My dear Eurobricks friends, What would you all recommending purchasing (note my budget is around $200~ since I blew my budget on a black pearl moc) a brand new sealed Goblin King set or a used (everything included) Mines of Moria set. Both of them mean a lot to me. I watched an Unexpected Gathering with my grandfather when it came out and it was one of my very first movies watched in a theatre. However I also watched hours of Mines of Moria review videos when it released to keep learning and keep up my English by watching youtube videos. So both have special feelings in my heart. Would you all recommend the Goblin king set since I doubt we will get more Hobbit sets soon, or the Mines of Moria to go along with the Balrog next year? However maybe a new Mines of Moria set will come out soon? Need your help))))

Balrog bookend coming in June 2025. A bit hesitant with this…

My friend I don’t doubt that it is worth that much. I’m sorry that you as a business owner have people lowballing you way below the market value. That’s not cool. They shouldn’t be wasting your time. I’m not arguing with the market, it is what it is. I will however stand my ground on that the prices are ridiculous. Just because someone does buy them doesn’t mean the prices aren’t insane. And hey good for them for getting those sets, at the end of the day they get to enjoy them! What I am trying to say is that if there is a slim chance that we got Thorins company in the upcoming set, “they already came out” is not an excuse to not remake them. I’m not begging Lego to rerelease old sets, I agree that I doubt that the hobbit would sell as well as LOTR (still would sell well overall in my opinion) but if we are paying a high price for Lego why shouldn’t we hope for a lot of figures? I’m still holding out for the whole group AND characters from the beginning of LOTR such as the four hobbits with new prints))). That would make it a much more enticing set overall. Good point on the last part I forgot he wasn’t named! Puts a new perspective on that they might indeed not be able to have some characters because of licensing! I agree that my ideas are still in fact a wishlist, however people stating that Lego shouldn’t remake those characters because they were already released 10+ years ago and are now triple their price are what I’m disagreeing with. I have the Drax figure from the 2017 Gotg set. He blew up in price up to 50 bucks because of his popularity. They recently released an updated version of him. I’m not complaining that instead of thin we didn’t get a brand new yondu or another character like the James Gunn brother character. I’m glad people can get his brand new version without having to spend 50 bucks for the old one. I don’t get that outlook whatsoever and hope Lego doesn’t follow it this March/April)))

I even specifically pointed out that orthanc was selling in 2015. However the rest of the theme was dead then. I was talking about how “they’ve been released” is not a proper excuse for not releasing specific figures 10 years on. I understand how supply and demand works, the prices are still ridiculous. Just because someone bought it doesn’t mean it isn’t ridiculous. My dream set is the imperial flagship. Obviously high demand and low supply but $1400+ is a ridiculous price no matter what way you look at it. I’m not asking for the prices to be cut I’m simply asking for sets and figures to be remade because they’re way too expensive now. I’m not saying that old sets should be msrp that would be foolish, but having them release a decade ago isn’t an excuse to not release them again in the future that is all.

What sets from LOTR apart from Orthanc were on shelves in 2015? Only some desolation of Smaug/bofa sets were on shelves at best until July. Either way it’s been a decade and Lego absolutely should create more sets with remade dwarves. The prices are INSANE currently. Beyond anything reasonable. Quite honestly disgusting, people are forgetting this is a toy at the end of the day.

Once again the sets came out 12 years ago and many current fans do not own them. Who cares about Shire hobbits when we can have modern dwarves. Currently all the dwarves are missing. Some hodge podge hobbit figures that can be built off of pick a brick is not enticing for a $300+ set.
-
How much did Rivendell get? The sword bag, Gimli's helmet, elf hair, dwarf bear piece, and a variety of new pieces that are now used in other sets like the fern piece. Sword bag did contain like 12 I think. Still not as much as all 12 dwarves would take. Who knows maybe Lego will spoil us after all?
-
Hmmm I don't like that one bit. As much as I like the Hobbits I don't need them in different outfits. I'll hope they do ball out and get as the dwarves. We will have to see.
-
Meant to say just for the figures haha)))
-
And have they seen the prices of them? Im not paying 300+ for all the dwarves

Clay please tell us if POTC is on the table please it's all I ask I need to know before I blow the bank on the old sets this Christmas))
-
Right, so you need ALL the sets to say you have the full collection. That's what I'm saying. I can say I have the entire collection and only own the brickheadz. Not how it works. That doesn't count.
-
I don't think it works that way. Rivendell and Baradur are under the Icons umbrella, no? So do they not count. The Brickheadz is listed on brickset and bricklink as well.

[OFFICIAL] One Piece LEGO Theme - PRE-ORDERS
kuzyabricks replied to thewatchman's topic in LEGO Pirates
What??? Where have you heard this? I really hope not, I would only buy for hull pieces at that point -
I really need an imperial flagship. I'm assuming POTC isn't coming back but at the same time a bunch of pirates parts got retired on PAB including imperial uniforms...worrying. This points to licensed sets and there have been 0 rumours of POTC. The goonies ship and BDP are the only things I can think of right now
-
The Gimli and Legolas are the best ones. Gandalf and Balrog are great too. Would love a Boromir and Lurtz or Faramir and Eowyn?
-
I find this so funny. Every time LOTR gets brought you insult the BrickHeadz. It's tiring. Hate to be that guy but your collection is not complete because the BrickHeadz DO count))))
-
I asked him about and he said we will not be disappointed. No chances POTC comes back right???
-
Tandnbricks is pretty reliable. I really think he got this one

[OFFICIAL] BrickLink Designer Program Series 6
kuzyabricks replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
What a disappointment. No pirate stuff at all. Wolfpack set is...alright. Doubt I will pick it up. I hope the creator of the gorgeous frigate will keep submitting, we need it as a set! -
Read the old thread from 2010 about the initial hype and release of the POTC sets. The list of sets being released, the preliminaries coming out, everyone weighing in their thoughts about the sets, first reviews rolling out. I don't remember a theme making me so excited in a very long time. I wish I was older when the theme came out so I could experience that hype and buy all the sets. Nowadays only UCS sets bring anything to the medieval/pirate table. How good we had it. And back then I was just a little kid who loved pirates and only ended up getting the london escape, but I treasured that set and my brick beard's bounty. They were my everything. I was reading the thread and getting so sad realizing how long ago 2011, my childhood, and Lego's golden age (2008-2014 I WILL fight over this) was. I recognized quite a few faces from that thread that are still active today and how maybe in 14 years people will look at this thread the same way. I just miss pirate sets man, no other theme captures the same feeling as pirate sets do for me. I feel like a little kid again pretending to be a pirate. I really hope we get something in 2026(what a scary number) as 2025 seems to be barren for us except for the BDP set in late 2025....Sorry for the rant.

Another non Pirate ship so I can't be bothered

Who are you referring to? Very excited about this rumour. If this arkham is closer to the 2012 one than the 2017 I am immediately sold. I am expecting a TON of barely printed figures and then one super duper detailed nightwing. Bound to happen. The 2012 set is perfect and one of my favorite sets ever but if they pull this off I will be happily buying it.

Heartbreaking to hear. Such a breath of fresh air theme. Going to miss it. That first wave will hold a special place in my heart.
