  1. They put a prostitute in the film over him.
  2. For most of those characters, or at least the ones I’m familiar with, it’s a one time thing and doesn’t define the character the same way it does Mad Hatter. They all have plenty of stories where they’re not predators. Meanwhile, even when he’s not robbing the cradle, Jervis is typically shown brainwashing young adult women into being with him romantically. So even at his best, he still belongs on a registry. And I think that more than anything is why we aren’t likely to see him. If the modular building line continues for DC and we sets like GCPD, Wayne Tower, Wayne Manor, Iceburg Lounge, or anything Batman related, I could see Mad Hatter, Victor Zsasz, and Professor Pyg being snuck into those the same way Daredevil and Punisher were able to be made by sneaking them into the Daily Bugle.
  3. Oh, no, I’m not saying that only popular characters make it into sets (although that certainly helps) or even that Lego will never put a less popular character in a set over a more popular one. I’m just saying that Nightcrawler is a popular character who was bound to appear eventually (especially with major roles in two projects next year).
  4. Doubt it. Characters appearing in R-rated properties tends to hurt, rather than help, their case. And with Clayface in particular, the only other projects he’s been in recently have been Harley Quinn TAS and Creature Commandos, so it’s not even a case like Joker where, yeah he’s been in mature media, but there’s plenty of other child friendly things. Probably not. Most Easter Eggs in these modular sets have led nowhere. Nightcrawler appearing as an Easter egg in the X-Mansion and now potentially as a minifigure somewhere else just comes down to the character not making the cut for the mansion but being popular enough to appear later (being both promoted to a main character in X-Men ‘97 and appearing in an Avengers movie no doubt helps).
  5. Exabricks just shared a picture of Nightcrawler on his instagram. Looks to be from a Legoized version of Giant Sized X-Men 1, but could be a hint at the character coming next year.
  6. I assume you are talking about Rises, but it would be absolutely hysterical if after skipping over a family friendly movie like Superman Lego decided to make a whole wave of sets devoted to The Dark Knight Returns.
  7. Sure, in the case of Doomsday, it may have been spoiler related (personally, I think Lego just didn’t want to spend the money to make a new bigfig mold). And prioritizing Black Manta over Ocean Master, who was the main villain, is still an odd choice IMO. But Gamora and the High Evolutionary seem to have just been skipped for budget reasons. And, of course, those aren’t the only four examples of Lego skipping main characters. You’ve got Zemo in Civil War. Ego in GotG vol 2. Wong in the first Dr Strange set. You’ve got Scarlet Witch in Infinity War (also Drax and Mantis, but I wouldn’t consider them as playing as essential a role as Wanda did). Silver Surfer in the Fantastic Four. Etc. Which leads into my main point… Lego has shown they’re completely willing to skip over major characters for budgetary reasons, lack of room, or even completely unknown reasons. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think they’d skip over two dark and violent characters who they’re already carefully when putting in a set or just outright avoid altogether, just because now they’re in a PG-13 project. I really doubt Lego wants to deal with the backlash (they’ve canned sets in the past for much less).
  8. January 2026 is just around the corner.
  9. I think Penguin’s monocle is on the wrong side.
  10. Doesn’t seem to be an elavator in this modular.
  11. I also really want to see how this thing connects to other modulars, because right now it’s not obvious. I wonder if that Clayface on the monitor was a minifigure design that went unused, like a not small number of teases in the X-Men Mansion.
  12. Just to add to this, there’s a Dark Knight Returns reference in the magazine on the security guard’s desk. I’ve also got to say, including an office for Harleen Quinzel but not actually including her, per se, is hilarious.
  13. SDCC starts tomorrow and goes through Sunday. It could be anywhere in that time period, but if I had to guess, I’d say either Thursday or Friday.
