6857 Funhouse Escape: Any interesting modifications?
Oky replied to Scorpiox's topic in LEGO Licensed
You could: extend the roller coaster rails. add more wacky funhouse stuff like a slide, spinning tunnel, mirrors, etc. add more death traps. add an office for Joker and maybe some sleeping quarters in the back. just watch some episodes of Batman: The Animated Series with the Joker in it. You'll get plenty of ideas from his hideouts in that show!- 12 replies

Haha, thanks Doc! This might help.

Well, looks like the last batch kinda failed. Hopefully you guys will like these better: Count Saruman by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Kryptonian Sub by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Endor Forest Maiden by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr

Thanks. And yeah, kinda. I always prefer using the actual fig rather than photoshopping it in, but I just don't have the money or space to buy every set/minifig I want right now.

Thank you! And yes, I like to think my childhood was pretty good. New batch: Costume Updates by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Seeing Red by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Widow of Steel by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr

Thanks for the nice pictures, Grogall, and thanks for merging the two threads, Cornelius! What do you mean? As far as I know, about every theme uses atypical colors, except maybe Creator, City, and Technic, but that's because those are trying to maintain the classic Lego feel I think. Perhaps, or Disney's Trains, which could be their answer to Thomas the Tank Engine. Of course there is a distinction. That's like saying Batman & Robin is the same as The Dark Knight just because they're both made by WB.

Yes, the official announcement says that that's the current title, and I don't think that would be the only thing they would have shown at the end of the teaser if it wasn't the title. And I'm not saying it's unusual, I just think it's an odd decision given the history of the franchise. But if they truly intend this to be a reboot, I guess it makes sense. If it is a reboot, I just hope they don't change any of the gameplay since that's one of the major things that made these games so popular.
-
Well, that was certainly a cool teaser. But I must say I am surprised that they titled it Battlefront. I mean, that puts so much expectations on this game that the developers may not want. And why is it just called "Star Wars Battlefront" again and not Battlefront 3 or some other subtitle? Is it supposed to be a reboot? Would make sense I suppose. Either way, I just hope they will have a PC version of this one too. I could never get into the console versions of the previous titles.

Indeed I have. Thanks to him for the idea! I am very glad he is doing those!

Thanks everyone! Thank you, and welcome to EB! I know this is a bit off topic, but what did you not like about the movie? I know it's quite depressing, but I thought it was a very good adaption of the musical. Thanks everyone! No problem, glad you like it. Well, Hawkeye did get possessed as Hulk_Smash said, and this is a licensed themes funny, so unlicensed themes don't count. And I disagree on Malfoy. He may have been a reluctant villain, but still a villain. He followed Voldemort's orders right up to the end. That's definitely not "fine" in my opinion and I think him and his family got off the hook far too easily, but whatever. Sorry if the joke didn't work for you, but it wasn't my idea anyway.

Yeah, him and Jace Malcom are the exception to the rule.

Here's a funny that I got asked to do a lot on Flickr: Eight Face by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr And here are some funnies featuring the Man of Steel: Hood-El by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr This one was suggested to me by Leewan. Well, sort of. This is as clear as I can put it: TDKR Bane looks like helmetless Vader: I suppose you're right that the same cannot be said for their minifigures since Vader doesn't have his breathing apparatus printed on his head, but I thought people would still get the joke. Not one of my strongest funnies, I guess.
-
Thanks, but it's not actually an actor reference as Samuel Jackson did not play Rhodey (he plays Nick Fury). Anakin is just being racist by assuming that a black guy with a lightsaber must be Mace Windu. No, the joke is that Bane looks like Vader with his helmet off. The "Darth Bane" title was just a lame pun.

All the summer sets are now available at S@H UK. No sign of them anywhere else as far as I know.

What a lame excuse. There is a million things you could have built. Admit it, you were just being lazy. Anyway, in case you missed them, here are my Grievous entries:

Thanks again everybody! Glad you like it! Ah, thanks for that comparison! Yes, it seems Andrew has a more girly figure than Peter. Maybe that's also why the Friends like him better than me? Yes, that would definitely be an easy way to solve that issue. The only downside would be that you can't put anything on the window ledge, but I don't think that would be much of a loss. True, but that's kind of what I was going for since I wanted it to look cute. Maybe the propeller is supposed to be hidden under that platform? But yeah, it does seem a bit unsafe... Next in the Friends theme: Heartlake Hospital! Yes, it definitely is the same mold and color. That's why I said he has Surfer hair. Wouldn't that make Andrew more appealing? Hm, good point. Compared to sets like Brickbeard's Bounty or the Black Pearl, it certainly seems like a much better deal. Maybe it's because the Pirate ships have more large pieces like masts and sails, plus a lot more minifigs? Who knows, but you definitely get your moneys worth with this set! I wonder why some people voted this set as "poor"?

It's just Hulk confusing Chunk for the Thing from the Fantastic Four since they are both orange rock monsters. And yes, the Plankton one is based on that episode where he gathers all his cousins to help him steal the formula which turns out to be a fake. Glad someone caught the reference! Wrong. That's the third one.

Yeah, sorry, but that's a pretty big fail. Nobody has seen the Lone Ranger yet, so even if you would have used the right character, nobody would have gotten the joke unless they read the IMDb page as well. Nice try though. Hehe, now this is a nice one! Kinda surprised that I hadn't thought of that. In the videogame, that's easy. All the characters move like they're made out of rubber instead of plastic already anyway, so for Mr. Fantastic they'd just have to have him stretch. Maybe he'll have a targeting feature like the batarangs where you can select up to three objects and he'll stretch out his arm and punch them. Now, in real-life sets, that would be a different story...

Well, at least we now know that Torch wont be replaced by HERBIE. Yes, I do realize these two were kind of no-brainers, but it's always good to get confirmation from the developers.
