I really enjoyed the first wave of Monkie Kid. It felt so refreshing and fun. It's up there for me as one of the best waves ever. Dreamzzz didn't deliver on my expectations. I was really hoping for more "castle" elements. Just like Nexo Knights it just didn't scratch an itch. I agree with you about Ninjago. I had some insider points to burn and all the sets were honestly eyesores bar a few.

God I hope the new inhouse theme is good. Dreamzz just isnt for me

That would be incredibly petty of them. Didn’t even consider it but now I’m worried((( Iirc in DMTNT Barbossa has a bit of a different outfit as well. But I REALLY doubt we are getting anything for the fourth and fifth movie any time soon. And the barrbossas from those two films don’t interest me. I actually finished a rebrickable moc last week that adds an additional 1500 pieces to the QAR and it is gorgeous! A bit janky and you can’t place all the cannons but looks great. Around the size of PoBB but like you noted the cabin eats up a LOT of pieces. We will see. I’ve been incredibly lucky, only my Will turner causes issues so far

Right sorry I kind of have the QAR attached to the fourth film. I don't really see a set being released on the fifth movie at all. Maybe on the fourth film. A QAR from the fifth film would stink.

I found out I have quite a bit of insiders points I didn't know about. And yet I have no interest in buying this set. I swore to myself I would buy everything with the LoTR logo from Lego but I just can't bother with this set. I really like the balrog itself but to me it seems at most $60? I have no interest in the book nook and I don't want to spend that much money for a lame backdrop((( If there were more figures I'd be more inclined but I really don't need another Gandalf even though I love the guy. Hopefully there is another D2C around the corner. Got really excited for a second hoping that this was only using pieces from the official set. This costing as much as the shire is unappealing. Bummer.

That wouldn't make much sense though. We never see the battle between the pearl and the QAR in the movie and him in his imperial uniform would be silly if a regular one isnt released. He also never steps foot on the QAR in the film. They simply HAVE to include him in the Black Pearl. Ridiculous otherwise. Agreed. I have custom printed Ragetti and Pintel from the video game which I adore but I want official ones! Also I'm certain we get Jack the money, but I wouldn't hope for much. They will probably just throw in the regular monkey from city sets. Same one as in Eldorado

Maybe...Fourth movie has very mixed reception. Plus I really doubt us getting a QAR before we get a Flying Dutchman. At least I hope we get a Dutchman first, (it's my most wanted set). I might be delusional here but I think there is more figures coming. It would be CRIMINAL to not get a Barbossa for example. What other set would he come in?? (If we're considering that we are only getting ship sets for now). This makes me think we are going to get more figures than listed.

Would love to finally have some representation haha! Now top of my wishlist

Dutchman and maybe uhhhh I'm not really sure. None of the imperial ships are iconic enough. My friends who are mildly interested in PoTC can name the main pirate ships from the theme but doubt they could name any from the rest))) As long as we get a Dutchman that's what matters most. I have been dreaming of one.

Disagree. Enough nostalgia pandering. We barely have enough Lord of the Rings and you can easily take out factions from fantasy and use them for "classic" stuff. Elves, dwarves, goblins, orcs, dragons only add more. Fantasy Era was easily Lego's best castle era.

Well deserved! His MOCs are incredible! Still gush over the black pearl every time I see it on my shelf. This set is a dream come true. Second most wanted set this year after the black pearl.

There are! In Lantern City from 2022 they come in civilian clothes. Atleast Mei and MK do

I don’t think the HP set closes. It has rubber tires on the bottom too for friction which the Sherlock set doesn’t have. Bookends would need it, book book not so much.

Barracuda bay ship is a fantastic example, black pearl...not so much. Probably the ugliest Lego pirate ship made.

I don't agree with his delivery maybe but I agree with his take. I would love more original Lego themes. I'm not saying to get rid of IP sets but I do miss Atlantis/Ultra Agents/Power Miners/ Lego Pirates etc a lot. Like a full theme not a D2C here and there. I'm personally not a fan of Dreamzzz but absolutely loved the first two years of Monkie Kid. Excited to see what will replace Dreamzzz.

Ahhh okay thank you. I built MaroonedMarin's gorgeous Black Pearl and am building simone_ve84's Queen Annes revenge right now. I've been looking for a reasonable sized flying dutchman with instructions and a parts list but alas nothing... The one in game is perfect!! Was looking at a render of it a few days ago actually))) The game is my favorite Lego one.

Wait quick questions for you. Where does it say $200? I have only heard $350+ so far. And can you please elaborate on the flying dutchman rumour? I was not actively online back then))) Just want to know what was being said
