  1. Thanks! Yes, I was thinking about doing a Bat+Cat one too, as well as one with Aang and Katara and one with Harry and Ginny, but there were a few problems with those: I already did a Batman themed photo and wanted to keep variety. Aang's stupid smile completely ruined the mood of the picture. I can't find Ginny! And now it's kind of too late to be doing Valentines Day themed photography. Oh well, maybe next year.
  2. I'm on one of the US servers. Not sure which one though, sorry. You're not "lame", you just have to adjust the space between the two handles by pulling out the one in the back a bit. Yeah, that's true from a minifigure standpoint, especially if you don't count droids as minifigures.

  4. True, I guess, but that could be said about any sequel. I think it was so well crafted and rounded out the story so nicely that it's a worthy addition to the series. Yes, it was a bit more depressing than the other two, but it was also more mature. One of the great things about the Toy Story series is that it matured with its audience. Kids who grew up with the first Toy Story are at about the same age as Andy now, which makes the movies relatable, while newer generations can enjoy it as well. In fact, TS3 wrapped up the story so nicely that as much as I love Toy Story, I don't think I'd want them to make another sequel. And a prequel just wouldn't work simply because Buzz wouldn't be in it.
  5. Wreck-it-Ralph is from Disney Animation Studios, not Pixar, and neither is Paperman. But yes, they were both great. I'd say that Disney is doing better than Pixar at the moment. Let's see if Monsters 2 will change that. And you didn't like Toy Story 3? What's wrong with you?!?
  6. Nice idea, but this index is far from complete. So far it only covers the last two years. You are still missing PoP Month, Batman Month, and the Design your own Indy Movie Contest for example. Once this is complete, it will make a nice resource.
  7. Now that's what I call good news, everyone! Wow, 2nd place in two contests! I am quite honored considering how great all the other entries were! Thanks to everyone who voted for me, and congrats to my fellow winners. And special thanks to Si and everyone who made this great month possible!
  8. Better than the last trailer or the last movie? 'Cause I wouldn't judge a movie by its trailer (I still can't make out what exactly the story is), but yes, this movie looks fun. Can't wait to see another truly funny Pixar movie (which we haven't seen since Ratatouille)! Thanks for sharing.
  9. No worries, we're all excited about it. I just don't think it's very useful since energy powers don't make your arm transparent, and it's only one arm. Maybe it could work for someone like the Invisible Woman?
  10. But those are gray. For Storm, I think the most important thing is that the hair should be white. The second hairpiece did come in white in one of the Agents sets, but it had green stripes in it.
  11. Hm, that's disappointing, seeing as they could have easily made it two separate pieces. I guess the closest hair piece would be Dori's then. Or you could just put a white 1x1 plate on her head and pretend it's her old mohawk.
  12. Yeah, but only for that one second where he transforms. That comment is getting a bit old, but yes, it is, and it's printed too. Not sure how useful it is though. True, but you'd still need his silly headdress.
  13. Haha, that's one ugly MODOK! By the way, I noticed that there are lots of useful minifig parts in the summer sets! For instance: Adi Galia's head + Saruman's hair = Storm! And I'm sure this head will be useful too. Any suggestions?
  14. Not bad. I really like Amon, but young Zuko looks too happy and girly to me. Nice Fire Nation crowd though. I had no idea you had made so many already! As for new ideas, I've always wanted to see a complete model of the Drill in micro-scale using the Power Miners drill pieces. Perhaps you could do it? There are also several locations from LoK you could recreate.
  15. That's what I first thought too, but he says it again later when rallying the people. He says: "These weapons are loud and clumsy" or something like that and goes on to say that batarangs are better. As for Joker, as I said, I haven't read the comic, so I can't comment on that, but I try not to think about sexuality when I think about Batman anyway, a man who goes on activities with teenagers in tights at night... And yes, I also liked the bit about Superman. He got what was coming to him.
  16. No, that's not how you spell satellite. Are you talking about the Watchtower? Also, we already have Batman and a Manbat, so why would you want a set with them? There are so many better sets the Flash could appear in. I for one hope they do a Flash vs. Gorilla Grodd set with another hero thrown in, but this is not the place to discuss set ideas. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. What makes you say that? That looks like a completely different design to me.
  17. No, he doesn't. Not in the show this is based on.
  18. I got one today too. Great little gift. I wont use it as a key chain in order not to damage it, but I wont sell it either. I'll keep it in my collection until I find a use for it. There must be something one can do with an awesome chrome red minifig! Brickset reports that these were sent to "the most active and engaged VIP members based on a list of criteria including purchase frequency". I spent over $700 at the Lego Store in the past year with 1 or 2 purchases every 1-2 months. It seems that this met the criteria. Anyway, thanks to TLG for this nice gift!
  19. Yeah, the part about Joker was fine and good since, as you said, he seemed to just want to severely injure Joker, but the part about the gun is a whole different story. Not using a gun is one of Batman's most important personal rules and one of his most defining features. They made such a big deal out of it in the DCAU and other portrayals that it seems odd here that he would just pick up a gun and shoot it just to avoid capture, even if he was just shooting at an object. The way I see it, Batman would never use a gun, no matter how tired, grumpy, or irritated he is, because it's the thing that killed his parents and scarred him for life, not simply because they're "clumsy". But maybe you're right, maybe he was past the point of caring at that point. After all, even in the DCAU the old Bruce Wayne is a lot more bitter and ruthless than his younger self or Terry, and I think that Bruce was partly based on the one from this story.
  20. My opinions on these are very similar to others here, but I'll voice them anyway: 76008 - This... ugh, this is just terrible. These versions of Iron Man and Mandarin both look stupid, and that vehicle just looks ridiculous. I mean, Mandarin looks like a friggin bum! I will probably still get it for completeness sake, but it will not be a pleasant purchase. 76007 - This looks better. The repainted Deadpool chopper is forgettable, but the mansion is actually quite nice. It's far from accurate, but as a playset, it does its job well. It's recognizable enough from the exterior and has enough details to define the interior. My favorite bit is the robot arm with what appears to be the Mark V suitcase! Tony and Pepper are great, and Mandarin looks better here too, although his hair still seems off. One of the Hobbit dwarf beards or a completely new hair piece would have been better, but oh well. Can't tell who the other guy is supposed to be (it can't be Eric Salvin since his name on the box is much longer). Also, I guess we now know where the Rescue rumors came from: Apparently Pepper hops into the Mk. 42 armor and saves Tony. A bit disappointing, but not a big shock. Overall I look forward to this set. 76006 - Love it! The speedboat looks great, and I'm even quite satisfied with the solution they came up with for War Machine's gun. It looks fairly accurate and is even posable. Definitely one of the better $20 Super Heroes sets.
  21. Okay, thanks for the clarification.
  22. I dunno, it could be if you build a scene or vehicle from another theme in the style of Fabuland.
  23. So only official Fabuland figs are allowed? Even for the crossover and story contests?
  24. Ah, that makes a lot more sense, thanks. One more question: Does our story have to be in the same innocent tone as Fabuland or can it also be about something like, say, murder?
