That is not a Lego Movie. Lego didn´t choose to make this, they are just a partner working on this movie. I am still surprised they do it though.

There is a difference in the licencing of Star Wars and Harry Potter though - we know they only have the rights for the Films and while displaying Figures from the Fantastic Beasts Films shouldn´t be that much of a problem I don´t see them including Figures from Hogwarts Legacy.

I can´t really follow your Logic here. Galaxy Explorer is Retired, while Lion Knights Castle and the others are not. So yeah, well Galaxy Explorer is gone, but I don´t see why the others should sell out since they just get new ones.

I wouldn´t count to much on them to make this happen in the same way since every anniversary the design teams of the respective theme will decide on their own what kind of figs (if they even do them, they could aswell make something else instead) they will add. However since the Star Wars Team made those figs it is ofc possible that they say cool, lets make this for Harry Potter - but I am honestly not sure if Harry Potter has that many Figures that are still missing and in the same place Iconic enough to get displayed - if we are talking about the film Figures only. Especially since there will be some Sets in the meantime till that Date and it would surprise me if Narcissa Malfoy would still have no Minifig till then. That beeing said, with Star Wars they concentrated on Minifigures that would without this inclusion would likely never have become an own Figure which in the case of Harry Potter leaves not that many that recommended Characters in the end IMO.

Wouldn´t that big leaker contact rather post that info himself? Also, everyone can just claim to have a big, unnamed leaker contact. So far sounds fishy to me, although with the release date known a reveal around that time seems likely - but we will see if it will be that exact day. Well yeah we kinda already know how it looks like, even if the quality was very bad and for sure there will be a lot neat details to discover in the set. But the biggest existement I have is for the minifigure, not the set itself. With the Lion Knights Castle we had a rough scetch of how it would look like from Promobricks, which already looked great and raised the anticipation for actual Pics. But maybe it is also the time span we already have those pics around in the Town Squares place, I mean it is almost a year now that those prelims have been around.

We don´t even know if any player will even get any ape - I mean sure they could be used as player figures, but we don´t know much about that game yet. Maybe they are just used as deco objects or something. Anyways I would expect the game to be rather expensive, but we will see.

If I remember correctly it was stated back then that they got new Set numbers because once a Set is retired it can´t be simply brought back - so the difference should be that they decided to late that they would keep them around, when they were already retired. It was also stated that they asked the fan designers for their ok - it seems very likely that they also still got the 1% from their sets. That would really surprise me (and I kinda feel like we would have heard about this if it was a thing, considering all of the designers are afol´s)

I am not sure "spamming" in this thread every day because one person claimed it would be released then makes that much sense honestly. ;) Aside from that. Who was it, and how credible is he? I wouldn´t want to simmer towards something that isn´t happening in the end. Though I have to say my exitement for the Lion Knights castle was way greater than it is for the Town Square - likely because of the prelims.

I don´t think there is any contract that really prevents them from doing such thing. The sets are unlicensed so the only contract would be between Lego and the Fan Designer. Now, I don´t know how exactly those agreements are made of course, but I would doubt that there is any production span or even a number of sets set there. Also, as mentioned above we have seen those Sets retirement dates changed in both directions already. Why it retired that early is still a mystery to me though. I wouldn´t be so sure about the classic revival part either. I am not saying it didn´t had any part at all, but the real reason behind this was IMO the 90 year Sets they made - and I doubt they wouldn´t have made them without the Barracuda bay.

The infos posted earlier in this thread said 560 Pieces actually ;). I would guess for a building, since a pod would be way to little and I think if it were a mobible lab with wheels using a pod or something they would have named it moblile science lab. A lab in space is also possible, though. If we are looking at the price and the pieces, it doesn´t seem to be including many big transparent windscreen-parts, which I would expect for a ground base in the end.

