  1. I took a catalog and counted all sets that contain minifigures. There were 75 in house sets and 120 licensed sets. I counted very fast so there might be some minor mistakes but that is roughly the number.
  2. That is exactly how I feel. Back then they could make their own things and now everything feels soulless because of Hollywood. Now they can't even make Space sets because of Star Wars. It went in the wrong direction when Peter Eio got promoted and Poul Plougmann (he almost single handedly ruined Lego) got hired and tried to change Lego. They tried to become like Mattel and that caused all the economic problems (too much product diversification).
  3. Those are so beautiful! I hope they bring those to Billund as well.
  4. I use PayPal on Lego Shop at Home and it's very easy and fast to use. One click and a password is all that is required. It's also possible to pay right away with a credit card but if you want it to be as simple as possible I'd recommend PayPal.
  5. Now would be the perfect time for a full wave of normal Castle sets with Dreamz and Monkie Kid on the way out and they are also too similar to the Ninjago sets while being subpar in quality and too silly compared to Ninjago. It's madness to have so many silly themes with mechs in vibrant colors. Maybe something like the fantasy era Castle sets would be the best solution?
  6. In the movie Beck 43-Ett Nytt Liv (Sweden 2021) a 6949 Robo Guardian is visible in several scenes (in the movie it is called "a new transformer toy" and is a gift from the boy's grandmother). @antp maybe you are interested in the picture? Feel free to use it in your list.
  7. I'm very happy that the upscaled blue Classic Space astronaut has a printed logo. I'm not sure if I would even buy it if it had a sticker. I'll buy it next time I go to a Lego store.
  8. At first I didn't like the latest City space sets at all but after a while I learned to appreciate them because the concept is similar to Classic Space and they are definitely sci-fi. They are still not my cup of tea but they fill an important role in the lineup. If kids would dislike non licensed sci-fi sets and themes they would never have made the most recent City space sets. It think that those who say that kids doesn't like space/sci-fi themes should either post some proof/sources or stop saying it. We already have proof (on video) that SW was the reason for the end of the Space theme so I don't understand how people still can deny that. I think that under current circumstances the best way forward would be another City space faction and let the consumer decide if they are allies, enemies or something in between to the current faction.
  9. I really like this one. It looks really great in Blacktron colors. The canopy looks like it was made for Blacktron.
  10. The Lego Education space sets feels like a hidden second wave of the City Space sets. I especially like the rover.
  11. Yesterday I bought 6066 Camouflaged Outpost for 50€ (plus 6€ for shipping). Only the small plumes, the bows and the halberd are missing and I have spares except for the small black plume. One small tree is missing from the picture but it is also included. The cheapest sets on Bricklink with minifigs included are 100€ so I'm very happy with this find. The pictures are from the seller and now I look forward to building this set that I've wanted since my childhood.
  12. I like this alternate build very much and the background in the picture is so cool. The same goes for this one. Very creative building methods! Both Futuron and M-Tron are subthemes that I like very much.
  13. Nice! I hope that the Galacticoaster will also come to Billund.
  14. In my opinion the amount of specialized parts is huge nowadays. For example I find the specialized car roof plates totally unnecessary. In the 80s and 90s there was much more overlap between themes and their parts selection. A more limited color palette was also helpful when building large MOCs back then, that and aesthetic reasons is why I only use the colors that were available in the year 2000 when building MOCs.
  15. I think that is exactly what is missing. Creating small worlds was one of the funniest thing when I was a kid and it also encouraged kids to get more sets and pieces. That was reflected in the catalogs with beautiful dioramas with many sets and landscapes. Nowadays there are just some boring pictures of the sets on top of lazy computer made backgrounds.
