Honestly don't regret keeping mine. We don't know how many more LOTR sets are coming ((((

The Dutchman is INSANE! Love it! I will say I will forever believe that Brick Beard's Bounty is better than the Brick Bounty in almost every way including its name. Still on the fence if I should pull the trigger and piece out the 10210, it's my white whale and it is just so so impressive.

I know, they're beyond gorgeous but I unfortunately have no hope for a remake any time soon (((((( Even though a UCS Dutchman and Black pearl are currently my most wanted sets
-
Very nice! I've thought about parting it out for awhile now but other sets have gotten in the way...even though it is my dream set(((( I''ve ended up just combining two 31120 into a half decent ship, just a bit smaller than the barracuda but I need part out the flagship eventually. Were you against color swapping? I wouldnt mind going for red feathers or something opposed to the blue ones for example)))
-
Uhhh so jealous! I’m planning on doing this eventually as well. Where were you able to get the hull and sails for cheap? As for the masts I would use a bunch of 2x2 round bricks
-
Oh no don't get me wrong it doesn't need a remake because it's not well made it's just we need a new imperial flagship. When the last one was released I was in pre-school. I still want it to this day :(((

I'm sorry but 10210 is in DESPERATE need of a remake and with the rumored Endurance I don't see a new ship any time soon, sad!

For anyone wondering what totally black Barad-dur looks like

The first Hobbit film is great the other two are okay. Still a league above ROP

LEGO 10320 Eldorado Fortress - MOC / MOD Thread

I really like your crane but I must say the one from the set is absolutely awesome. So well designed even if it is quite large. -
Not including Atlantis on that list is blasphemy. However I agree, as much as I love Monkie Kid the original IP sets from the early 2010s were something else. I don't think it was just because I was a kid, but those sets dripped with atmosphere. There was a sense of mystery and not knowing what could come next, what could be lurking in the deep caves of power miners or the trenches of Atlantis. I miss it man.

The issue is that the current viking village is a little too "similar" to Edoras. Heck if my memory serves me right on this very forum someone mentioned converting that set into Edoras. I don't see the village retiring any time soon and I doubt Lego would risk putting out a LOTR set that could fail because of a "competing" set. I agree, building Barad-dur made me realize that minas tirith could infact work. Hopefully they become much cheaper)))))
-
Edoras is nowhere near iconic or recognisable enough to be sold as a UCS set. Minas Tirith or the shire should be and I am certain will be next
-
That's what I'm expecting. A $250-300 Bagend and a 450ish Minas tirith
-
I'm going to put a pause on buying any Lego until the next LOTR set. If two do come out next year I HAVE to get them. Building Barad-dur made me realize just how amazing this LOTR rebirth is. I need them all!!! Only set I might get is that BDP pirate island in a few days.

Just finished building mine. I have never been this amazed by the sheer size of a Lego set. A bit more boring to build than Rivendell but so worth the money spent
-
Sounds amazing! If you ever find a way please do share pictures. I would suggest keeping it more accurate to the films as that is what Lego would do
-
I did not no I was skeptical of the white city being the UCS set next year because of its sheer size but building this beauty made me realize it is doable....We shall see
-
The brickheadz were perfectly fine. They're fun little guys
-
I think this set is selling on par if not better than Rivendell. I truly think there will be a full line up late 2025 or early 2026. Lego can not be ignoring LOTR money and I’m certain this set’s sales will help. I expect a third D2C next year at the least. A local bricks and minfigs is selling the fell beasts for 200 each. How ridiculous is that?! I know they tend to overprice things but that is mindblowingly insane
-
Completely agree, I really like it! Much better than I expected
-
I am first in line my friend. Was for the lions knight castle and Rivendell. I’m taking my risk Our line is way longer than for Rivendell. Insane
-
I want to get it day one and it feels more of an experience to wait in a line. For me it’s a tradition now. Seeing the set in person right now and it’s so much bigger than expected. I was skeptical when I saw Rivendell for the first time as it didn’t seem like a 500 set but this looks like a beauty

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
kuzyabricks replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Easiest choice ever. Griffins seem kind of cool but whoever didn’t vote for Krakens is essentially just trying to deny Lego fans of the coolest castle faction yet. I can not wait to see what it will turn out to be and how they will incorporate the kraken to the castle theme.