They haven´t really done any movies since then either though - basically since their contract with Warner expired and they signed one with Universal, so I wouldn´t take that as any hint whether they would do that, or not. Also, we should keep in mind, this isn´t really a Lego movie. It is a Pharall Williams Movie, wherere Lego is a partner that works with them. So Lego is more likely just the stilistic device there, and whether they want to include a minifigure won´t be Lego´s choice (though it is a very likely thing to do if they are animating the Film with Lego Figures etc. - and I don´t see Lego objecting to that if they are asked to make such a minifigure really). In the end I would be rather surprised if there wouldn´t be a special edition with a minifigure really.

None of all this dates were ever offical as far as I know. Lego communicates the end dates of those Sets with retailers and that is where those lists come from - I would guess for exclusive sets they get them from countrys where thoses sets are sold by Lego licensed shops. Sites like Brickset or some Lego-Blogs tend to post these lists like half an year before sets are going to retire, because at that point there are less changes to those data, although there are always some sets for that this dates still get changed.

I would bet anything I own against that. That film will be very different from all other Lego Films they made and I hardly see any reason why they would do that. Not to mention that a series like that would hardly appeal any kids. I don´t even think that this is very likely. What wouldn´t surprise me if they make a special edition of the DVD/Blu-Ray of the Film with his Minifig included.

Which dates did they have before? Retirement dates that are so far in the future don´t matter really anyways. The longer the period the more time for them to get changed.

Well with the arrival Set we are getting they kinda picture a Scene where we don´t really see what any person is wearing. Given it is quite cold outside it can be hardly doubt that Gabrielle was wearing that when she stepped out of the carriage - which kinda was a good excuse to have her wearing the same cloths in the former set - for this set using the cloths from the scene you pictures seem likely at least, in the end Barty Crouch also is just shown in the great Hall. On the other side I wouldn´t be that much surprised if they however just use the same clothings for both with shorter Legs only for Gabrielle. Anyways I am not really a fan of how their arrival was depicted in the movies their arrival in the books is way better IMO.

I wouldn´t wonder if they make a Film out of that one day. Maybe not in the next few years, but one day, who knows - then there could also be some Sets about them. I hardly see that happening. The set is about their arrival so ther figures will be from that Scene too.

Noone doubts that there might be specific licenses but in the end we don´t know what is really in there - and sure there will be several points that make sure Lego can just make whatever. But the point isn´t really what they are allowed right now, but if they would be allowed to do playsets of smaller size - and there is just seems very unlikely to me that they wouldn´t be allowed if they would want to make them. So I think it is either they want and we will get some next year - or they don´t want yet and we will have to wait longer till they finally do.

I am pretty sure it will be D2C at least for three months. Then one of Legos Partners could possibly also get it - but not sure how early they know if they get it - anyways I would doubt they will get details about those sets before they are revealed, so leaks from that source seem unlikely to me.

Maxime, Fleur, Gabrielle, Karkaroff, his assistant, Krum are the ones I would at least expect in the Set - and well now Crouch, though not sure how he really fits in there. Hagrid is the one taking care of the Abraxans after all, so I wouldn´t call it unrelated really. None of the castles really had only one theme. And even if the Great Hall will be based on it we don´t know if Dumbledore is included there and even if he would, we could still get a second Dumbledore in Dumbledores Offices for Instance.

Well the first two are not really a surprise, even I could have revealed they would be included lol. I wouldn´t have thought Barty Crouch Sr. would be included though. But well just glad they did. Anyways I´m curious about the number of minifigures included, I would guess each school should at least have three minifigs, but would hope for more, since 3 minifigs would just be enough to picture the main figures of each school.

Sure they can not just make whatever they want. But if we are beeing realistic here. How likely does it seem to you that they are ok with Barad-Dûr and Rivendell aswell as Brickheadz but would decline other Sets? Sure everything is possible but to me that seems very, very unlikely.

It seems unlikely to me that an legal issue let´s them produce two big sets aswell as some brickheadz but doesn´t allow them to make smaller Sets.

When they start with 66, I wrote one 6 to much. Anyways it would be strange if they would break that pattern now and use the normal number range. But I think we all will be happy when it is a new Set. Very likely, since they Started with 660xx - I would actually even think they will change to 67xxx at some point. Since they tend to often skip several numbers, it won´t take them to long I guess.
