  1. The only difference might be that it hurts an person more. But other than that I don´t see a difference. Stealing if wrong and that is about it. I don´t know but your posts don´t really sound like there is less anger involved honestly: Not really a fan of the sequels, but if you need to tell yourself that they were so bad that theft is ok, I don´t really agree with the way you see things. And honestly, without Disney there wouldn´t have been Series like the Mandalorian which I personally like a lot.
  2. There is actually a thread for such requests: REQUEST Name Change HERE - Forum Information and Help - Eurobricks Forums
  3. I have to agree with Space here. While without Star Wars we would obviously have more production space for other Sets, it wouldn´t mean we would get other space sets. Likely they would rather try other licenses. And we really shouldn´t underestimate the role Sgtar Wars plays for Lego and that not only financially. In the end Star Wars IMO is one of the main things that helped Lego getting popular and accepted by Adults.
  4. They already canceled it.
  5. Noone complained about anyone doing it in this thread. But doing that in other threads that have different themes is another story ;) Well they are doing that now because of a lot negative publicity for them for stealing mocs - but especially when the moccer refuses their offer they are still stealing it anyways. And even if they got the ok of the Moccer in this case, they don´t have the IP-Holders.
  6. I´d rather have new buildings than ones we already have in Diagon Alley - adding new ones to existing ones doesn´t really make it better but rather worse.
  7. What kind of comment is this please? Do you always infer from one person to whole nations? If you would have read the comment just above yours you would have realised it can´t be like that ;). Well youtubers that make reviews of Bluebrixx Sets usually are fans of Bluebrixx so they surely don´t care about it - at least when we are talking about the bigger, more famous ones. Anyways that Bluebrixx doesn´t care about licensing isn´t new either. They are also known for selling stolen moc (though I don´t think they do this anymore now) but they still are doing unlicensed products.
  8. The set is retired (it is marked as old product in the german online shop) however possible they produced more to sell them before christmas but production got delayed or whatever. Anyways I think when the ones they have in stock still are gone, there won´t be more of them.
  9. Well I actually like the train Lego made - I am no train expert though, so I might not be as critically as some of the train fans are. Anyways I have no doubt there will be enough people liking it - same as there surely are plenty people liking the Mould King one. They are known for stealing Mocs and selling them as their product. Which would be reason enough for me to not give them any money.
  10. Well you complain about people buying only Lego beeing toxic but here you are complaining about them because they only buy Lego. I´ve given my cents about differents brands a few posts ago, so I´ll leave that there. I think most of the time people that buy only Lego and those who buy both Lego and other brands are getting along quite well and in this forum especially I haven´t seen much writen that I would call toxic, however I´ve seen post where people felt like they where attacked by posts that seemed quite harmless to me. But when it comes to toxic posts, I also would call posts that always try to advertise other companies in places where they don´t belong, such as Lego´s instagram or the Lego Orient Express thread in this Forum (where even a moderator had to step in actually) toxic or spam which naturally can also lead to answers of the same kind. That beeing said, maybe you should just enjoy whatever products you are enjoying but on the other hand let other people do the same with whatever they enjoy ;) So much about toxic post ;).
  11. It was first rumoured to release in 2023 so it has been delayed - or that dates were just wrong. But that Set surely beeing exclusive to Lego for the first 3 months at least - and after that likely just sold by one of Legos Partners, similar to the Galaxy Explorer I wouldn´t put to much in not having much information yet - after all for the Medieval Town Square we don´t really have any news either aside from price and piece count (which we already have for the Black Spaceship for a while) And the medieval town square is supposed to be released one month earlier than the space ship after all.
  12. The Lion Knights Castle is a Set I will definitely get - the question really is just when, if we would have gotten the same Black Friday deals USA got I would already call it my own ;). In the end we know when Sets will retire about half a year before they - of course they also change such dates nearer to the end of the year and let them retire earlier but that seems unlikely to happen to the Lion Knights Castle - and even then there should still be plenty of time to get it.
