  1. Well, I guess that answers the question of if it's real or not. The only question now is how much prelim that pic is. I for one hope that they will improve the ship a bit for its release. I don't like how "fat" it looks, and I don't like all that dark bley in there. I am quite satisfied with the minifigs to be honest, though. You get Palpy, two Senate Guards to protect him, one Pilot to fly the thing, and one gunner to operate its weapons. What more do you need? Sure, one or two Jedi would have been nice, but also kinda random and just a bonus to the set. I don't have any high hopes for the interior, especially considering the rumored piece count. I am expecting something similar to the ISD: A control room as a bridge, a throne for Palpy, a weapons rack, and some kind of small escape pod-ish vessel. Either way, I'll get this set!
  2. Sounds good. Can't wait. Seconded! I was thinking about using that torso too, but now that you're using it, it would be a little weird for me to use it too. No matter. I am very satisfied with my outfit as it is now. Perhaps I should take a picture of my character for my biography. Btw, simonjedi, my CW Obi Wan fig is a keychain mod, so I can't remove the legs, which means that I wont be able to give your character a kama. Hope that's OK. Hm... Wasn't it supposed to be heavily modified? I don't really see any modification, so unless those modifications are supposed to be more inside the starfighter, I would like to see some more pics, so that we can see the mods. Hehe, thanks! And thanks for noticing that little gag too. For those who don't recognize him, the dead guy is Mor Daeggar, the drug dealer. Oops! Erm, yeah, that's what I meant. Thanks. Well, there wasn't intended to be one, but if you want, we could add one. Let's see what Jim thinks about this. While we're at it, why don't we also make a collection of all past banners for this game?
  3. Well, considering that it is a rule for this entire site, yes, they probably will. So, please resize them, upload them again, and share them with us. So... What is it? JD's MOC? Isn't it a bit early to think about Chapter 2? Chapter 1 hasn't even started yet. Just to let you know, Jim and I have already roughly planned Season 2 out. And no, it wont be about a super weapon. That concept is getting a little old now, don't you agree? HINT:
  4. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the newest, coolest Lego theme: Air Pirates! This is a steampunkish, post-apocalyptic, Crimson Skies type of theme. In a distant future where there is not a lot of high technology around anymore, air travel has become the most popular type of transportation. But this world isn't safe, for air pirates rule the skies! The Iron Eagle This is Captain Ironclaw's Airship, the Iron Eagle! With his wench and crew of three loyal air pirates, the cyborg captain travels through the skies and plunders any airship or plane that passes their way! All the propellers are connected with each other. There is a mechanism going from the wheels through the entire body of the ship up to the balloon. So, if you push the airship over the floor, the propellers will turn! The rudder can be turned to the sides, and the propeller inside of it will work in any position! The anchor can be lower and raised by turning the cross, and the side railing can be opened to let down a rope ladder! The front wall of the cabin can be easily removed to reveal the interior! Here you can see the brave crew! As the subtitle of this topic says, this is my entry for the large division of VBBN's Lego Themes contest on Brick Horizon. You can cast your vote for it here. Please also check out my entry for the small division. Comments are highly welcome!

  6. Very good idea for an index! I have always wanted to see all SW figs in one place! You started it pretty well, but there are still some things missing in the Ep. I category. For example, the old-school Droideka.
  7. And now, for your enjoyment... An exlcusive deleted scene from Chapter 1 of the first Season of the SWCG! This was supposed to take place between this and this post. Why did it get deleted? Because JimButcher and Lt. Col. Thok beat me to posting that part of the story. Unfortunately, I had already made the MOC and taken pictures of it. So, to make them not go to waste, I thought I'll post them here and now. Here you go: After Jim blew up the hover transport, the three emerged from their cover spot. They walked over to the gunner of the crashed hover transport to see if he was still alive. Having a wounded leg, Jim was limping. He used his nail gun as a support. It turned out that the guy from the hover transport was heavily wounded, but still alive. They questioned him and found out that the drug lord was on his way to Utapau. Afterward, Oky Wan repaired the fuel tank of the speederbike and Annix refilled it with leftover fuel from the hover transport, while Jim put bandages from the speeder's first-aid kit on his injured leg. When they were done, they all got on the speederbike and took off. They headed toward the spot where the battle had started and where the transport had come from. First, Oky Wan and Annix dropped Jim off to his troops. He thanked the two for their help and told them to meet him on Utapau if they wanted to continue to help. Of course, they agreed. Then Oky and Annix took off again. They returned to the spot where Oky Wan starfighter was parked. There, they finished their deal, and Oky Wan quickly installed the new parts, while Moda left on the speeder bike to get to his own ship. Oky Wan rebooted his astromech and climbed into the cockpit. He took off and set course for Utapau. From there on, it would have continued with the events in this post. I hope you liked it. I also have pics for the finale of Chapter 4 that never made it into the thread because Hinckley closed it so quickly. I might post a copy of the last post of season 1 here with the pics later.
