The biggest issue with the Green Lanterns is their own lack of imagination. They’ve got billions of life forms to pick from and yet they’ve got six or seven humans on the team? And the best of the lot is a guy who crashes planes for a living. And the next best GL is a purple alien who read 1984 and made it his entire approach to being a GL (unsurprisingly, he turned evil). Doesn’t seem like they’re recruiting the most creative and imaginative people out there.

Yeah, until someone more reliable can confirm any of this, I’m just gonna assume these leaks are fake.

It’s the same guy who got leaked that Flash tracking set and Flash minifigure, which is the only reason I’m entertaining it. And sure, he was the guy behind the last Superman minifigure “leak.” But, in all fairness, he never claimed that one was a leak. People just jumped to conclusions and he had to debunk it. I have no idea where the minifigure would show up if it is. Maybe Lego is going to release a polybag to tie-in with the movie? 🤣

Wakebricks on instagram has a Superman 2025 minifigure leak he’s “not sure if it’s fake or not.” I’d wager it’s fake given everything else we’ve heard about Superman 2025 sets and he’s not exactly a reliable leaker.

The nicest thing I can say about Leto’s Joker is he saved Joker 2 from being the worst thing to happen to the character.

He still looks better than Leto’s take on the character.

Sure, but at least it’s not Joker or Batman. We’ve gotten so many versions of those two over the years that Bricklink sellers are willing to pay you to take them off their hands.

Hear me out: Arkham is actually just 10 Batmobiles and they all combine together to make one really big Batmobile and the 10 minifigures are all Batman.

After seeing the Beauty and Beast set with its ‘10’ minifigures, I really hope the 10-15 minifigures included in Arkham aren’t all brickbuilt gargoyles.

They should just do this whenever a character dies in a comic book related property. Oh, Superman died again? Well, jokes on you. He’s got a fifth secret twin who is also named Clark Kent and who just happens to have super powers and personality.

IMO, Spider-Man would make the most sense to be their new lead, but Tom Holland is filming The Odyssey at the same time and he’s supposed to film another Spider-Man by next summer, so just from a scheduling standpoint I don’t think they could make it work.

So what’s the catch here? Sure, the set is expensive and the ppp is kinda high, but surely that can’t be it? There’s gotta be something terribly, horribly wrong with this set.

Lego should probably stick to dioramas of scenes that don’t require more than 9 minifigures and don’t take place on a big, grey, mostly-empty landscape.

Ah, gotcha. Still makes me wonder why there’s three supposedly coming in April. Usually Lego only does 2, unless that’s changed and I just haven’t been paying close enough attention. And since DC is dead, that makes this the perfect forum to ask this question in.

Wait… Krusty Burger is also releasing in April? So that means Bag End, Beauty and the Beast castle, the Western River steamboat, and Krusty Burger are all releasing in April. Either Lego has no problem releasing 4 D2C sets in a month or someone mixed up some dates.

Sure, the Netflix shows referenced the elements of a larger Marvel universe but that was it. And the MCU never referenced them. Until Born Again got a complete creative overhaul and brought back Karen, Foggy, and Bullseye, it was clearly going to be a reboot and not a continuation of the original series at all that just happened to reuse some of the casting from the Netflix series. Heck, as recently as 2019 Feige said the Netflix shows weren’t canon. Yeah, the reason DC films did so poorly after Snyder left is because the DC brand was damaged by his films. BvS had a massive, record setting, opening weekend. But the legs were terrible. It had a record breaking second weekend drop off and failed to cross a billion. The first film to open to over $400M WW and not cross a billion. JL was the immediate follow up and the opening weekend was abysmal. The only reason it did as well as it did was because it actually had decent legs ?much better than BvS’s). Sure, WW and Suicide Squad did well, but there was also a lot of hype for Harley Quinn’s first film appearance and Wonder Woman’s first film that really helped those films make bank. No one cared to see Shazam or another Suicide Squad movie and the DC brand was damaged, which is why they did so poorly. As for this idea that the universe would have done better had WB not interfered with Snyder’s plans, just ignoring his ideas of killing Dick Grayson and having Batman and Lois hook up, he was pushing for R-rated, longer versions of the films we got. Regardless of any question of quality, long movies do worse at the box office and R-rated movies do worse at the box office. If WB hadn’t forced him to cut his movies into shorter, PG-13 versions the box office returns would have been much worse.

$400 for less than 3000 pieces?! That’s not as bad as The Hoopty, but still, that’s bad.

We’re not even one film into this new universe. Prior to the release of Iron Man, we had no idea they were building up to anything whatsoever. It wasn’t until after that film that they announced Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers (and then moved the dates around multiple times). We have a general sense of what films and series are coming out, who will be involved in this story, and some hints about what the overall story will be. Comparatively speaking, we know a lot about what is happening. We just don’t know how it all fits together, which we’ll get a better sense of once we actually have more than one project to go off of. As far as the recasting and what is and isn’t canon, Gunn is keeping the characters he cast and the movie and shows he already made but will be making minor changes because obviously he’s no longer bound by the canon of the old universe. I really don’t understand why that’s so confusing for people especially when no one is batting an eye with Daredevil and the other Netflix shows being integrated into the MCU in basically the same way.
