How does this even belong in the Action themes forum? If produced, JB would be a licensed theme, not a Lego action theme. Anyway, I'm not a big JB fan and prefer Agents way over a possible JB theme. Agents ON!

Sorry for replying to this so late, but here is my answer: It's almost the same color, but it seems to be slightly less flashy than that of the Inferno torsos. And yes, the vehicles with the skull twin color scheme remind me of Death Race too. :skull:

Wow! What an outstanding review! Very hilarious too, as always! Thanks, and good job! That said, this is a pretty neat set. However, since I don't collect City, I'll pass on buying this. The minifigs are very boring, but the set itself certainly isn't! And you are right, I too can see different theme variations made out of this. Perhaps if I get bored sometime, I'll make an Adventures themed one with the printed tan 1x2x5 hieroglyph bricks instead of the mirrored ones and little jeeps and Anubis statues instead of the sleds and horses.

Hehe. Thanks. But I think some of those sets I listed would never happen, like the jet which has no conflict in it, or the Incredobile which is just based on the first few minutes of the film. Who? Me or The Disney Co.? Btw, if we all love Duck Tales, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck etc. so much, why is it that we're not seeing any MOCs? The only things I have seen done is the money bin (which isn't very hard to do) and the Sea Duck. I know that the MOCs wont be as good without the figs, but still - Please make some MOCs of these great shows! PS: Are you guys as sad as me about the fact that they stopped releasing these shows on DVD? I really hope they continue at some point.

Hello there. Just wanted to let you know that I received my poster about a week ago and am very happy with it. Thanks a lot to all who voted for me, and congrats to the two who managed to get more votes than me this time. Can't wait for the next contest!

Because I can't edit the first post and I'm not in charge yet. Well, considering that JD said that we are in the second story and that you yourself said that you went up the elevator, I'm pretty sure we were inside. That's also why I'm so surprised that you/we were in your heli again all of a sudden. Also, you said that we don't know where the mutants are, but suddenly my character did know where they were. What's up with that? Yes. Yes you should. I'll edit my post.

Don't worry, I'm here, and I'll lead the game while JD is gone. I was just waiting for some other people to post before me. Bob was furious. He marched up to the mutant and packed it by the collar. "You mutant slime," he said, "tell me how the hell your kind, robots, and Butcher-people got into my goddamn building!" The mutant, under the pain of his amputated leg, started to say something, but all that came out of its mouth was gargling sounds. It seemed that it had mutated to a point where it couldn't speak properly anymore. "Ah, this is pointless!" said Jack frustrated after a few seconds. He pushed Bob aside and blasted the mutant's head with his plasma cannon, putting it out of its misery. The wall behind the now headless mutant was splattered with some sort of goo. Zach said: "Well, however they got in here, they must have had a good reason to do it and fight the machines. Whatever Bob's map thingy is, everyone wants it! So, I suggest we go and get it fast before anyone else does!" "Right" said Bob, "my office is right down the hallway. Let's go." And so they left the room full of mutant corpses and destroyed robots. Jack picked up a few parts that he thought might be useful on the way out. As they walked down the corridor, John complained: "Can somebody tell me what the point was in me jumping down 300 two stories and dressing up in a smelly alien suit?!" But the others ignored him and kept walking. Take the hint and go with the plan next time, guys! Btw, what was that action figure doing there, jifel? I agree that a separate discussion thread would be better. It worked well for the SWCG, which is why I'm so surprised that we went back this. Also, I think it should be made a rule NOT to say something like "pics will follow soon" because it usually never happens and gets on my nerves. Either post pics, or don't. That doesn't mean that if you can't immediately supply your post with pics, you shouldn't bother to add them later. By all means, please do! Just don't tell us that you will.

No. Seriously, what's there to talk about? He'll be a normal minifig with either a new hat or a fedora. Nothing else. I doubt there are that many 6 year-olds in the world, but I get your point. Also, this goes well with the fact that Lego tries to be less of a boys toy and appeal to girls as well sometimes. But luckily, there isn't much they could make a set out of besides a concert stage or Miley's home.

SWMAN has some very valid points. I think you are confused. Garfield & Snoopy are comic strips. Tintin may have started out being printed in newspapers, but that doesn't make it a comic strip. If you say it's for kids, that's your opinion. But some of us grew up with it, so you should respect that. Some of the highest grossing movies of their release year? I don't see what's senile about that. I personally think that Minority Report was Spielberg's last great movie. Seriously, stop trying to pick fights with people and start respecting their opinion! Sorry, but I'm really getting sick of you (indirectly) insulting other persons and/or their work! It's still a mystery to me how the heck you lasted on this forum for so long. That said, let's get back on topic please.

