  1. I voted Yes! This is a fantastic, beautiful set! You get two huge, accurate, minifig-scale vehicles in one set. Also, this is the first set that comes with a somewhat fair amount of clones. And the best part is that it's compatible with the AT-TE! Would have been nice to get a Jedi or at least a clone comander with this set, and the price-per-parts ratio might be quite a bit off, but it still seems to be an excellent set! I can't wait for the price to drop so that I can afford this bad boy! Besides, I do not wish to upset the Great Lucas. On a side note: I'll be very interested to see someone swap the parts from the dropship with those on the RGS to turn the RGS into an ARC Gunship!
  2. Well, somehow I don't think that they'll include the humans, but I agree that it would definitely be possible. They wouldn't have to be all that big. Andy is barely over twice as tall as Woody, so even Belville figs would do.
  3. It's a Canadian kids TV channel. Here is the link to the contest: Click! Doesn't look like you need to do anything. I guess it's more of a raffle than a contest really. Seriously, DDS, a little more info would have been nice. You could have at least provided the link.
  4. Does lack of space keep me from buying more Lego? Not really. I am already having trouble finding space for all my sets but I still keep buying them. That's mostly because I have a pretty big room with a bunch of shelves and a whole little closet where I store my Lego. So, whenever space becomes sparse, I just make room by rearranging everything a little or take apart old sets or MOCs.
  5. Hm... Yes, I see the resemblance. But that still doesn't explain what TheBrickHitHouse said. Are you saying that Squidman is a replacement Jar Jar?
  6. You know, the blond guy with the Hawaiian shirt who looks like he's bleeding from his eyes. You can see him in this pic. I think the red stuff around his eyes is supposed to be colored sunglasses though.
  7. I agree. That episode was kinda lame, except for the last part where the red-haired terminator kills everyone. And I laughed so hard when I saw John Henry play with Bionicles and explain their story! Now I'm almost sure that there are AFOLs amongst the crew of this show! I thought I explained that already. They are not trying to "fill the gap" or "remaining true to the films". They created a whole new timeline where they can do whatever they want. That's what is (supposed to) keep the story interesting because you don't know exactly where it will end. A good idea IMHO, but you might be right that the fact that they do this in disregard to the films is what hurts this show. People don't get it and get confused and stop watching the show. Sad, really.
  8. And don't forget post-apoc! I think the Agents logos that we see in the prelim box art pics on the armor are stickers. That's what they look like in those pics anyway. I hope we get some close-ups of the figs soon too. Aside from the armor, I also want to know what the new robo-villain from the Aerial Defense Unit and the blood-eyed civilian in the Robo Attack look like.
  9. I'm sorry, but those cartoony weirdos don't look like anything from SW. I like how the big laser cannon in 5972 seems to be a stolen Police cannon with the Police symbol being scratched out by the criminals.
  10. Well, in my first post, I commented on the early 2008 SW set pics. In comparison with most other first posts, this is kind of a long one. Here it is. A bit n00bish, but by far not as much as it could have been. This reminds me that I never introduced myself here. Perhaps I should post a late introduction later.
  11. I thought a lot about this, and here is what I think: Best 1. Star Wars - The combined awesomeness and creativity of Lego and Star Wars results in the best theme ever! 2. City - What can I say - it's what made Lego so popular. Even though I don't buy any, this is simply a lovable, classic theme. 3. Mindstorms/Technic - This is a really neat, smart theme that teaches kids basic physics and IT. I haven't bought any Technic sets since Mindstorms NXT (due to all the fantastic Lego System sets), but I still think it's a great theme. Hoever, the best theme should be Basic since it's the foundation of all other themes. Worst 1. Galidor - Duh! The only good thing about this theme is that this is where the cool ball joints came from, I believe. 2. Scala/Belville - I don't know. Lego doll houses just don't seem like a good idea to me. Also, it's very <insert that tiresome argument> and most of the parts from this theme aren't very usable in other themes. 3. Bionicle - Sorry, but I have to agree with Norro that "they aren't very Lego". Don't get me wrong, I really like them. They make for great action figures and actors in a stop motion film. But there is just not much else you can do with them.
