  1. What a beautiful ship!
  2. I understand you completely. That's the proper way to run a business. It's actually also a big favor to all of us because older sets are available that otherwise wouldn't be.
  3. Here are all the new Blacktron 1 minifigs and the new Blacktron 2 minifig I made some changes to the minifigs above to make them more like the originals I really like the original Blacktron 2 with the jetpack, I think they should reintroduce that piece
  4. Lego has been winning several cases lately https://www.dw.com/en/lego-wins-design-patent-case-against-german-company-at-eu-court/a-56978555 https://www.politico.eu/article/lego-win-design-case-german-company-delta-sport-handelskontor-eu-court/
  5. The original minifigure I've had since I was a kid but the vintage one and the one from the Blacktron Cruiser I've bought new and they've been stored away from light so they are in perfect original condition. The torso printing on the vintage version is more white while the other two have a very light gray printing.
  6. I think that they are all great in their own way. I wonder why the Vintage Minifig Collection one has yellow hands, Is it yellow gloves or just his hands? I believe it's yellow gloves since yellow is prominently used in Blacktron sets.
  7. "A Briton, Hilary Fisher Page, and his company Kiddicraft has invented the plastic bricks that Ole Kirk and his son Godtfred are presented with. In the late 1950s, the LEGO Group contacts Kiddicraft to ask whether they object to the LEGO® brick. They do not. On the contrary, they wish the company good luck with the bricks, as they have not enjoyed much success with their product. In 1981, the LEGO Group purchases the rights to the Kiddicraft bricks and trademark from the descendants of Hilary Fisher Page." https://www.lego.com/en-us/history/articles/c-automatic-binding-bricks "Ole Kirk Christiansen and his son Godtfred became aware of the Kiddicraft brick after examining a sample, and possibly drawings, given to them by the British supplier of the first injection moulding machine they had purchased. Realising their potential, Ole copied the Kiddicraft brick and in 1949 marketed his own version, The Automatic Binding Brick, that became the Lego brick in 1953" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hilary_Page
  8. They (Lego) state that they got permission to manufacture the Kiddicraft bricks. They even bought the same machines and studied the Kiddicraft manufacturing process. It is even written somewhere on their website. If I remember correctly I've linked that page on some other thread here on Eurobricks.
  9. From left to right, The minifig from the Blacktron Cruiser (2023), Vintage Minifigure Collection Blacktron 1 (2009 and 2012) and the original Blacktron 1 minifig (1987-1991). Aren't they amazing! I'm so happy that they have brought back the Blacktron 1 minifig a couple of times. Does anyone have close up pictures of the Vintage Collection Blacktron fig with black hands?
  10. Yes, that's true and also one of the main reasons I only buy genuine Lego products. It's also important that they invented most of the pieces and the minifig and the other companies are just stealing their work.
  11. Ain't gonna happen. Most people like specific things for various reasons whether it's Lego, Star Wars or Ford Mustangs. And Lego is one of the few toy/model manufacturers that have most of it's manufacturing outside of China, that's important to me.
  12. I miss the minifig packs they used to make. When I was a kid they added so much play value to my sets when I had more minifigs. If such minifig packs were available today I'd by several and use the minifigs in my displays. Minifigs from pick a brick is kinda a replacement for those but they are not really easy to acquire. I buy a lot of random minifigs at yard sales and then try to piece together some minifigs from those and parts from Bricklink. I temporarily placed the minifigs from 6251 that I had assembled on a bookshelf (after my cat stole captain Redbeard) but they looked so good there so I left them there.
  13. That is also what I do. In general I prefer to build without music but when I do want music it is something related to the theme.
  14. That would be a logical explanation for the TX code. It would make sense because the TX sets have all been in North America.
  15. Maybe that's the case. It would be great if someone on Eurobricks knows someone who gets sets to review. Then we could compare the codes.
  16. R is the code for Mexico. Regular European sets are packed and boxed in the Czech Republic (code S) while most GWPs and Lego exclusives for Europe are packed in Billund (code O). Maybe the situation is similar in North America with two different locations because of two different codes? Most European sold pieces are made in Billund and then shipped to Kladno (Czech Republic) for printing, packing and boxing and there they get the code S. For some reason the GWPs and exclusives are packed and boxed directly in Billund and get the codes O or M.
  17. It seems that European Lego exclusive and GWP sets have the O code while North American sets have TX. O is Billund but I don't know what TX is. I tried to find out earlier but with no success. Other codes are known but I haven't been able to find TX
  18. I got mine yesterday. It's a very nice set. Mine has the factory code "O" which means Billund, Denmark. @Space Coyote I guess you bought yours in the US, does it have the same code? My Blacktron Cruiser also has the "O" factory code while I've seen North American Blacktron Cruiser boxes with the code "TX".
  19. For some reason the same piece is available from both the warehouse in Billund as well as Poland. Maybe it used to be a bestseller and then got downgraded to standard and they still have stock left in Poland under the bestseller label?
  20. Here's a screenshot from pick a brick
  21. Before I knew the official name of the color I thought it was a shade of yellow. I was surprised when I found out that it was called green. Even pick a brick sorted it under yellow. I miss that color.
  22. Thanks! I have to check it out.
  23. It felt very special to assemble these minifigs because these subthemes were a huge part of my childhood and they haven't received any new minifigs since the early 90s until now.
  24. Every knight needs a real horse
