  1. Garviel was walking through the jungle toward the spot where he and Adam had been trapped by the fire. He was calling Adam's name over and over on the way, but there was no answer. Suddenly, Adam appeared behind some trees. He had a strange expression on his face. "Adam!" said Garviel relieved. "Where were you? We were getting worried!" "Oh, I just got held back by some clankers. But I took care of them. Nothing to worry about." "Good," said Garviel, "Well, come on, we have to get back to the Ewok village and help the others fight the remaining droids!" "Alright, what's the plan?" "Jifel fired some improvised missiles at the CIS base. If there are any droids left, they'll be on their way here" explained Garviel. "Good work, commander," said Adam, "Let's go!" "Commander?" asked Garviel confused "Since when do you call me..." But Adam acted as if he didn't hear him and ran off toward the village. What was that about, wondered Garviel for a moment, then he dismissed his suspicions and followed Adam. Meanwhile, Oky, Jim, and the others had taken position around a small clearing which lay on the path between the blown-up separatist base and the Ewok village and were waiting for the droids to come through. And sure enough, after a while, the small force of remaining droids marched by. When they were all within the clearing, Jim yelled "NOW!" and everyone opened fire on the droids until none of them was standing anymore. The group emerged from their hiding spots. "Good job, guys," Jim complimented the others. "What now?" asked Pr0. "Well, first of all we need to - Wait... What's that noise?" They heard quick footsteps closing in. "More clankers?" asked Thok concerned. "No, look, it's Rex, Storm, and their men!" said Oky Wan. The clones entered the clearing and Rex walked up to Jim and reported: "Mission accomplished, Sir!" "Well done, Rex, as always," said Jim "Now let's get to the village and regroup with the others." "Wait!" said one of the clones and stepped forward. "I collected the communications memory chip from the base. I thought it might be useful." He held up the chip. "Good work, trooper," said Oky Wan and took the chip out of the clone's hand. He took out the compact holoprojector that he had used back in the separatist bunker on Utapau to fool the battle droids on their last mission and inserted the memory chip. He played the most recent message that was stored on it and a holographic image of Count Dooku appeared who said: "To all droid forces: Republic spies have been reported to have landed on this moon. See to it that they do not get near my position at all costs! I will be in Jungle Sector 15. Dooku out." The holo-image disappeared. "Aha! Now we have a clue!" said Oky Wan. "Yes," said Jim, "but still, let's regroup first before we proceed." They were just about to walk off toward the Ewok village, when suddenly battle droids marched into the clearing from all sides, surrounding the group! Then, the droids brought in a transport vehicle and prepared to load them in the back of it. On that transport, they could see that they had already captured Wouwie. Grimly, Thok said: "I guess those clankers from before were not the last ones after all. I hope Jifel and the others are done fooling around with the Ewoks soon..."
  2. From FBTB: Can anyone confirm this? I looked on the TRU website, but the only sale I saw there was the following: Strange. I'll go and check my local TRU tomorrow. If it's true that SW is included in the sale, I really hope that this includes the CW sets! That would be awesome!
  3. I saw Hidden Enemy yesterday, and although I (like many others) was skeptic about the concept of a clone betraying his brothers, I really liked the episode! The idea of a clone developing his own will was very, very good IMO. It always bothered me how the clones had Jango (who is a bad guy and a freakin' bounty hunter!) as a template and are still those good-hearted, super-loyal, honorable warriors! And it was only a matter of time that the clones started realizing that they are all just a mass-produced tool of warfare and began to rebel. I mean, I know that they are genetically altered to be the ultimate soldier and all, but that will not prevent them from developing their own mind, you know? So, if you ask me, an episode like this was almost overdue! Good job, CW makers! Overall, this episode had a good story, a good amount of clone screen-time, and a good amount of lightsaber fight. It'll definitely be one of my favorites. But was anyone else weirded out by that conversation between Obi Wan and Assajj? It almost sounded like she was hitting on him! Yes, there truly were some nice "Easter Eggs" in this episode, and it did explain the beginning of the movie quite well. The fact that Jango's theme played in the background of the fight with Slicks was all part of him "going Jango" as Filoni puts it! Or at least they get their hand cut off. Seriously, though, you have a point when you say that lightsaber fights can become a little dull after some time. I'm really enjoying the clone-centered episodes too, but I also want to see some good lightsaber fights, so as long as these two things are as well balanced as in this episode, I'll be happy. You are also right that it is a pitty that the writers of this show are limited in what they can do in the episodes by the events in the movies. For example, it would be awesome to see Grievous kick Anakin's megablocks in a lightsaber duel, but as Filoni said in the episode commentary of Duel of the Droids, these two characters can't even meet each other in this show since they meet in RotS for the first time. Oh well, there is still a lot of potential for good lightsaber fights in this show. Mace Windu VS. Grievous anyone? Hm... I didn't realize that, but you're probably right that this might be one of the reasons why that episode was so good. I'm quite a big fan of Obi Wan (hence my name ), so I don't have a problem with him being in an episode. However, I, too, would be glad if Anakin wasn't in so many episodes. Don't worry, Penguin, there will be such episodes. Filoni even said that there will be an "A Day in the Life of a Battle Droid" episode. No, it's not. I don't know why I ever created this thread if nobody is ever gonna post such conversations there.
