  1. I personally would've bought ANY AFFORDABLE set with these two characters. They are a must for me. Though I managed to create a decent custom TNBA Batgirl minifigure with stickers and paint, I'd prefer an official take (especially if it's better than mine). I just hope that a potential Ledger minifigure, included in some affordable set, won't suffer the same horrific changes as Nicholson from ucs 1989 Batwing...
  2. AThis is a very beautiful ship! Very streamlined, smooth and cleverly designed. Awesome job! Nice touch! But these guys weren't sailors... But does it really matter, when you are referencing the great artist?
  3. I'm disappointed with you, Dick... Although I agree with that statement, I must admit that possessive pronouns make it a lot more fun (though in a twisted way)...
  4. Sorry, my bad - I didn't read the voting rules before voting. Correct: 3. Ben S 8. Kristel 9. Garmadon
  5. Not only do I totally agree, I also propose to include Aardman's take on DC characters there. The series would be incomplete without these guys:
  6. Thanks for reminding! Indeed, those Cube Dudes can be viewed as 'proto-BrickHeadz'. Although quite old, they still look nice in present days IMHO
  7. Interestingly, Joachim Klang and his friends did something similar (and even called it 'Brick head') before Lego started the series. In fact, when I saw the first BrickHeadz sets, I was pretty sure this is where the inspiration came from Edit: an example (Spock from Star Trek) can be seen on their book's cover
  8. I politely disagree - this is exactly what Thrawn said after his insane defeat at Sluis Van. I shall reveal some of my secret fanfiction plans, yet I must point out that using TIE boarding crafts would've been an obvious and victorious decision. Of course, Zahn could have been unaware of their existence - but he wanted to show how insane Thrawn was. And yes, the good guys must win! I personally see a military-genius-Thrawn as someone who employs simple-yet-unorthodox-yet-efficient tactics to ensure Imperial victory. Although I am not a fan of the Canon TT (Thrawn is a Mary Sue who doesn't like the Empire, AND TIEs FLY IN THE ATMOSPHERE!!!), I liked the idea of using Tsunami to destroy the shield generators. Replace water with snow - this is how Thrawn would've won the battle of Hoth (there canonically was a mountain near Echo base). 90s Thrawn's only real success was bringing several Republican under Imperial rule. Thrawn's senseless arrogance and cruelty towards the Nohgri doomed him even without Leia's efforts - the Nohgri didn't believe her at first (and they were absolutely right, since what she told them was nonsense from the logical point of view). You are absolutely correct - especially about the fact that it wasn't mentioned about the clones not being insane. My fault. Shame on me - I got so frustrated with the book that I completely missed the point that it was C'Baoth's personal fault that mount Tantiss was so horribly guarded. But it still doesn't justify this plot twiist in my eyes. I should point out though that I always hated C'Baoth's power to completely enslave any number of any people's minds - 'That's not how the Force works!' The same applies to Asajj Ventress' mind-controlling Rex in the Clone Wars pilot, which sadly lead to the belief that he was stupid. The OT made it clear that a Jedi can only fool a weak-minded person for a short period. I won't even comment on Thrawn's obviously blatant lies of the Emperor mind-controlling the whole Starfleet during the battle of Endor. Sorry, I forgot about that. My bad I agree. Both Red Hood minifigures are awesome, though the former is quite hard to acquire these days due to its relative rarity and extreme popularity. The latter even had a Jason Todd red hood head underneath the actual hood!
  9. Please forgive me if I offended you. It seemed like you thought I am stupid (not Aslume-stupid, just plain stupid; I am Aslume-stupid, yes). Ironically, Rebels Thrawn is quite an accurate depiction of what Thrawn was in the 90s, although TT Thrawn didn't go as far as bombing civilians (if you didn't read the West End games 'Dark force rising' RPG sourcebook, of course... ). Katana fleet Dreadnoughts were obsolete, clones were insane (Thrawn Aslume). Thrawn would've lost even if Rukh failed to kill him and C'Baoth was out of the game. I can endlessly criticise the TT and their depiction of Thrawn, but I won't because it's the Lego DC thread after all... Unless I don't go too far, because I see that people openly discuss Star Wars here and aren't warned. I meant eyes that are normal to BrickHeadz, but printed on tan tiles with a black background. First solo BrickHead, actually. The first two BrickHeadz were classic Batman and Jonkler in one set.
  10. Sorry I forgot that. I knew there were TLBM BrickHeadz, but I don't remember the details since I was never into BrickHeadz. I am aware this is supposed to be a 'gross insult', but I really don't care about that
  11. My thoughts on the BrickHeadz: 1)All live-action Batmen (except for BvS armor suit) should have had normal eyes, printed on tan tiles 2)TLBM Batman's glowing eyes are OK, but I would've preferred pale blue ones as more screen-accurate 3)Why does Bronze age Man have glowing eyes? Is he a cat? 4)PattinBat's eyes can be placed in a way that will make them look not sad. Yet I am not quite sure why they settled down on exactly such a sad decision 5)What does the number '1' next to TLBM exactly mean? I know it's some kind of joke, but what specifically? Funny thing, since ROTJ Papa Palps (as well as Marjorie Eaton's take in ESB) was the absolute least evil version of the character ever portrayed in any canonical SW media. Excellent in leading what was left of the Empire to its ultimate destruction and greatest humiliation until 'Family reunion and farewell' aired. Even Ozzel's actions seem reasonable compared to Thrawn's. The fact that no one mentioned Darksied as one of their favourite villains (please correct me if I am wrong) speaks for itself.