  8. Ah, I understand your thoughts now. But as you say yourself, your assumption doesn't make much sense, and I think the fact that the pirates were trying to poison Obi & Annie shows that they are not interested in making deals with the Republic (anymore), so it is to be assumed that Dooku (together with the Jedi) is going to be sold to the Seps. Well, yes, we know that this wasn't exactly the best episode ever, but if you ask me, none of the first parts of the 2- or 3-part stories in this show were. They all just serve the purpose of preparing the viewer for the following episode(s). Downfall of a Droid for example sucked, whereas Duel of the Droids rocked. So, I'm really hoping that Gungan General will be about just as good as Duel of the Droids! And I'm very curious what Dooku's secret plan is...
  9. Seconded! It creates a very nice, lightning-shaped crack. Me like! Interesting idea, but replacing the hinge piece wouldn't make much sense. And if one were to do that, one would have to make everything around the fissure mechanism a whole brick higher too. No, I think it works best with plates. I'm really liking your earthbending MOCs, Pigbrick, so keep 'em coming! Now, I can wait even less to see the complete arena!
  10. Hm... that RC base/chasis doesn't look as bad as it did in the catalogue. If one of those ever goes on sale, I might actually pick one up! I can see a bunch of uses for this thing - even in Star Wars! I would love to make an RC Landspeeder or AAT or something! Tiny turbo's RC?! Those would have to be, like, micro motors and a tiny receiver! And it would be pretty damn expensive! But yeah, that would be cool!
  11. Cool. Neat Munificent-class star frigate, and very nice work on those rocks! But I don't quite get what those spiral things are supposed to be... They look cool, though. That twin gun on top of that mountian... compared to the capital ships, that must be a really big gun!
  12. So, did we decide on which ship is going to be our HQ now or not? Once we decide that, we can start thinking of a name for it.
  13. Cute. Useful to any town layout! Where is there SNOT in there? I don't see any. I don't see any mines in there either.
  14. Jedi are keepers of peace, not warriors, so why should they? And what do you mean by "have Dooku captured"? Dooku is already captured - by pirates. Obi & Annie are escaping with him because they want to hand him to the authorities or whatever once they get back to Coruscant. The pirates apparently don't want to make deals with the Republic (anymore), so Obi & Annie have to take Dooku from them. Why Dooku agrees to this is a different question. But as Filoni says in the commentary of "Dooku Captured", this might all be part of some kind of master plan of Dooku.
  15. I was just about to say the same thing, Hinck! This is awesome indeed, and considering its popularity, I hope this MOC will finally inspire more Avatar MOCs! Thanks for the "interior" pics! Very nice how you used the spring piece and very clever overall! I can't wait to see the final, complete arena!
  16. I just saw "Dooku Captured". It was pretty good. I mean, how could it not have been? It had the most screentime of Obi Wan, Mace Windu, and Dooku to date! Plus, it featured pirates and the Solar Sailer! But what was up with the flying saucer? I mean, it was kinda cute how cliche-like it looked, but still... This is Star Wars, not MIB or something! Ah, yes, you're right. Starmars.com says the same. So, according to Wookieepedia's list of Season 1 episodes, episode 22 will be aired on March 17. This means that we can expect a Season 1 DVD some time shortly after that, I think. WHAT! Grievous murdering Panaka? "Carbonite infiltration manuever"? Plo kicking Grievous' butt - IN SPACE?! Goddammit! This episode could have ROCKED, but nooo, the producers had to step in and make it as stupid and boring as it was! Gosh, this makes me so mad! It also makes me loose hope of this show ever including any kind of badassness in the future. I do, however, find the part about General Grievous rather interesting: I, personally, believe in the EU version. It makes Grievous a more deep, Mr. Freeze-like character, which I like. As Filoni said, I therefore believe that Grievous only invented the new story to hold up his reputation of a proud warrior. That's how I interpreted it the first time I watched Lair of Grievous, and it fits very well into the idea of him trying to convince himelf that his new way of life is good and that he is still the proud warrior that he used to be. How do you guys feel about this?