While we are deciphering stickers, can anyone make out what the graffiti on Kranxx' rocket bike says? I have the set (obviously) but I can't make it out. PS: Yes, Spyrius does rule!
-
But that would be some serious micro mechanics! Even if they pop up, they would still be too short because in the movie they also telescope out. I have not seen any other toy get that right yet, so how the heck would Lego do it? No, I think it will probably be two of these with stickers attached to one of these which you can attach to Buzz' back.

I see what you mean, but I have faith in Spielberg. I read that he is a big fan of Tintin and that it has often been an inspiration for his movies. He is one of the best directors to have ever lived, so what can go wrong?

[MOC] Operation Quarantine, cornered. Pic heavey
Oky replied to Bounty Hunter's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Huh? Clones were traded for zombies? I don't get it. That sure is some nice greebling, though. Good job, and good luck! -
By "real" you mean American? Tintin is as much a graphic novel as any of the DC/Marvel stuff. In fact, it's actually better than many of those silly superhero flicks IMHO.
-
Don't forget The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn! I'm not all that excited for any of those 2011 movies, although JL and Green Lantern could be good. We'll see. Can't wait for Iron Man 2, though! Hopefully we'll get to see some War Machine in action!

Alright, after long last, here is my character: Jack Samson Before the apocalypse, Jack had a happy life. He had a satisfying job, a nice house, and a lovely wife. But then, one day, everything was taken from him in a flash. Everything he loved was destroyed in the nuclear attack that made the world what it is today. He barely survived the attack himself, but lost an arm, a leg, and half of his face that day. However, he has managed to replace those body parts with cybernetic prostheses. Once he found out that the robots were behind the nuclear attack, he swore to destroy every robot he encounters. He travels from city to city, ridding them of evil robots. He collects parts from the robots he hunts down to "upgrade" himself and to keep as trophies. In his quest, he is aided by his cybernetic limbs which have made him stronger and better. His right arm can "transform" into a variety of tools and weapons, including a plasma cannon. Now, his next stop is City 23. Here is a pic of him firing his plasma cannon at a robot: In case you can't tell, the cannon is made out of three 1x1 round plates: two silver, and one trans neon green. As for the recreation of the fig: it's OK if you replace the torso of the fig as long as it's something dark colored and cool-looking. However, the head and hair should stay the same. They are both from Jetpack Pursuit, so if you haven't gotten this excellent set yet, hurry and get it! You wont regret it. The robotic leg could be anything that is silverish and mechanical looking, even chrome! (I would prefer that actually) Let's get this game started!

Hehe! Excellent! Some nice animation and timing there. The audio could use some work, but it's alright. For example, there should be sound when the swords hit each other or when the Magnas twirl their staffs. For the twirling, you can just use lightsaber twirling sounds, and for the swords, you can just record two knives (or forks or whatever) hitting each other. Also, the part where you tell Jim that you have to go after the BH is a bit too silent. It could use some subtle dramatic music. And of course it would have been nice if the other players would have provided their own voice, but oh well. Good job! Can't wait for part 2! JD already said that he would only be making the Season 1 finale, not the whole season. That would be just crazy. I hope that's a compliment. I'm not very good at voicing. Yeah, that part sounded a bit... silly. No offense, JD.

Of course we do! We all grew up with all these Disney toons and would love to see them released in Lego, but since no kid these days knows about these shows, there's no way it'll happen.
-
What would be so special about Kingdom Hearts? The only difference from a line of normal classic Disney movie sets would be the few anime characters and maybe some of the Heartless creatures. I would much rather have the normal classic disney movie sets to be honest. Besides, didn't they stop making those games, like, a long time ago? Also, TLC has never made any sets based on licensed videogames, with the exception of The Force Unleashed (which was a big "multimedia project" and only had one set), so it's rather unlikely.
-
Hm. You might have a point there. I just despise that brat so much. Oh well, both are very unlikely to happen, so what does it matter.
-
Jonas Bros indeed. Oh well, at least it wouldn't be as bad as Hannah Montana! I'm pretty sure it's the ladder: a mere prediction.

Minifig Customization Workshop Contest
Oky replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Huh? The Sphinx link in the index leads to BlueBard's entry. Fixing please? -
Mmmmm Chrooooome! Astronaut Bob knew it had been a bad idea to wear the helmet with the chrome visor when he found himself being chased by a greedy alien.

CURSE YOU! Not quite sure, but I received my order confirmation on May 3rd at 14:06:30.
