  1. I wonder where the allegiances of the bears and rhinos will lie. I'm thinking the food-loving bears will side with Laval and the warlike rhinos will go with Cragger.
  2. Yeah, the original FB post has been deleted. Thundercats got cancelled this year, so Dan Norton is probably still very bitter. Again, I can't see this actually going to court.
  3. https://www.facebook.com/Dingo107/posts/10151348436755909 Anthropomorphic animals are nothing new, so it's not like there's any chance of a court case here. Just a whole lot of sour grapes.
  4. I'd like to see some aerial vehicles for the Crocs, Lions, and Wolves.
  5. Hope you got lots of Lego! :)
  6. My apologies if someone else has already posted about this. I just came across the story now and was very moved by it. http://consumerist.c...e-disappointed/
  7. I still hold out hope for a series of zoo sets.
  8. I think this is excellent news. In the first place, I'm thrilled by the idea of three new films. Think of all the kids out there who have grown up loving SW, but never had the opportunity to see a new film in theatres. Re-releases don't count. In the second place, I'm relieved that someone other than Lucas will be at the helm. A fresh perspective is exactly what the brand needs. Lucas has a first-rate imagination, but as a writer of dialogue and a director, he's sub-par at best and horrid at worst. Why do ESB and ROTJ have the best acting out of all the films to date? Because they were directed by different people. And in the third place, I sincerely hope Disney, the producers, the writers, and the director ignore the EU completely if they so choose. Who says they have to adapt a piece of existing fiction anyhow? Grown-up fans? Please. Again, I think the best course of action is to start out on a completely blank page. Set it in a time that doesn't interfere with any pre-existing EU fiction, but doesn't curtail to it either. In the end, no matter what comes down the pipeline in 2015, there's no way everyone will be happy with the film. Some fans will rejoice. Others will gnash their teeth. Such is life. BUT WE WILL GET NEW LEGO SETS. And that is unquestionably a good thing. :)
  9. I must confess, I was really hoping that the Galaxy Squad would look like the Galaxy Patrol from Wave 7. Still looks interesting though.
  10. I'd like to see them finally do an E-Wing fighter to go up against the TIE Defender: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/E-wing_escort_starfighter
  11. I too vote for the Life on Mars Solar Explorer! Never. The Cosmic Fleet Voyager was one of my favourite sets as a child. Four minifigures, lots of interior space, detachable halves, and plenty of tools. http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=1478-1 Now this was a ridiculously lazy set. They didn't even bother with an MTron logo for the hood. http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=1787-1 Always thought the wheels looked ugly that way. http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=6813-1 I choose this one out of the SP3 sets to illustrate the sad point that they were all woefully underarmed. I turned my Galactic Mediator into a 16-gun war machine as soon as I got it.
  12. I can understand not liking the designs, but taking the Croc Boat to task because real crocodiles don't have enormous bulging eyes is just plain silly. I wonder if they'll roll out new animal factions for a future wave. Pandas, rhinos, bears, and owls would be nifty.
  13. The designs are great and the new uniforms are a smart move. But I'm just completely sick of Police and Firefighters.
  14. Am I the only one who's disgusted by the serious lack of female superheroes? How about giving us Supergirl, Batgirl, Huntress, Spider-Woman, She-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel?
  15. I really am disappointed with the selection for next year. I get that Fire and Police are popular, but too much is too much. It's boring and redundant, even if the sets themselves are well-put together. Oh, and in addition to Zoo sets, I wouldn't mind seeing a stab at some School sets. A school bus, a classroom, etc.
  16. *Sigh* I still hold hope for a series of zoo sets.
  17. I can understand the issues some people have with Series 8, but personally, I think it's fantastic. I'm especially thrilled about getting to own the Vampire Bat and the Alien Villainess without having to pay for a $90+ set. I will also say that I think the Pirate Captain looks great even without epaulets.
  18. How big is he compared to the previous two Bulks?
  19. I'm all for a return of Von Nebula. And c'mon, there's no way he'd be a reissue.
  20. I don't like the jesters as knights at all. Better to replace them with a couple of regular knight figures with the grille style helmets.
  21. Fantastic job!
  22. The Power Miners have this one all wrapped up. Better vehicles, better monsters. Would've been nice to have had a female member though.
  23. Again I repeat my deep desire for a City zoo series. Give us a whole bunch of the current critters, especially the elephant, plus all-new giraffe, lion, tiger, and say, zebra. Or rhino.
  24. Finally picked up this set on sale last week. I absolutely love it! The base is fantastic with tons of cool features, the two vehicles are fun (I don't get the mini-copter hate), the minifigures are nifty (although I wish there was more than just one girl in the line), and the dinosaurs are simply awesome! If only I'd had a set like this when I was a kid! As it stands, I keep the Tyrannosaurus rex here on my desk with me to menace my Minifigures collection.
