  1. I think the best chance for GL would be to include him as part of a Justice League set this summer. GL, Superman, and Martian Manhunter vs a macrofigure Doomsday aboard the Watchtower would be pretty damn sweet.
  2. Judging from the photos on the back of the box, the Batplane's wings can act as a clamp to capture the Joker. Never mind that: 1) This would probably kill Joker; 2) The Batplane would crash. Logic aside, ugly is ugly and that thing is ugly. I'll be sticking with my nice classic Batplane from 6863.
  3. Spinlyn is one hot momma.
  4. As much as I like the Electro design, it'll make it harder for TLG to pull off an Iceman that looks distinct from him.
  5. Wow, Spider-Bytez and Leatherhead. Sweet! Very smart of Lego to give the Turtles new outfits. Spider-Man could take a lesson from them.
  6. I'm sorely tempted to get that set just for the classic blue and grey Batman.
  7. JUGGERNAUT. JUST GIVE US JUGGERNAUT.
  8. I think Storm is much more deserving of a minifigure than Nightcrawler.
  9. I don't care for the Spider-Man vehicles either, but I understand their purpose. Lego needs to keep their primary target(children) in mind when designing sets and a funky helicopter in primary colours is going to go over better than say, a rooftop setting or Peter Parker's dingy apartment. As others have noted, there are many existing Marvel vehicles that would make good sets: the Fantasti-Car, the X-Jet, various SHIELD and HYDRA craft, etc. I'm surprised there hasn't been a Sentinel or a Spider Slayer set yet.
  10. That Captain America looks fantastic. I'm looking forward to owning two sets of Avengers: one from the movie, one from the classic comics. I wouldn't even mind another Iron Man if they did him in Mk III armour like this: http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20051021013060/marveldatabase/images/2/26/Iron_Man_Armor_MK_III.jpg
  11. Another thing I like about the Hulk Lab Smash set is that my villains will finally have a place to hang out just like the heroes on the Helicarrier. I wish TLG would do another set with Dr. Doom in it. Perhaps it could be the Avengers attacking his castle.
  12. I'm quite happy with a variation of Thor. My only wish is that he had bare arms and a helmet.
  13. Absolutely. It still would have looked silly with a main rotor and two tiltrotors, but at least the colour scheme would have been nicer. And yes, anyone who's paid even cursory attention to Spider-Man knows that there have been tons of costume variants.
  14. If they do a CMF line---and that would cause me to dance for joy---they should give us "lesser" superheroes: She-Hulk, Luke Cage(adult), Daredevil, Elektra, Dr. Strange, Wasp, Iceman, and Black Panther. Villain-wise, where to begin? Baron Zemo, Kang the Conqueror, Green Goblin(comic version), Absorbing Man, Mystique, Madam Viper, and a HYDRA Trooper for the army builder. Oh, and lastly, Agent Coulson. :)
  15. For myself, I hated Iron Man 3, so anything in that movie is a writeoff in my book. I recently got rid of my Mandarin and Killian minifigures---although I did keep War Machine. ;)
  16. I have no doubt that Thanos will appear in a future Marvel set. He's supposed to appear in the Guardians of the Galaxy film, although it could amount to nothing more than another cameo. But it's pretty clear that Marvel plans to eventually use him in a BIG way. Probably Avengers 3. And yeah, while Mary Jane and Pepper Potts are characters, they're not superheroes any more than Alfred Pennyworth, Jim Gordon, Lois Lane, or J. Jonah Jameson are.
  17. I think the macrofigure class should be reserved for characters who truly warrant it. Hulk, Thing, Abomination, Juggernaut, and Rhino are all worthy, but Beast is not. Heck, I was disappointed to see Colossus portrayed that way in the game. He's muscular in the comics, but he's not ginormous.
  18. I'm fine with more CA, IM, and Thor minifigures as long as they're used as "anchors" for sets containing new characters. A set containing Abomination, Absorbing Man, She-Hulk, Agent Coulson piloting a SHIELD helicopter, and Daredevil, for example, isn't going to be as popular as a set that replaces Daredevil with Iron Man. No offense to DD, but Iron Man he's not.
  19. It'd be so sweet if the X-Men set included a Juggernaut macrofigure. Storm and Mystique would be fine. Personally, I'd most like to see She-Hulk, Wasp, Ms. Marvel, and Spider-Woman. Another Black Widow would be alright as well.
  20. I do wish they'd given us Spider-Woman or Black Cat or any other female character instead of that policeman in 76015. The lack of women in the Marvel line really does bug me. That's one area where DC is ahead! Also, I wonder if those blue walls in 76018 are supposed to have stickers on them. I sure hope they will.
  21. Woohoo! 76014: Classic Doc Ock! YES! SOLD! :D 76015: I really like that Electro, especially with his abundance of lightning bolt pieces. The Spiderbuggy is hit or miss. 76016: Meh. I don't care for the giant Goblin or that version of Power Man. Moreover, the Spidercopter has the most bizarre design ever. Combining a main rotor with two tiltrotors means you're going to crash and burn on your first flight attempt. 76017: I would have preferred Red Skull's black custom car from the first CA movie, but this vehicle will do fine. 76018: I definitely need MODOK and Taskmaster. Falcon will be welcome as well. And hey, an extra Hulk figure is a good thing. I just wish they'd given Thor bare arms and a helmet. More Marvel sets, please. Lots more!
  22. Angry pretty much suits the Red Skull to a tee.
  23. No, I'm failing to see how it's any different. They're all major franchises with devoted fanbases consisting of both kids and adults. Not really. The Orthanc Ent's beard isn't nearly bushy enough to resemble Treebeard's and the branches on his body are completely different. You say all this and yet you don't provide any argument for it beyond "probably never gonna happen." How do you know Lego won't produce a Treebeard set?
  24. Putting aside the fact that the ent in the Orthanc set isn't referred to as Treebeard and doesn't bear a strong resemblance to the character, such reasoning doesn't make a lick of sense given Lego's philosophy. Harry Potter had multiple versions of the Knight Bus, Hagrid's Hut, the Hogwarts Express, and Hogwarts itself and Star Wars has had multiple X-Wings, TIE fighters, and Millennium Falcons.
  25. Above all else, I'd like a stand-alone Treebeard set with Merry, Pippin, and an orc to squash. Next up would be the Witch King atop his fell beast, with Eowyn to chop off its head. Some small army builder sets similar to those of Star Wars would be appreciated as well.
