Interesting. Well, they can't be worse than the holiday special, right? I'm imagining something along the lines of the Ewok movies, except, you know, actually good, hopefully. And if they do make a movie about Yoda, I could imagine it being similar to Lego's Yoda Chronicles. Hopefully they wont break the rule about not showing anything about his backstory though.

Hm, good idea. That would make it a display piece like the SW planet sets. I think it would be really great, though, if someone would use these two sets to make a forced-perspective picture! Anyway, here are some more funny pictures from me: Gangsta by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr The Big Bad Werewolf by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Space Pimping - Cuz regular pimping just aint cool enough. by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr As you can see, the Space Villainess wasn't always the well-respected queen of the alien armada.

Since I don't have any Fabuland figs, the best I could do is to dress up my sigfig in an animal suit. And so, meet Oky the Bunny! Before and After:
-
Just saying that the few people who are lucky enough to have Fabuland sets will have an advantage in all these contests, but I guess the same could be said about any themed month. And I don't know what you're talking about; of course I have to participate! Same here! Well, technically none of the contests require you to use any official Fabuland figs or parts, just to make it Fabuland themed, so I think you can be creative and use anything you like, as long as it fits inside the theme. For example, the Legends of Chima figs and most of the other anthropomorphic animals from other action themes could pass as Fabuland characters with some slight modifying.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion

If he does, I wonder how many pieces he's going to cut him into this time to make sure that he doesn't return again. -
Neat contest! Just one question: What does "GAL" stand for?
-
Hm... this will be tough without any photoshopping. Can we at least edit in speech bubbles and such? Also, can the 5 pictures be composed of multiple pictures/panels like a comic book page?
-
Hehe, well, this was inevitable I guess. Although it is a bit unfair since many don't have Fabuland figs or parts, myself included. Oh well, I'll see what I can do! Loving all the hues of green by the way. This is certain to be a fabulous month!

Awesome entries everyone! I was considering to enter too, but after seeing the incredible standard of the entries, I didn't bother. Anyway, here are my votes: 5. Duh-Nuh - madLEGOman - 1 point 15. Chicken Moonbase - vecchiasignoraceppo - 1 point 17. Attack of the Fish - cmaddison - 1 point 22. Pigs VS Cows - Ninja Nin - 1 point 37. rEvolution - zane_houston - 1 point Honorable mentions go to gilcelio and Stormbringer who also had very impressive entries, but they felt more like regular Sci-Fi MOCs with the humans substituted by animals rather than MOCs created specifically for those animals. Sorry.

19. ROOK - 1 point (very clever conversion) 35. aemil - 1 point (great Wall-E!) 49. Masked Builder - 1 point (Not sure why, but seeing Tauriel in a pink space suit toting ray guns is both awesome and hilarious) 56. Cerator - 1 point (very Futurama-espue. Me like. ) 64. Tohst - 1 point (The mere fact that this is part of your MSFC entry is brilliant, but seeing how it also looks like a robotic version of the default EB avatar makes it even better!) Great avatars everyone! By the way, here's my old avatar in case you still want to add it to the first post, Si-MOCs:

Single Pane Action Theme Funnies
Oky replied to Amset-Rah's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm flattered, guys, but this is not a contest. Everyone is doing a great job at these funnies! And yeah, I guess Obi-Wan does look more like Chuck than this guy. Still, with that hat, he's pretty close. -
Well, at least the DC animated movies are still very good... As for USM, I agree with most of what Tanma said. The humor is overused and therefore takes away from the tension, especially during those freeze-frame moments, almost as if the show's creators think that kids couldn't handle an uninterrupted tense fight scene and feel the need to jingle keys in front of their nose every once in a while, so to say. And yes, usually when Spidey jokes around, he does it mostly to unnerve himself, not just to entertain the viewer, but in this show the humor is directed straight at the audience. It just doesn't seem like Spidey and cheapens his image. If they wanted to make a Marvel show where the main character constantly interrupts the show to break the fourth wall in order to tell a joke, they may as well have made a Deadpool show (which wouldn't have been a bad idea actually, considering he could use some exposition before he gets his own movie and videogame). I also don't like how they change the origin and identity of many of Spidey's well-known villains. It's OK if they change some stuff around, but completely changing everything we knew about his rogues gallery is unnecessary and probably confuses kids. There's also not a whole lot of continuity or character development which made previous Spidey cartoons so great. I could go on, but I think I'll leave it at that. It's not a terrible show, but it's definitely not good either.

Oh my gosh, this... this is hilarious! All those facial expressions, those page designs... just great. And it has a very good moral too! Really nice work, Kiel, keep it up!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Oky replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I agree. While I do think that Maul has proven how cunning he is by taking over Mandalore, I really disliked the part about him begging for mercy. He may have respect and perhaps even fear for Palpatine, but if he was really a true Sith as he was making himself out to be, he should have at least taken his defeat like a man. Yeah, I was surprised by that as well. They also could have had Obi-Wan say: "You don't need to see an authorization code" instead of knocking the Mandalorian out. I guess they didn't want to overload the episode with lame movie references. Yes, they are. We probably wont get the captain with the horns, but the regular kind will be great to have nonetheless. He has had that redesign since the beginning of the season. As for character deaths, somehow I don't think Ahsoka is going to die in this next arc. They wouldn't make a whole 4-part arc about her trying to prove her innocence just to have her die in the end. She may end up going into hiding or something, but I don't think she will die. Rex and Asajj are much more likely to die during this arc in my opinion, but we'll see. -
Don't you mean Green Hornet? I know, it's easy to get confused with all those green guys running around in the superhero world.

Indeed, it was great. I saw it the day it came out, but forgot to post about it here. These DC animated movies have been great lately and I can't wait for their next releases, Superman Unbound and Flashpoint!

Thanks. Webb's head and hair are both from Madame Hooch. Ironic, aint it? Yeah, I actually prefer it that way too, but I thought it would be more accurate this way since most of her arm is white. And yes, that's what I was referencing.

Single Pane Action Theme Funnies

You guys are really trying to milk that tequila joke, huh? Although I have to admit, that's a very nice MOC. Bwahaha! A treasure hunters self-help group! Brilliant! I also have a funny regarding the Atlantis keys: And have you ever wondered why there are dinosaurs in modern times in the Dino theme? Well, looking at a certain minifigure, I think I found an explanation: Because, you know, he enjoyed it so much the first time. The following are pretty old as I posted them in another thread, but I guess it couldn't hurt to repost them here. Old School by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Rivaling Agencies by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Diamonds are Lego's Best Friend by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr -
The first four are pretty good, as obscure as they may be! But MODOK just doesn't work with a regular sized head. Here is the Madame Webb I was suggesting earlier, plus Arachne, the second Spider Woman: Madame Webb & Arachne by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr And here's my Rorschach together with Deadpool. Is it just me or does the Dolphin Cruiser look very similar to my Friend Ship? Anyway, it's a very nice set, and so is the school. Not too excited about any of the other sets. The Downtown Bakery is too similar to the City Park Cafe for my taste (no pun intended).

Thanks for the kind comments everyone! Loving all your Futurama references!

Hm, I'd say... 76/99/69 There sure were a lot of entries! Possibly the most successful themed month ever!
