  1. Probably end of this month/beginning of next. One month before release tends to be the norm, at least for retail sets. Lego store exclusive sets tend to be weeks.
  2. We’ve gotten one for the other superhero modulars, so I’d assume this would fit the trend.
  3. That’s a good point. This is LEGO DC we’re talking about. So they’ll probably just use this head for Two Face. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3626pb0704&idColor=90#T=S&C=90&O={"color":90,"iconly":0}
  4. TDK Two Face’s head is generic enough that it could be reused for a comic version of the character. Heck, that might explain why they made his eyebrows the wrong color. 😝
  5. I couldn’t agree less. Hiring James Gunn, the guy who was directly involved in planning phase 3 of the MCU (indisputable their most successful phase) and putting an emphasis on filming projects with good scripts instead of just making movies about certain characters because they’re who fans want to see (ie, the DCEU’s method that led to such great films as The Flash, Joker and Harley er um Suicide Squad, and Justice League) are the two smartest moves WB has made in quite a long time.
  6. There could be more. But I’m also not expecting a five set wave for Doomsday. I’m betting on three, maximum.
  7. So, just to compare to this year, we’ve gotten 16 sets for DC and Marvel in the 1HY, so Lego appears to be cutting back quite a bit. I’m curious what they’ll cut back on. Maybe the mechs? I’m certainly not holding my breath for X-Men ‘97 s2 sets with these numbers. Nor am I expecting much for Doomsday. No way are we getting 6/9 sets based on that. Best case is probably 3.
  8. It’s Lego. You can always combine two to make a bigger one. It’s just a question of how easily you can combine two to make a bigger one. 😝
  9. A DC set with a fair part to price ratio and 10+ minifigures? I don’t trust it! https://tenor.com/bdJix.gif
  10. This time around, the goal will be to assemble one complete team. Either the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts, or potentially even the Avengers assuming they make the cut. 😝
  11. Nah, Lego has done small playsets that feature only a small piece of a much larger building. The Sanctum Sanctorum sets from the first Dr Strange and No Way Home and the Fortress of Solitude from The Lego Batman Movie being perfect examples of that. Not that I wouldn’t prefer a giant Fortress of Solitude, mind you. Yeah, as someone who liked MoS and BvS, I could never stand his die-hard fanatics who kept harping on about how those films were “cinematic masterpieces” and “too big for small minds.” And the whole campaign to release his JL was riddled with so many toxic @$$holes, it was ridiculous. But, with that said, I’d much rather focus on the new universe and my excitement for it and give those people the attention they deserve - none. I agree it’s disappointing to not get any new sets for Superman. Surprising too, since I would have thought Lego would be willing to take the risk with at least one set.
  12. More Superman footage out there. Not much more, but it does give us a new look at the Fortress of Solitude. Really disappointed by Lego’s decision to sit this one out.
  13. Just a little something I’m working on (because Lego hates DC). I hope you like it, Turtle, since you’re now a fan of Bumblebee Man. https://www.instagram.com/p/DH8pCAQu08v/?igsh=MTUyMGR3emR3cG04bQ==
  14. I always wondered why they went with that title instead of X3. https://tenor.com/bLju1iyC6Vn.gif
  15. So I bought this Lex Luthor 2025 minifigure from my wife’s boyfriend who regularly robs the local Lego factory. I was skeptical at first, but now that I have it in hand I can confirm it’s genuine Lego printing and possibly the best $500 I’ve ever spent. Looks like we all owe wakebricks an apology. Superman 2025 sets, here we go!
  16. Of the 9 exclusive minifigures, only 8 were actually had exclusive prints. And 2 of those only had an exclusive torso print. In total, we got 8 new torsos, 5 new heads, and 3 new legs. The X-Mansion from last year, just to compare had 6 new torsos, 5 new heads, and 4 new legs. So the Batcave was comparable to the X-Men Mansion and the only reason it has so many new figures is because they really stretched the budget. Which maybe Lego will do again, I dunno. They certainly haven’t shown much love to this theme lately. IMO, I think we could be looking at 5-7 exclusive minifigures with Batman, Joker, and Mr Freeze at the very least being recycled from other sets. But that’s a best case scenario.
  17. Look at the shoulders. One has printing for the cape, the other does not.
  18. Wakebricks has just posted a third completely distinct Superman 2025 torso. https://imgflip.com/memetemplate/427010213/Bush-Learning-About-911
  19. I love how Lego extended the amount of face printing just to make his mask look super empty. Looks great. I can’t wait to display this alongside my Superman Kaiju, Tower of Fate, and Sunspot.
  20. Honestly, I’d love to see either a Batcave or Arkham Asylum done in this style, ie, a bunch of smaller modules that combine together to make a bigger building. Would be a great way to revive the theme (since people would have an incentive to buy every set) and maybe even get some new characters.
  21. Oh wow. This will look great displayed alongside the Tower of Fate set from a few years back.
  22. There’s also the rumored X-Men movie as well as the second season of X-Men ‘97 (assuming that gets sets), although in the later case they rip the designs right from the comics so you might as well just call them comic based.
  23. It’s probably a cancelled set, seeing as we’ve heard nothing about it from anyone who doesn’t change their “leaks” on a whim.
