  1. I guess the Sinestro corps found Batman's ability to inspire fear worthy of their yellow ring... Correct me if I am mistaken
  2. Your dioramas are always so brilliant! Lots of detail and advanced building techniques. Impressive! Man those rebellious droids are crazy. Sentient lifeforms on this planet must have been very cruel to them... I wish that Rax wouldn't have to deal with such angry droids... Hopefully Imperial droids ought to have safe encryption!
  3. So, we are sharing opinions on DC movies? OK, here is my turn... S)The Lego movie (great on its own, I added it to the list only because Batman was featured there) A)The Lego Batman movie, Batman 1989, The Dark Knight, Joker (a horrible Batman adaptation, magnificent on its own) B) Batman: assault on Arkham C)The Flash D) Batman Beyond: return of the Joker, Mystery of Batwoman, Batman returns, Batman 1966, Batman vs Robin, Batman vs TMNT E)Mask of Phantasm, Batman and Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight rises F)Batman forever, Batman and Robin, ALL DCEU MOVIES FEATURING BATMAN (because, sadly, Shazam! didn't feature Batman), The Lego movie 2 (again, only because Batman was there), Batman and Harley Quinn, Batman: Hush, The Killing Joke, the Batman G[never watched, but so bad, that are beyond redemption]): ALL OF BATMAN UNLIMITED, Superman: red son P. S. : added Batman: Assault on Arkham and Superman: red son to my list
  4. Thrawn looks great for people who want his accurate representation from the Ahsoka show, although a new hairpiece mold would've worked better, IMHO. Being based directly on Lars Mikkelsen, this Thrawn's face doesn't look skinny, unlike his 2017 version, but the skin tone is better. Although I like Thrawn, personally I won't be pursuing this minifigure for I am satisfied with my current custom version, made out of existing parts. Unless I'll need a pre-reform Grand Admiral minifigure, that is. I am much more excited about Praji's first official minifigure - alongside with the new Imperial guard (who is mistakenly called 'Imperial navy trooper' in lore). They would make a fine addition to my ANH collection! *Satisfied cough* I am not fond of Ezra's blue eyes. As already pointed out, they make him look like a spice consumer, which is good for Dune fans, but spoils the minifigure's perception, since not only his eyes were originally blue, but it's also a natural eye colour (I suppose?). Interestingly, the same applies to both Lego Hera Syndulla minifigures, since their green eyes make them look a little too much alien. I personally would have preferred normal black eyes for both characters instead. And please don't remind me of using Marion's blue-eyed head for my custom TNBA Barbara Gordon! This is something else...
  5. This MOC is as beautiful, thin and smooth, as the rest of your builds. You are doing an amazing job! But the super-advanced techniques you have employed create a false first impression that some non-Lego parts are involved. Right now I am incapable of creating something like this (I have a different approach, which is not that visually stunning), I just hope to learn someday on my own!
  6. This is not an asylum, hell, it's not even the Aslume that is spreading, and people here are by no means inmates. The Lego Batman thread has suddenly morphed into the DC cinematic forum with little to no connection to the Danish constitution toy whatsoever. I missed the news, but now it's quite obvious to me that the rumoured 1000+ pieces set is actually Marvel, since it's not mentioned here anymore. R. I. Pieces (© Bad Cop) Lego DC! Guess I don't need you anymore, since the BTAS Harley Quinn minifigure is realised, and I can get the rest of the TNBA and STAS characters via combining and customising existing parts. Agreed. Black Batmobile looks better, but dark blue parts are always welcome!
  7. Great thanks! I love feedback! Well, there is the fact that Darth Vader initially wasn't supposed to be anyone's father even after the introduction of the first movie - the idea of him being Luke's father came to Lucas late during the development of the second and was kept a mystery from many people, including David Prowse (which only worsened the relationship between the two). So I guess the "Dark Father" is just wishful thinking (although I kinda agree on the 'Dark' part). Absolutely correct! In fact, "Жаба" is also 'toad' in Russian, which makes it even more funny (related Slavic languages, after all). True, but he wasn't naive after all. The possibility of Luke accidentally learning that "Darth" is actually a Sith title, which was quite considerable, would have raised questions Kenobi was much unwilling to answer. Being a die-hard fan of the initial versions of the Original Trilogy leads to lots of interesting speculations, which violently contradict the established Star Wars lore - both Legends and Disney Canon.