  12. Yes, we are. I hate to say this again, but if you would pay attention to what others are saying, you would know that we are talking about the PoP movie. And the movie is being produced by Disney, so I'm guessing the rating can't be all that bad. This, of course, raises the question of how good the movie (and in return, the sets) will be.
  13. Totally! Oh hopefully! That would be awesome! Just imagine one of the new characters to be a classic minifig! They could have done this in Toy Story 2 already, but apparently they chose not to. Would have been great if Andy's toys would have come through the Lego aisle in Al's Toy Barn! Oh well, here's hoping our favorite toy will have a cameo in the next movie! SW & Indy? Really? There is nothing in Toy Story that reminds me of anything from SW or Indy. But we'll definitely get some parts that can be used for Wild West mocs and maybe some for Space.
  14. Actually, I don't think they'll use that piece because Buzz's helmet is just a half dome. At least I hope they don't, 'cause when you put a normal minifig head into Sandy's helmet, it looks kinda weird. So, I really think they'll make two new molds for this: A new shoulder piece which will represent Buzz's chest armor and jet pack, and one that is a trans-clear half dome, like one of Sandy's helmet pieces, but without the hole for the minifig neck. That half dome piece will then go on top of the shoulder piece. That's what I think anyway. I'm pretty sure that they will do a little set from that scene in the first Toy Story where they meet Buzz for the first time on Andy's bed. It'll have Buzz's "spaceship", Buzz and Woody themselves, and maybe some of the other toys, like Rex the Dinosaur.
  15. "Dr. Evil" was a nickname for Palpatine, silly. Yes, we know, DarthSmartypants. The question was if it was seen in the TV show. And no, it hasn't. Not yet.
  16. Check the frontpage.
  17. Oh, and I don't know if it matters, but there are two different (Slave) Leias: A yellow one and a flesh-toned one. You might want to make a note of that.
  18. Nice list! I have the feeling it can be expanded a lot, though. The only women I'm missing in there are Assajj Ventress and that Crocodile girl from the RACE series:
  19. Well, I guess we know what the mystery Technic rod in the Home One is for now - To have the A-Wing turn around and "fly" out of the hangar and wise-versa. Pretty cool feature, IMO. The Home One set has a nostalgic value for me. As a kid, I used to have a bunch of MicroMachines Star Wars playsets which were much like this. I still wont get it though. Btw, I'm really glad that they changed the clone in the Venator to a pilot. Otherwise we wouldn't have had anyone to fly the damn thing!
  20. Ouch! Well I just made a list too, and there are $455 worth of SW sets I want to buy for sure this year (not including the Clone BP which I don't know how many I want yet), plus Turbo Car Chase, Gold Tooth Getaway, and Ambush in Cairo which are worth over $70! Also, there are a few sets I'd like to get, but pay the lowest price for (like the AT-OT with Dropship or Venice Chase), so I'll get those as soon as their prices drop. But I will only buy all my Lego as soon as I have a Disneyland Annual Pass and get 10% off in the Lego Store (which I should have by summer). Still, it's good that I don't have to buy those boardgames too.
  21. They aren't? I did not know that. Too bad, I liked the look of them. Oh well, I don't need another theme (if that's what you can call them) to eat up my money anyway.
  22. So... There was no sign of the Lego board games at ToyFair? A pitty. I was almost certain they would be there and was looking forward for pics of the games we don't know about yet, but I guess not. Not to me. I saw an ad for these on TV a few days ago and was going to post it, but I forgot which restaurant it was, so I didn't post it. I wonder if they are compatible with real Lego.
  23. I already said this in a different thread, but I thought I'd point this out here also. Did anyone notice in this pic that there is an alternate nose art sticker for the LAAT Dropship that looks almost just like one of Rayman's custom RGS stickers? Strange.
  24. That might have been me. (Link) In that case, thanks!
  25. Don't you think it's also disrespectful not to pay attention to what others are saying and then make overly smart remarks like you did? That's all I'm asking everyone to do - pay attention to others - so that we don't have to litter the boards with such discussions. If I came across rude, I apologize. Back on topic: Another game license that would be possible IMHO is Ratchet & Clank. It's a quite popular game too, and although it's mostly about running around and shooting, it has a rather light tone and some cool vehicles and locations to base sets on.