  4. Thank you so much guys! Especially to JimButcher and CopMike who posted those excellent SW cakes! Unfortunately, (as always) I didn't get any Lego. However, I got a cool T-shirt that features a red 1x2 brick and says "Back To Basics - Go Classic" on it and my sister made a delicious brick-shaped chocolate cake! I'll post pics pf those later. Plus, I got some money from my friend, and you all know where that is going to get invested in. Besides, the presents that I got instead of actual Lego include a PlayStation 3, a shaver, and a new car radio, so I really don't have any reason to complain. Anyway, it was a great birthday and I'm very happy! I hope that mutley, MatthewUSA, and Avohkahs' Sparks had a similarly good day. May the force (and cake) be with you - always!
  5. No, you don't. Last time I checked, creatures and beasts like Akul don't count as people. So stop trying to prove something.
  6. When did Ahsoka ever kill people? But yeah, I don't think little Boba fits into the CW either. However, that doesn't mean that we can't make a vignette with him for the contest.

    Ahsoka dead

Yeah... Would have been funny if you would have added some sort of quote like: "I never liked you anyway!" Seconded. Dooku aint S**t!
  8. I once built a centaur using the leg design of the Mini AT-AT. I simply made the legs one joint piece shorter, removed the "feet", and brought the legs two studs closer together, so that the figure was only two studs wide like a normal Lego horse. Then, instead of the AT-AT body, I added a tail made out of plates at the back and a minifig's upper body at the front. Not the best design, but it was minifig scale and looked alright, so it worked for me.

    Ahsoka dead

Hehe, nice one. You couldn't wait for the contest, could you? It's great how you made it look like she broke through the wall, and the blood trail is also nice, even though lightsabers aren't supposed to leave blood. As Da Death Star once said, when body parts get cut off by a lightsaber, the only thing you see is "a burn that looks like a pancake that's been in a stove on high for half an hour". Also, Anakin should have his Episode III torso (if you have it), not the CW one. But otherwise, it's a great vig. The story to it is also good. An interesting point in the SW timeline to put this event, and it's interesting that you say that it was Ahsoka who locked the younglings into the council room. I don't have any suggestions for future MOCs for you, but as long as you do 'em as good as this one (build- and storywise), you should be fine.
  10. "Good question" said Jim. "The only thing left to do now is to find Dooku and find out what he is up to, but we have no clue where he went." They stopped the tank in the shadow of a large tree where they couldn't be spotted. They all got out, with the exception of Oky Wan and Wouwie. They counted their men. Only five were left, and Adam was missing as well. "Well," said Thok, "whatever we do, we'll need some troops first if we want to survive the next attack!" In that moment, Jim remembered something. "Hey Wouwie!" he called to the open hatch of the tank. "How about that backup you called for a while ago?" "I'll check right away!" answered Wouwie out of the tank and sat to the radio. "Hey Jim," said Oky Wan, "the scanners are picking up a coded signal... it's coming from an astromech... It's Garviel's R3! He must be here already!" "Good" said Jim "Then we'll go and pick him up. Maybe Adam is with him too. Now what about the backup, Wouwie?" "I just contacted them. It's the 188th legion, and they're fighting some droid forces nearby. Shall we go and get some clones from them before we go to Loken?" "Sure" said Jim. He climbed back into the tank and signed the others to follow him. They all got back in, and started driving toward the location of the 188th.