  12. Thank you for your kind words! As I mentioned before, Knights' Batman miniatures game was the primary inspiration (though I didn't copy their game rules blindly, changing and adding something of my own). Sadly, the development of my game has stopped recently. I was planning to build the clock tower mechanism location for Clock King (based on the BTAS episode of the same name, but with something like a real clock mechanism instead) but couldn't find the turntable gear I needed. 'Beta-testing' the game revealed that the heroes have little to no chance of victory, and the gaming process is not as interesting as I would've liked it to be. I hope to find some time and fix the issues soon though.
  13. Here lies the problem of DC. DC doesn't have anything as popular and beloved as the OT or even the Prequels. DCEU is dead. Adam West's 1966 show is pure nostalgia, which the younger audience would probably regard as an unfunny parody of the dark and gritty Batman they got used to. Burton's two movies and the Nolan trilogy even more so won't save Lego DC, because TLG barely tapped into the 'vast' resources of their potential. DCAU, while favorite among geeks (and freaks like myself) and remembered by those who were kids back in the 90s, cannot be compared to the six Star Wars films in terms of popularity. 2024 is the first year TLG truly remembered that it even exists
  14. With Disney deliberately outright murdering Star Wars in the last days (DCEU creators tried hard to create something decent, at least) and facing fan backlash TLG may end the Lego Star Wars line just as Lego DC.
  15. Is it possible to learn this power? I mean, to leave Eurobricks? As far as I know, we only can log out. Only those, who post spam, are banned from Eurobricks. Considering the fact that this thread is no longer dedicated to future Lego DC sets and minifigures, the idea isn't stupid by itself - but the proposed title doesn't correspond to the situation. A better option would be: "anything DC comics-related and beyond - discussion". Seriously, the modern state of this thread is the one most valid proof of Lego DC's permanent death. Considering recent events, I won't be surprised if the same happens to Lego Star Wars in the future...
  16. Looks intriguing... I don't usually like to cut hard plastic Legos, but you have a good point here. I wonder what they created this piece for...
  17. This is correct. I wish LEGO realised a suitable double clip...
  18. indeed. Cutlass is not a bayonet. I personally tried to stick a unicorn horn into the barrel of the official Lego musket, but it didn't hold there for quite obvious reasons...
  19. That's absolutely correct! While the official Lego musket is not the real answer, custom manufacturers' options don't fit the Lego aesthetic because they are too realistic. Your musket is awesome and looks pretty much well-balanced. I still wish there was a possibility to somehow fix a bayonet on the official Lego musket...
  20. So beautiful! Although the proportions are a little bit off... Nevertheless, great job! The brick-built figures are very nice too!
  21. As if Mr. Freeze can't wear anything but a goofy suit. Why not an intimidating one? Interesting point! Indeed, I think the Nolan trilogy is about unrealistic events in a grounded setting, with the most unrealistic being, IMHO, the infamous Bat aircraft, criticised by EVERYONE understanding how aircraft work IRL. The Batman's scene of Batman's failed attempt to fly reminds me of Dragonfly - I think he will learn to fly at some point. If they don't decide to carry on highlighting Batman's stupidity and incompetence, that is... "I'm disappointed in you, Dick" Some takes on Batman strangely work better without any Robin around...
  22. I love how boldly the Vornskrs were designed. This must be a lesson to anyone designing brick-built animals - you should never be afraid of strange combinations as long as they work out fine for other people! Because they look absolutely gorgeous for me while I personally would've been afraid of posting anything like this. I especially admire the usage of 1x2 plates with old clips for beasts' legs - very clever! Another clever idea is using TLBM Batman's torso for Joruus. Your minifigures are great! Speaking of Mara and Talon, I can't help but point out that their canonical appearances differ from their description in Zahn's books. Mara was described as having "red-gold", not just literally red, hair and wearing clothes with sleeves (the second is reflected in your minifigure, which is worth to be praised, since her sleeves did play some role in the plot ), while Talon had "short cut" hair. But it's just me thinking aloud, for I wonder if anyone else remembers that... Overall, nice entry!
  23. I can add Hugh Campbell, James Stillwell, Big Daddy, Frank D'Amico, Arthur Fleck, Murray Franklin, Dragonfly, the Hourglass... Returning to the Victor Zsasz topic, I came to the conclusion he probably won't be realised as a physical minifigure - his last appearance was in the portable version of 2012 Lego Batman 2. Though if Dominic Toretto's minifigure can exist without his signature cross, Zsasz's potential minifigure may exist without the tally mark scars, IMHO. I studied TLBM screenshots, and it's quite possible a subtle reference to Professor Pyg appeared in the movie... But I doubt they could possibly go beyond that. Something tells me TLG realised at least one set based on something R-rated at some point... But I might be mistaken, and their policies had been consistent all the time. Do the old 6563 and 1687 sets really count? They didn't directly refer to anything specifically, but it's quite obvious what whas going on there...
  24. It looks like Vader the White is going to have a damage-free Sebastian Shaw head! Very useful when creating a minifigure of the actual Anakin Skywalker. I am so glad!
