Eurobricks Alt-Build Contest motivated me to rebuild the set and submit the result as an entry. Now I reworked my MOC with parts, not included in the set, to make it look more believable. This included adding paper sails and small cannons, and, of course, a Pirate crew! I decided to call them "Pirates of the Children seas" because of how childish they look. Nevertheless, I like the finished result - after all, they are the only Pirates I can afford now. What do you think about these guys?
  24. Here's a new character I crafted - TNBA killer Croc. If you have noticed, I usually base my customs off TNBA designs - I don't think this one in particular is much better than the B:TAS one (though I am not a fan of the original either), I just prefer TNBA to B:TAS overall. ...I sometimes think that I am the only TNBA fan in the world. Some people may enjoy it, but somehow everyone agrees that B:TAS is better. Indeed, TAS had some gem episodes (my favourite is "Heart of ice", a tear-jerking one), but TNBA had some good stories, no stupid episodes like "I've got Batman in my basement" or "The Mechanic" (my least favourite ones are "Cult of the cat" and, ironically, "Legends of the Dark Knight", both of them being pretty solid), more mature storytelling overall (no, I am not talking about the lewdness and violence, though I don't mind them) and, IMAO, more decent animation. The show's distinctive simplified Timm style allowed the artists to minimise mistakes (let's just say some B:TAS episodes didn't have an animation as good as the beforementioned "Heart of ice"), and I like most of the redesigns and personality changes (the Riddler's redesign is outright horrid though, and I used to dislike Joker's black eyes, only now realising what a brilliant idea they were). I am a strong believer of the theory that TNBA is a completely separate, different, albeit with some similarities, continuity than B:TAS, the only media sharing it with TNBA being S:TAS. Now TLG produces TAS sets, I hope, but seriously doubt, that they would realise TNA-based ones, for how generally disliked it is. Which I think is not fair, since it deserves more love from fans... Sorry for the off-topic. I just don't really have an opportunity to express my opinion...
