DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
psqidexslizer replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
DC is too powerful for just one theme. It needed two just to contain only a fraction of its raw power. RIP Marvelfans, hope you enjoy getting THREE Endgame final battles sets next year and yet still no Ronin. -

Nightcrawler is rumored to be coming in a set next year. No word on whether it’s Doomsday or X-Men ‘97 season 2. Really hoping for the latter so that he would fit with the other X-Men in the mansion and there’d be potential for more X-Men like Jubilee and Cable who aren’t in Doomsday (that we know of). -

Here’s my guess for the minifigure lineup: - Batman (obviously gonna be included) (reused) - Robin (probably Damien, potentially Tim with a hood) - Nightwing - Batwing (already confirmed) - Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) - Spoiler - Joker (obviously gonna be included)(new prison outfit, reused head) - Mr Freeze (same new prison outfit, reused head)(confirmed) - Harley Quinn (same new prison outfit, reuses BtAS head and jester hat) - Poison Ivy (yellowish green skin) - Scarecrow (alternate head for unmasked Jonathan Crane) - Mad Hatter -Harleen Quinzel (purist) -Hugo Strange (purist) -Generic Guard -

That’s just the standard head for all superhero characters. 😝 But, in all seriousness, leaked minifigures usually aren’t 100% correct. Most likely scenario is some factory worker saw these legs and torso, assumed they were for a Batman figure, and just grabbed the head, torso, and cape they thought should go with it. -

Lego DC is officially back… until the winter 2026 list leaks and the theme is dead again. -

Not entirely sure what you’re talking about (since Instagram is absolutely terrible for following leaks now that you can’t sort by new). If it’s this one, it’s a fake. https://www.instagram.com/p/DCkN-2Nhc_s/?igsh=MXdqemlsdDJpNHg5eA== -

Lego will probably pull another Endgame and just keep releasing at least one set a year based on the film for the next decade (and still leave some notable absences). But a CMF would go a long way towards helping cover the roster. Plus, we get a new Marvel CMF every two years, so it’d be set to release right between Doomsday and Secret Wars. -

My guess is the next CMF will be used to cover some of the characters from Doomaday and Secret Wars. (As much as I’d love for it to cover X-Men 97 instead, I don’t see that happening). -

I’m going to be incredibly bold with next year’s predictions. Winter GL Mech with Hal and John 4+ Batcycle with Batman and Catwoman BtAS Batcave with Batman, Robin and two new villains (likely Two Face and Poison Ivy) Summer comic styled Batmobile reusing figures from this years Arkham Fortress of Solitude with Superman, Supergirl, Lex, Krypto, and Bizarro UCS Bat-Pod with Batman, Bane, and Catwoman -

Most movies don’t get modular tie-ins when they first release. Dr Strange 2 was the only exception, and that set doubled as an Infinity War tie-in. -

If Lego covered the set they’ve been covering others these past few years, we’d have gotten: Superman vs Kaiju: includes Superman and Kaiju If they covered it the way they covered sets 5-10 years ago: Superman vs Hammer of Bolivia: includes Superman, Lois Lane, buildable Hammer of Bolivia Justice Gang vs Kaiju: includes Superman, Kaiju, Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Mr Terrific, and T-Ship Fortress of Solitude: includes Superman, Krypto, Superman robot x2, Lex Luthor, Engineer, and Ultraman -

By big five, I mean the five big franchises for DC (excluding team ups) and core members of the JL: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern. Joker and Harley fall under the Batman umbrella and Aquaman is probably a close sixth. He’s just not as essential of a JL member as the rest and Super Friends did a lot of damage to his reputation. Even if Superman does Avengers numbers, they couldn’t release sets until 2027. At that point, the sequel would probably already be in production (given it’s currently being written and is allegedly Gunn’s next project). Odds are Lego will just wait for that film and strike while the iron is hot instead of trying to cash in on a movie that released two years prior. -

Great news about Wonder Woman getting a film and Superman getting a sequel. It is disappointing that Flash is the only member of DC’s big five not to have a project in development. Then again, it could be worse. -

A 30 year old film that has, at best, a cult following, but is otherwise pretty universally seen as the second worst Batman film ever made. (I say this as someone who likes the film and would put it over Batman ‘89, The Dark Knight Rises, and The Batman. So even as maybe one of this films biggest defenders, I am baffled.) And the Batmobile is out of scale with both the minifigure scaled Batmobiles AND the UCS Batmobiles, making it an easy skip for anyone looking to complete either of those collections. And it only includes one minifigure, so it’ll be hard for minifigures collectors to justify picking it up. Plus, it’s the only Schumacher Batman movies minifigure ever released, so it’s not like it would even goes towards completing a collection of those characters. (A collection that is unlikely to ever be completed to anyone’s satisfaction, btw, since I can’t imagine we’ll see even the main characters all made in LEGO form. So it’s not like many people who actually are fans or completists would want to pick this up to start that collection). Greenlighting this set and not making a single set for the new Superman movie may just be one of the most bizarre decisions Lego has ever made. -

Ooh, maybe the date is a hint at the other characters. The 9th. Cats have 9 lives. Catwoman is included. September. Earth, Wind, and Fire did a song called September. Poison Ivy, Kite Man, and Firefly. Date clues = Calender Man Riddles = Riddler It does not release on Batman day. Maybe Batman isn’t included?! So the minifigure line-up so far is: KG Beast, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Kite Man, Firefly, Riddler, and Calendar Man. -

Probably not. Most D2C sets are officially revealed two weeks out, some less. It’ll probably be sometime between August 25th and September 1st. Lego also sometimes reveals these sets at big events, like SDCC, or to coincide with important days. I also find the September 9th date interesting since Batman day is the 20th of that same month. Kinda surprised Lego wouldn’t just release it then. -

The year is 2030. I awaken in the dark, cold alone and frightened. My hands restrained by cold metal rings fastening me to the table below. They can move very little, but it is enough to feel the scar on my side. Must have been a kidney; my liver was taken a month ago. I cry out in the darkness for answers. A raspy voice replies. “Don’t you remember? You clicked on the Batman tab on Lego shop at home.” “Don’t you mean Lego DC?” Then, it begins, that terrible tsking of tongue on teeth. “Seems we took a bit too much off the top.” -

Honestly, I just find all the figures in that set to be underwhelming, at best. I’m not a fan of the live action designs to begin with. The lines make it look like the team is wearing sweaters, and the Lego print only makes that worse. The blue is too light, IMO. And I don’t like how the amount of white isn’t consistent across every team member. Lego also just chose the laziest way to capture each member. Reed should have had either those rubber arms or the longer Avatar arms and legs. Sue should have had a unique female torso. Johnny should definitely have been in flame-on mode. Those hands do not work for The Thing and I can’t say I’m a fan of the full costume for him. The trunks alone really conveyed his massive size and how abnormal he was. Hopefully we get comic based versions of the 4 sometime in the near future. I’m not a fan of the MCU costumes in general, especially when they get translated into Lego, and these are no exception. And before anyone points it out, yes I am aware this is the DC thread. But there’s nothing to discuss except a Schumacher Batmobile that appeals to no one and an Arkham set that won’t leak for a couple of months. -

First it was stickers instead of printing on parts. Then it was reusing the same unisex torso for every character. Now we gotta think of new ways to screw ourselves over. SMH, Lego has really gotten lazy.