  17. In the preview for the episode "Gungan General" of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, we get a glimpse at the "Pirate Tank" that was rumored to become a set! You can watch the preview here. (Might only work for the US!) If the rumor is true, I'll be looking forward to this set! These tanks look pretty cool!
  18. Well, usually you have to start separately and then meet the group, but if we agree that some time has passed between Season 1 & 2, it would be possible that you say that you met the group during this time. That would be easier since it would save you the trouble of introducing yourself and meeting us. Haha, yeah, that's kinda what we are, isn't it? How about we call ourselves "The S-Team"? (No clue what the S stands for, but it's the first letter in SWCG. ) Glad you like it. But my character is still the one who upgraded it, right? Btw: I'm an engineer, thank you very much. Looks interesting. But I still think we should stay with something more conventional: a SW vessel that everyone knows what it looks like in normal size.
  19. That ship looks promising, JD. But why would it have the imperial insigna on it? I'm sorry, but I don't think that this should be our HQ ship. As I said before, our main ship should be something that can hold all our personal starfighters and can be easily recreated as a mini (like an Acclamator) IMO. How about you saved the jedi's life that it belonged to and got it as a reward? Well, how about this: Season 2 picks up a few days or weeks after the end of Season 1 where we have all become an official team and have fought a couple of relatively small battles together. The Senate is satisfied with our service for the Republic, so they give us our own ship, insigna, etc. What do you think? Btw, if we have our own ship and insigna, shouldn't we also have our own name? I think that would be cool. Any suggestions? Something ending with "Force" or "Squad" would be cool IMO.
  20. Sure! Go ahead!
  21. Seconded. If you want to call him that, yes. But I think it's up to Wouwie since Rex is his sidekick.
  22. I said clone commander. Not gunner. I thought that was pretty clear. You too, Pr0! Now back on topic please! That person would be me. I'm still waiting for the JSF wit booster ring to go on sale. So, troll head with black helmet it is then. You mean as some kind of head quarters? Good idea. It could be a Venator or Acclamator or something, and we could all just MOC a mini version of it out of a few parts when we want to show it from the outside. We could all have our own starfighters in the hangar. I don't think that would be a good idea. As I said many times before, I was trying to get away from confusing time travel related plots when I created that end for Season 1. Besides, with a story like that, we would just end up messing up the continuity of the PT and the whole SW universe. I wouldn't like that. Therefore, let's try to come up with a whole new story, shall we? Happy New Year!
  23. You know exactly what! But since you did keep your promise, no worries. Ah, I see. Very interesting. So, that means your present self isn't part of the story of Season 2, right? Good. So, will we see Rex again in the new season? If so, could we please have a pic of him? I'd suggest that he is the clone commander from the new BP because everyone is gonna have those now. Oh... Well, I do have pretty bad eyes, so...
  24. Dennimator 1st place, Guss 2nd place, and Eti 3rd place, huh? Very good. that's exactly how I expected and wanted it to turn out. Congrats to the winners. I wish I could have entered. My entry would have beaten all of yours'! Oh well...
  25. That's because he is ignoring the old cartoon altogether. There are some explanations for these things, like saying that Grievous always kinda did have a cough because he was never able to completely adjust to his droid body, but some things just don't make a lot of sense. Filoni simply wants to give us a fun cartoon about the clone wars, disregarding any type of continuity. But I am still pretty sure that they wont remake anything. Why not? If you ask me, it would make more sense if they didn't actually. As I said before: If you were to try to make sense of this show in terms of continuity, you would have to say that it is set somewhere between Chapter 21 and 22 of the old cartoon. If they would want to keep this new show somewhat in continuity, they wouldn't touch anything that has happened in chapters 22 - 25. But apparently Filoni doesn't care about messing things up so we'll have to wait and see, I guess. I never said that they should bring back Durge. I only said that they should introduce a new big baddie like Durge. But, sure, having him in the show would be cool as well... as long as he doesn't steal Grievous the show. Hm, you're right, that would indeed be interesting to see. Better than those super obvious hints at the fact that Palpy is secretly controlling the CIS at least. Haha! Well, tell your wife that she should give up hope. There are at least a hundred episodes planned, and with the success of the show, who knows where it will end. Besides, Star Wars will never end! Star Wars forever!
