  1. Doomsday already has 27 cast members. Even if, by some miracle, we get 6 sets for it, that would be close to 5 unique minifigures per set. That’s ignoring actors who may yet sign on and the inclusion of henchmen (aka Doombots) and the need to repeat characters. There’s no way we’re getting everyone, and I could definitely see the Thunderbolts getting the axe given how much more popular most of the other characters have been.
  2. They included two seats in the Forever Batmobile. 😭 Lego, who are we supposed to put in there? One of our spare Keaton Batmans???
  3. There was more chemistry between Bullseye and that fly.
  4. Five Jokers > Three Jokers, so fans of that comic should love this set! TBF, he could stand to spend some time fighting his own personal demons. Lord knows he has enough of them.
  5. Nelson, Murdock, and Page/Josie’s. Minifigures include: Foggy Nelson, Matt Murdock, Karen Page, Daredevil, Bullseye, and some civilians. Includes a fun feature where Dardevil can leap off the roof of Josie’s and swing safely around, similar to the function for Spider-Man on the top of the bridge battle set. I’m sure many fans of Daredevil would buy that set for their children.
  6. I may get it on sale if it’s close enough in scale to the others. But just based on the first images, it looks massively out of scale with the rest.
  7. Spider-Man regularly fights Venom, who is literally an alien, and yet he doesn’t have a rocket ship. Why is that? Is he stupid?
  8. I like Peter’s apartment and the train scene actually looks good. Doc Ock is thankfully not that awful NWH version and I actually think the dark brown was the right choice. The rest of the sets are gonna be a pass from me. Oscorp looks fine, but the figures are a mixed bag (Kraven is good, but that’s gotta be the worst Green Goblin we’ve ever gotten).
  9. Kind of a shame that no one wants this set (including me), because it’s arguably one of their best designed sets in years. It’s just not in scale with the other Batmobiles and the figure selection is incredibly lacking (Riddler and Two Face should have been included, but Robin’s exclusion is inexcusable).
  10. It’d be a 100% in character for Doom to see Richards grow a mustache and decide to grow a bigger, better mustache.
  11. Wait… you mean to tell me all these roles weren’t played by the same generic white guy? 🤯 Mustache = smart guy with big ego. That’s just how MCU (and Sonic) works. Expect Dr Doom to show up wearing one of these bad boys: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Carl_Frederik_Holm_(1848)_c_1893.jpg
  12. Marvel’s™️ The Fantastic Four™️ featuring Reed Richards™️/Mr Fantastic™️ minifigure™️ with two brickbuilt stretchy legs, Sue Storm™️/The Invisible Woman™️ minifigure™️ with two brickbuilt force fields, Johnny Storm™️/Human Torch™️ minifigure™️ with brickbuilt flames, and Ben Grimm™️/The Thing™️ minifigure™️ with big hands fighting against Galactus™️ large Lego™️ brickbuilt construction™️ figure made from official Lego™️ bricks
  13. They actually named it “Fantastic Four vs Galactus Construction Figure.” 🤣 Couldn’t just call it “Fantastic Four vs Galactus.”
  14. Galactus looks fine. The build could be better, the arms and legs look kinda blocky, but it’s got the right colors and I like the head and torso. Not a fan of the Fantastic Four minifigures, hopefully we get comic versions of them in the near future. I might pick this up on sale for Galactus.
  15. If they are going to try and jump on popular trends, like action figures, they need to at make the case for Lego action figures over regular action figures. Focus on how since it’s a brick built action figure, you aren’t limited to just posing them and smashing them together. You can customize it however you want. You want Spider-Man with eight arms? Done. Batman with giant bat wings? Go ahead. Hulk with three heads? Who are we to judge? The possibilities are potentially endless. But they don’t focus on what Lego allows them to do, instead they just sell action figures and hope the Lego brand will drum up enough interest. So now they just have overly expensive action figures that need to be put together and fall apart easily warming the shelves.
  16. I think LEGO sees other super hero action figures selling well and thinks “hey, let’s replicate that” without 1) understanding that if kids want an action figure they will just go buy an action figure that doesn’t take half hour to assemble and then falls apart when you bash two of them together 2) realizing they have an equivalent to action figures that is already popular - minifigures.
  17. A cool Galactus minifigure, sure. But knowing Lego he’d have unprinted legs and reuse this head: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3626pb2358&idColor=90#T=S&C=90&O={"color":90,"iconly":0}. Which is coincidentally the same head they’ll be using for Johnny Storm.
  18. More info out in the usual place about the Galactus set. Apparently Galactus is a construction figure and everyone but Reed has the same torso. No leg printing. Their powers are just gonna be represented by things they hold like gorilla hands, orange energy blasts, and trans-clear disks or things you stick on their feet like energy blasts and 1x1x5 bricks. Honestly sounds pretty bad. No idea why Sue has the same torso as Ben and Johnny, much less why they wouldn’t go with a “flame on” version of Johnny. Galactus being what used to be a $30 set is even worse if it really is just him and the figures. $7.50 per minifigure is ridiculous, especially when they all have plain legs and three use the same torso, not to mention probably reused heads. CMF figures don’t cost that much (yet) and they have far more detail. But I guess at least Galactus is not a mech like Antman in the Endgame set, so it could always be worse.
  19. Delayed sets like that are rare. Endgame and No Way Home were the only two and they were both highly anticipated films with huge spoilers. There’s basically zero chance of us getting another set based on this movie in the near future. That said, the Fantastic Four are in Doomsday so maybe they’ll show up in sets for that.
  20. TBH, I’d much rather have a comic version of him over his movie costume, terrific though it may be.
  21. Turtle, reading this thread, seeing us finally come around to his way of thinking.
  22. Looks like prices for summer sets are going to be bumped up in the US. There’s a breakdown in the usual place, but it looks to be around a 5% increase.
  23. Ah, the irony of talking about how bad certain movies and certain themes did in the DC thread of all places. 😝
  24. The big question is, will Lego alternate between the Doomsday wasteland and the Endgame Final Battle, or will we get two desolate wasteland sets per year? 🤔