  11. I really like the look of those magnet sets. A really nice way to get some of those figs in case you missed out on the sets they came in. I guess TLC found a way to sell us sets with (almost) only minifigs after all. The watches are also nice, but I don't think I'll get any. Do you think the Adult Watches will come with minifigs too? Damn. I was hoping that both of them would have jetpacks. On the other hand, if the jetpack turns out to be just an airtank and not a new mold, I wont care. Lord Durk?
  12. Very nice! I love the amount of detail on this and the incorporation of Technic pieces! Good job! You should post your MOCs more often over here.
  13. Nope. Cause it's a stupid set. Which is why I don't understand why you want it so badly. But whatever makes you happy, dude. I'm not sure, but I don't think so. Therefore, it will probably impossible for you to get it. However, you could request a decal in the Minifig Customization forum. A yellow-skinned version of the Bane torso would work fine for this purpose, methinks. The Spiderman fig on the other hand does exist, as you might know.
  14. You know, this type of piece. But now it's a 2x2 plate with one stud! At least that's what it looks like to me.
  15. 7661 Jedi Starfighter™ with Hyperdrive Booster Ring is now on clearance in Lego Retail Stores for $34.99. Quick! Get it before it's gone!
  16. Thanks for the tip! I just went and got one from the Lego Store in Downtown Disney for that price! They still had like four of them. Definitely beats paying more than full price on toysrus.com. I knew waiting would pay off. It usually does. That's why I'm waiting to get the RGS, 'cause it's not worth $120 for me.
  17. Defenders of Pea? The same reason why TLC usually doesn't actually call themselves "TLC", I suppose. CIS is short for Confederacy of Independent Systems, which is just the official name of their "organization". They say "Separatists" when they speak of themselves to keep it short and to demonstrate their ideals. PS: I was wondering: Why do you always put a " ) " after your sentences, Penguin?
  18. Only for the DS? Since almost all the games for the DS are kiddie games, I think this will probably be kind of a kiddie game too, so I don't really care. I don't even have a DS.
  19. Sure. However, as the rules state, you can't play as a main character, so you can't be Captain Rex. Sorry. But if you want, you can be Commander Rex, Wouwie's friend. In that case, you could even join right now, since you would already be with us. What do you say? PS: I kinda had a feeling you would be joining us at some point.
  20. I thought some hardcore Halo fan might bring this up. But Indy, SW, and LotR are series of movies, not games, and are much more about what's happening around the wars, not simply the war itself, which HALO (as a game) is. And Lego themes never include killing, just fighting. Note that I said "as a game". I'm sure that the story behind HALO (which I admit not knowing much about) is about more than just killing, which is why I would welcome a HALO movie, but if SkyOtic is right, I guess I wont even get to see that one. Yes, I hope so too!
  21. Sorry for double-posting, but... What other tank? All tanks, except for Pr0's, got destroyed. PLEASE, pay attention, guys! Otherwise you'll get us completely confused!
  22. Oky Wan looked at Pr0's tank and said: "How about we keep using this tank? Our own is destroyed, and with the big saws on this thing, we'll get through this ratchet jungle much faster!" "Good idea!" said Jim. "This way, the clankers will think that we are one of them and wont attack us every 5 minutes!" So, they all got into the CIS Saw Tank and kept moving through the jungle. After a while, they got close to a clearing, when suddenly JD and Thok came running out of the bushes in front of them, followed by a guy with mechanical limbs and only one hand...
  23. Well, roving around in a tank isn't exactly what I call stealthy. Besides, stealthy is boring. But yeah, let's take it easy on the attacks and just try to reunite with the others. Speaking of the tank, when and why did we leave it? Somehow I missed that part. Oh well, it's blown up now, so it doesn't matter anymore, I guess. But where the heck did we leave the Fortitude?
  24. Environments shouldn't be such a problem when MOCing for this game. They don't have to be anything super-sophisticated, you know. A green baseplate with some Lego trees and plants on it is absolutely sufficient to illustrate a jungle. So please don't discourage yourselves. I just thought of a way to make buzz-saws without using the official piece, so if I have time later, I'll MOC that CIS saw-tank.
  25. Yes, this has already been mentioned here. I only played Halo once in my life and I wasn't exactly impressed. Therefore, I'm kinda glad that TLC didn't get the license. As if they ever wanted to have it. I mean, that would have been the stupidest theme ever: One about a game that's all about people killing other people. (As you can see, I am not a big fan of First-person shooters. ) However, I am still looking forward to the Halo movie that is in the works. Amen, brother!