  14. 2012 is still my favorite, of the ones so far released, mostly because I prefer the all gray color scheme to the brown and gray. But 2025 might take the cake despite that just because it’s a fully enclosed building. 2006 Arkham is definitely a product of its time, but it’s gotta a creepy vibe to it that I really like. The 2017 one just feels like if Friends did a ski cabin that just happens to be a prison. Penguin too. I really like that new white fur piece they have on him. And it’d be nice if that new Ivy wasn’t forever locked behind a $300 pay wall.
  15. Probably an unpopular opinion, but TLBM Arkham is the only bad Arkham we’ve gotten.
  16. They skipped High Evolutionary and Gamora in the GotG 3 wave. In the one Aquaman movie set, they skipped Ocean Master. There was no Doomsday in the BvS wave. Lego has zero problems skipping characters, even when there’s no apparent reason why they would.
  17. I’m skeptical that MCU Punisher or Daredevil would even make it into sets even if they were in a TV-14/PG-13 project. Both are so closely associated with the R/TV-MA ratings at this point, I think it’d be a hard sell with parents. Which is probably why we’re yet to see either outside of the Daily Bugle. And since he always seems to enter into these discussion, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lego had a giant no-Deadpool poster hanging in their office, because he’s not showing up again anytime soon given his reputation.
  18. I wouldn’t put too much stock in a Daily Planet set at this point. And even if it does happen, there’s no guarantee it’d be modular. It could be more of a small facade set like Oscorp. With that said though, something along the lines of Superman (reuse, with red trunk legs), Supergirl (new torso, legs), Mr Terrific (new head, torso), Guy Gardner (new torso), Hawkgirl (new torso, legs), Lex Luthor (reuse), Brainiac (new head, torso), Lobo (new head, torso), Bizarro (new head, torso), Lois Lane (purist), Clark Kent (new head), Jimmy Olsen (purist), Cat Grant (purist), Steve Lombard (purist, Ron Troupe (purist), and Perry White (purist) would cover plenty of Superman (movie and comic) characters and put us at 15 with less new prints than Arkham or the X-Mansion without needing Batman and his villains.
  19. There appears to be some medium nougat round plates laying on the ground where the gate is busted open. Clayface reference?
  20. I just realized something. Last year we talked non-stop about the Aslume. Even turned the forum into the Aslume. Now, we are getting an Arkham set. This year, we’ve talked non-stop about Superman and how much to sucked we aren’t getting sets. Now, we have a rumored Superman set. Somehow, someway we have gained the ability to manifest sets. Next year, I expect y’all to be spamming this thread about a Flash museum, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet. I think it’s partly speculation based on the sticker in Arkham, but it also seems like there’s more to it than just that.
  21. LEGO DC IS BACK!!! Set looks great. Green skinned Ivy, at long last, and she looks great. Building itself looks good. I think another floor would have made it feel a bit more imposing, but otherwise great. Connection points are… not what I expected. There only appears to be one. Unless there’s one on the backside and it’s not meant as an inverted corner. But then theres no sidewalk in front or around it. It’ll be interesting to see how this connects to other sets. Since we got a leak this early, I’m betting a SDCC reveal is very likely. Bane and Killer Croc are also standouts with that oversized barbell and backpack for Bane and the 2008 esque face on Croc. Scarecrow really needed a hat or hood.
  22. Both look great, although I am disappointed Catwoman’s mask mold didn’t make a return. Only thing holding either of these figure back, from what I can tell. Comic Con reveal would make a lot of sense. LEGO DC IS BACK… to giving us all whiplash. This theme dies and resurrects more than Jean Gray. If we do get the Daily Planet, regardless of whether it’s D2C or Oscorp styled, I expect Lex and Superman will be recycled and Supergirl will be included. Jimmy, Lois, and Clark are also probably safe bets as purist figures. Some new villains like Bizarro or returning villains like Zod, Brainaic, or Lobo would also be great. But I consider just getting a Daily Planet set a W.
  23. The Punisher minifigure is based on the comics, not on the TV-MA shows. Echo was originally TV-14, but was changed to TV-MA after the series was already in production. There’s definitely a hard line for R-rated and TV-MA movies and shows. Echo is the only exception and it’s only because Marvel changed the rating on Lego.