  8. Just thinking. Unlike the Spider-man Lego line (which was based off the Raimi movies), Lego Batman and the 2012 DC Super heroes reboot were almost entirely (with rare exceptions) inspired by comic books. It's a sad thing that Lego DC ceased realising decent comic-inspired sets since 2021's 40453 and the only hope for its revival is the upcoming Gunn's Superman and Reeves' The Batman 2 movies. Relying on movies and omitting comic books (with good reason, but still) is a very depressing sign... Lego Marvel doesn't care, they have the vast resources of the MCU, unlike DC... We are witnessing the downfall of classic comic books You said it
  9. This build is lovely! The plants, the animals... And the droids' sorrow corpses... Great work!
  10. Nonsense. Judging by the context of the show, it is VERY unlikely. Moreover, I highly doubt that it was Timm's idea from the very beginning. And if it was, I am pretty sure it is rejected by now due to the show's plot. TLBM is back!.. Although a BrickHeadz version of TLBM Batman exists already, it's still very nice that the movie is remembered. I hope we may get more!
  11. Sorry, incorrect typing. Mistake corrected!
  12. I really don't understand the purpose of BTAS Batman's new minifigure's rubber cape. For me, it doesn't have any clear advantages over the old fabric one (except for correct shape, maybe?). Could someone please explain? Anyone?
  13. If TLG realised a New 52 Red Robin, we'd be able to make a custom Man minifigure. Also, it's quite hard to create a decent Jonkler minifigure from existing parts, so it would've been great if TLG created one! At least, contrary to the majority's fears, Freeze has got a decent dome piece. The lack of dual-moulded legs is critical though and spoils the minifigure's look quite catastrophically. Only Beast Boy's dark purple boots can help a little since TLG apparently hasn't realised any black legs with pink boots. The Batmobile looks a little off to me, and the dark blue colour is by far not the main reason. IMHO, The TLBM version was much more faithful to the original and way more recognisable. Nevertheless, despite the set's horrible pricing, it may be my first chance to finally get myself a decent Harley Quinn minifigure - while definitely not being my favourite character, she is essential to my TNBA collection (TNBA didn't change her design dramatically)
  14. This is how it happened. This is how Eurobricks' Lego DC News and Discussion thread died. Seriously, are we allowed to jonkle again? It won't help us get more lego DC leaks. It's more like a time-killer
  15. The UCS TIE Interceptor is awesome IMHO. It looks like a giant leap forward in comparison to the 2015 UCS TIE Fighter, especially in the terms of cockpit design. Compaing the original from 2000 to it is absolutely ridiculous, since the old one was anything but faithful to the source material. The new version, while not as good as some MOCs, does look much like the TIE Interceptor from ROTJ. Yet I think the pilot and mouse droid minifigures are bad, since I miss the 2018 Solo helmet with oxygen tubes pattern, and the mouse droid is hard to recreate with Lego pieces
  16. Thanks for the suggestion! I am not sure if I will succeed, but I shall try at some point.
  17. Both sets look horrible. Especially the minifigures
  18. I thought it was an April Fool's joke
  19. Passing the Idiot Ball. Are they stupid?
  20. Thank you! Years of critical rethinking of the Legends (and Canon, too) lore did the job. Just too bad I can't introduce my vision of Thrawn here, since he's canonically missing at the moment. Wish I could do justice to this character with an enormous wasted potential
  21. Because those two are ABSOLUTELY unrealistic. The Dark Millennium Falcon doesn't seem to be based on anything, of its minifigure section only Dark Rey and White Vader appeared in official media (with White Vader appearing in a Legends comic), the Jedi Bob set is a little more believable yet still sounds more like a joke
  22. I already wrote that 75387 Vader has got inaccurate torso printing, which makes the 75150 Rebels minifigure the only more or less acceptable version. Only now I realised that in 75365 Yavin fortress they gave Han Solo a new accurate torso printing that matches his appearance during the award ceremony scene! ONE SCENE! Darth Vader has been wearing clothes over his shoulder armor throught the whole movie, and TLG didn't bother to o give him a new torso design! Isn't it double standard? Please forgive me for bringing it up again, I'm just furious...
