Lego Icons 10332 Medieval Town Square Discussion Thread
kuzyabricks replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Personally a huge disappointment of a set. Was looking forward to it but lost all interest and I don't think it's worth $200+.Would rather get the 2008 one used for the same price. -

Hopefully the Lego version will satisfy us both! Weak minifigure selection though. As long as a dutchman comes afterwards... -

A bit unexperienced with linking images on eurobricks. I have provided a link. When I was choosing between which model to build for the black pearl, MaroonedMarin's design felt and looked like a lego build but at the same time not too model-looking if that makes sense. It had the best of both worlds. But that is personal preference of course. I attached a link, some of the fan images attached on there are mine. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-152246/Marooned_Marin/the-pearl/#photos -

May be bias but I believe MaroonedMarin's model is a better pearl and more "Lego like". Only buying this new set because it's POTC and I love pirates. Marin's is perfect! -
Yeah let's just shelf a theme that has been around for nearly a decade because we don't like it. I'm truly baffled Lego doesn't hire people from eurobricks, we have some sharp minds here. We need to make sure a Lego recruiter sits in on these conversations, they're missing out.
-
They're really not that bad. They're cute sets and are nice shelf displays. Not everyone was fortunate enough to get the 2012-14 lines. I would love regular playsets but BH are not "the common enemy" here.
-
It's a separate department. Should we just strip away their whole budget just because three people on eurobricks don't like them? The LoTR brickheadz have like three prints per set it's not that big of a deal. They're cute sets and clearly are doing well if they have been around for nearly a decade at this point.

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
kuzyabricks replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Read up on the thread. What happened at Lego in 2020? Was the entire DC department sacked? The only good sets since then are UCS and TDK. Poor Adam Grabowski is carrying the whole theme on his back. I was of the opinion that the 2018/2019 were alright and that Lego had lost the plot a little since the great 2015/16 lines but this is the WORST possible outcome. TDKT still has a ton of ideas to choose from to make sets, TBAS has what, two sets? And now we're getting the Schumacher films??? If Arkham somehow magically turns out worse than the Shadowbox then DC needs to take a break. This is one of the worst treatments of a theme I have seen, I cannot think of one worse. I would rather pay for overpriced sets if they were at least good. Lego's audacity to put two face (most wanted figure from the TDKT) behind the new tumbler is pathetic. I saw one review of that set and decided against what was going to be an insta purchase. I know I'm reiterating a lot of people's points here but I genuinely don't understand what's going on. I would love to see the financial numbers Lego has for batman, there is no way they are that poor. -
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

Wait was the arkham leaked to be based on the 90's Schumacher film? Haven't scrolled in this thread in awhile. If so my want for that set is completely out the window. I don't want a movie tie whatsoever. I want Lego's batman. -
They only gave him to us because he's a hodge podge of random parts and they wanted to use Gimli's beard mold for more than one character. Edit: just found out he has an exclusive face print, maybe they just cheaped out on the torsos or I don't know what I'm talking about)))

Will still defend that first film forever nonetheless. Only major issue I personally have is the ringwraith song during the fight with azog. M4's fan-cut is fantastic though. The prequels are on the same if not lower level I'm afraid. Clone Wars did a lot of heavy lifting for the prequels' reputation. I personally wouldn't mind ROP sets JUST for the fantasy pieces. I have no intent to watch the show but oh man would I love a line of sets, would all be used for my own medieval MOCs and world building but just imagine all those gorgeous orc/troll pieces.... It would be fantastic! They're still wayyyyy below my want for LoTR and Hobbit sets but I would not mind them at all!
-
I feel like history is being rewritten here haha. Prequels have been a joke for a quarter of a century now. They’re sorry excuses of movies except for maybe the third one. As poor as the sequels are only the third one is prequel level. I’m just glad the only bad movie in Tolkien films is battle of the five armies. Ignoring the love triangle, desolation of Smaug isn’t too awful.

September release is being rumored by the leakers. I'm assuming 6+ months until pictures.... Hopefully a figure list sooner than that though -

Agreed! Cotton is somewhat doable from spare parts, marty... not so much. While I have a few figures I would prefer over Jack the Monkey if we had to wait 15 years and most likely pay $300+ for this set why not include him))) However imagine if they include Jack and then skimp out on Cotton's parrot. That would be hilarious -

My main hopes are Pintel and Ragetti. They are extremely hard to accomplish out of existing lego parts. Even started buying lego customs from instagram to have their video game appearance)) -
Wow! That sounds amazing. I hope one day Lego releases a theme that makes me excited enough to pick up the entire line. Really wish I was a bit older during that beautiful Lord of the rings/hobbit release.
-
Haha sorry should have put a /s or something. Was making fun of the fact that the hobbit movies were split from 2 into 3)))
-
Peter Jackson announced hunt for Gollum is going to be 3 movies. Each one is going to have three parts and extended editions of each one. So we're looking at 9 films at 3 and half hours each. Should be plenty of sets)))
-
Time flies! Can't believe Lord of the Rings has been "back" for two years now! Hoping for many more)))
-
One piece pieces just leaked on reddit. One is a very useful hair/bandana combo. Was trying to think of a crewmember that it could fit on the BP but came up short. Maybe one of Jones's crew members? Or a random pirate? What are we all thinking.
-
For some reason I thought it was grey at first and got confused, thank you! My Nazgul custom wears that cape, might have to offer it to Sauron instead)))
-
Looks great, people forget at the end of the day this is still a toy! We should be able to customize it to our liking as much as we want! Where is that specific cape from?