  13. Well, I can feel you here. Even if we are not getting an own Theme of Castle or Lord of the Rings there are still so many other great Sets. And Room and Money is limited (and while you will get more money over time, getting more room is not that easy - and requires more money). I haven´t bought the Lion Knights Castle yet, even though I would say it is my favourite Set yet produced - but it also a set that I think will stay around for some time, so I am not in a hurry to buy it. As for the Medieval Town Square, we will see when they reveal that Set if it will land on my List. If not I will just buy some Minifigures from Pick a Brick. I don´t really collect any Theme, though there are some themes I am interested in, such as Castle, Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones etc. Rivendell is a very great Set but I am not sure whether I will get it. As you wrote, place and money are limited and Rivendell might suffer from this. I am not really interested in Barad-Dûr so the desicision for that one is an easy skip. There are still enough Sets I would like to get but in the same time new ones get released (as the Medieval Town Square or the Dungeon and Dragons Set, that would likely be a must buy if it is close to the fan design). In the end there are so many great Sets nowadays so in the we will have to decide which ones we really want and which we don´t, even though we would like to get them. As for what Set you should choose and which not, that is a question only you can answer. I mean everyone has a different taste and while I like the Lion Knights Castle most, you might like somethings else more ;).
  14. We have seen that too ;).
  15. As far as I am aware, there are more than just one "app" people are using - additionally to just scanning the code using only the camera (or an code reader app) and manually comparing the number to see which minifigure it is.
  16. I agree with that. However those Sets were before I was even born, and they are more aiming towards adults that had them as a kid but might not be that appealing for younger audience, even though of course everyone has a different taste and even if it might be a bit expensive for that, it certainly also is a great playset.
  17. I wouldn´t call them underwhelming. The Eldorado Fortress is still a great Set and the Majisto would definitely have been better as a set than a GWP - it is however still good for what it is even though that one really suffered from the high expectations and wrong leaks before it´s release. However, after the Lion Knights Castle I can understand when people rather would have got a new modernised set rather than a close reimagination. For me, the hideout and the Galaxy Explorer are actually both Sets that were rather close to the original, so more comparable to the Eldorado Fortress than the Lion Knights Castle. And actually I would have prefered to have the Galaxy Explorer as a more modernized Version than it is. I wouldn´t say it was designed at the same time as the Castle, but wouldn´t wonder if the same Designers were working on it - and none of the infos we got gives us a hint that it would be a reimaginated Set like Galaxy Explorer or El Dorado - it actually is quite save that will be similar to the Castle, however I don´t expect them to hit the nail with it like they did there (but that is pretty much a personal impression anyways).
  18. If you compare the old Harry Potter Sets with the Lord of the Ring ones I would say, the Lord of the Rings were already way better designed (after all there are ten years in between them) and while the second wave of Harry Potter already got the new skin colours the minifigures don´t look that good while the Lord of the Ring Minifigures are just great. That beeing said, while the price might drop because people don´t have to buy the old sets but also can buy the new ones, I wouldn´t think that the drop would be that big.
  19. Well I can only speak for myself but I have no problem with other companies using the same sizes or even the tubes (since the patent ran out everyone can use it). But there is a difference between companies like Cobi that while having the same system bricks as Lego uses create own brick designs, while others just copy lego´s. And with Brick design I don´t mean System bricks like normal plates or YxZ Stones but things like Animals, Plant parts, Minifigures and other special bricks - like masonary bricks for instance - for all of those there is just no reason that they have to look the same, they can just design their own which still would fit into the system.
  20. I wouldn´t agree on that. While of course there are more different Sets now that are based on own builds aswell as of Mocs (both just copied and with agreement of the Designer) there are still plenty of Copied Sets out there, especially for bigger Sets like Rivendell. I would actually say that also increased, however with more overall sets produced from other companys it might seem less. And then there are Sets based on intellectuall property that are sold without the agreement of the IPs owner.
  21. I don´t think the 200€ Set will be the Burrows (one of the leakers stated it wouldn´t be too) as I don´t think that one is in the list. As it is Exclusive to Lego at least for some time Infos usually leak later than for other sets - however the Burrows is still the most likely option - but I would guess it will be at least 250€ then. The Castle isn´t D2C.
  22. Name me one theme where that wouldn´t be the case? There will always be someone complaining about something. But aside from that, there has been quite some time between then and now and overall I would say that the look of Lego-Sets has improved to be more appealing to adults.
  23. LEGO IDEAS - Blog - Target x LEGO Ideas Set Vote! - Now Open
  24. I think the Vikings Set had two advantages. On one side, unlike Pirates, Space and Castle, Lego wasn´t planning to bring it back aside from the one creator set - and the second might be - but that is just a guess - that target might have something to say when they chose which set they are setting for vote and which one gets choosen in the end.
  25. Well, I don´t think we would get that set eitherway. I mean, there have been enough sets like that already and none was accepted and I do have the feeling if Lego wants to do a Forestmen Set it would rather be an Set like Lion Knight´s Castle and Medieval Town Square, rather than an Ideas set.
