  1. Well, it looks like we are getting together quite a nice number of players for this. I hope this means that the game will be approved. I'm still working on my character, but I have a few questions. This takes place during (or towards the end of) a nuclear war, right? So this must be a distopian future? Cause that sentence about Skyscrapers and flying cars makes it sound somewhat Utopian. Explain please? Also, can we have some more info on the nuclear war? Was it caused by the humans? If so, who is/was fighting? And are there any specifics about how the aliens and robots are supposed to look like? It might be a good idea if there wasn't so that players can use any figs they want in their MOCs. Looking forward to the start of this game!
  2. While I don't dislike the classic yellow by no means, I have come to love the flesh-colored figs. I like the more realistic touch they have, and as Jim said, they go much better with yellow hair and torsos, whereas such parts make yellow figs look naked. Also, the variety that the different tones of skin color bring to the minifigs is nice. So, my vote goes to the fleshies.
  3. Damn! I was too late. Why, oh, why didn't I find out about this earlier! I could have had a chrome Vader for freakin' FREE! Oh well. Sorry for reviving this old topic. I just got a little excited.
  4. I did but it didn't work. No, no, JK. It would be really hard to do since there is a rep sitting right in front of you, supervising the build.
  5. You're right. I gotta get over there NOW!
  6. I just saw the Lego Store calendar for this month, and there is a Darth Vader Speed Build taking place: Do you think that "limited edition DV minifig" that the winner gets is the Chrome DV?
  7. Wow. What an IMPRESSIVE list. Sorry for the sarcasm, but there's really no point in posting lists. Post if you have pics, but if you don't, don't bother. As for Noxus: I'm sure you could think of a design that uses blue droid arms as legs, a blue droid body as the lower body, and one of those Life On Mars metallic blue space suits as the upper body - if you have those pieces.
  8. I think that's actually one of those sand forms. Nice idea actually. I'd love to make a sand minifig while at the beach and make some sand accessories for it! Sand Indy or Luke Skywalker anyone? Ah, that makes sense. I wont be needing one of those, though. However, I could use it as TP dispenser! And yes, my Lego store will be giving out those gold minifig keychains as well. However, since you can't get them with any other discount, I wont be getting any, since paying $75 on lego at MSRP isn't worth it to me. Besides, I still find it strange that it comes with fleshie hands!
  9. I can totally see a "Cave of Wonders" set happening, with Jafar, Jago, Aladdin, Abu, Carpet, and Genie (who would be a big, troll-like figure; the current troll arms would be perfect for him). The set would include lots of booby traps and shiny pearl-gold treasure pieces, and a trans-red diamond piece for Abu to steal, plus, of course, a new lamp piece.
  10. How about checking the first post. All we know is that it'll be around 250 USD.

Seriously, though, to me, it looks like the DS one says "Wiki" and the winners one says "Galaxy". Something tells me that these aren't meant to be read, and that they are just some random SW images KimT found on the internet again.
  12. What about Rook? He voted for himself.

It's the new "Indexed" symbol, indicating that a topic has been indexed. @LEGOscum: Btw, the correct initials of my name are OWK. I think they are there for good. I have never seen any other badges ever disappear.
  14. Lucky UKers. Anyway, on The Brothers Brick, they say that it has been confirmed that the Chrome Stormie will be confirmed: LINK However, they don't state a source.
  15. Well, since I'm such a big fan of Disney and PIXAR movies (especially PIXAR!), I would welcome pretty much any set from any of them. However, I would very much like to see sets based on The Incredibles! There are so many cool and iconic vehicles that they could base sets on! For example: A medium sized set with Mr. Incredible (in his old, blue costume) and his Incredimobile (or "Incredobile") and a bank robbers car. A small set with Mr. Incredible, Syndrome, the Omnidroid 9000, some rocks, and other jungle stuff. A medium sized set with Elastigirl, Violet, and Dash in their jet. This could have an explosion feature like 7198 Fighter Plane Attack. A small set with Dash and a Velocipod (with Syndrome henchman) and maybe some jungle trees. A large "Syndrome's Lair" playset with the room with the computer and the lava wall, the prison room, a rocket launch site, a little hangar for Velocipods or Vultures, and maybe a little monorail. Includes all Incredibles, Syndrome, some henchmen, and maybe Mirage. A large set with the Omnidroid 10000 and all the Incredibles, plus Frozone, and maybe some city stuff. Also, I agree that a set with Stitch and his little red spaceship would be extra sweet! So - Please, TLG? You're contradicting yourself there. PotC is a ride at Disneyland. But I know what you mean, and I kinda agree. Although I know that sets based on the parks could be very nice sets, I also know I wouldn't buy any.

Great! Thanks for the replies, guys! I feel honored to have these "medallions", so thanks KimT! I guess this can be closed now... unless it'll become a general discussion topic for these icons.
  17. Hello there. I have been getting some PMs about the two Star Wars icons that I have under my avatar lately, but I myself don't know what they mean or how I got them. The only thing I know is that you get these for extraordinary services to the Star Wars forum, like making a lot of reviews. However, I have not done much except participate in discussions and contests. So, it would be great if anyone can answer this. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, it's this: and this: Thanks.
  18. What the heck is that? The pole seems to be made out of about 50 of these. Kinda look like one of those things that cats scratch on.
  19. Interesting topic! My current sig can be explained like this: The first thing is a quote from the hilarious movie "Clerks 2" and is a link to the scene from which it's from. It's one of my favorite quotes and reflects my opinion on Lord of the Rings. Next, there are two banners for JimButcher's Star Wars Comic Game (which I had the honor of being the co-leader of). The first one is a link to the general SWCG discussion thread while the other is a link to the now-closed Season 2 thread. However, it appears that Squidman has vandalized that second banner and is now fleeing from the crime scene! Now that the SWCG has ended and my banner is ruined, perhaps I'll replace it with a new one that advertises some of my MOCs. I will also have to call Space Police to have Squidman arrested. Does anyone have their phone number? Below the banners, there is an ad for Jammiedodger714's upcoming brickfilm of the last chapter of Season 1 of the Star Wars Comic Game (which I helped to produce). It's a link to the teaser trailer! After that, I have a link to my post in the "What's in a name?" thread where I explain my username, just in case anyone is wondering about the "Oky" part. At the bottom, there are some links to other websites where you can see all of my sets and MOCs.
  20. Hehe, nice one! It looks cool and fits in well with other PM vehicles. I really like it!
  21. I just saw the pictures too! And one thing is for sure: If anything, these games are great parts packs! I would love to have that Monsters 4 game! Therefore, I really, really hope that these will be released in the US despite the rumors that they wont!
  22. Excellent! Now it's a pretty good review. It would be great if you could also add a pic of the transformation table in mid-turn, but not necessary. I too got this set back in the day (I even got two of it) and am very happy with it. This is the kind of cool little set with main characters that we are missing these days. Btw, I don't think it's all that strange that there is no parts inventory in the instructions since those were introduced in 2008, I believe, whereas this set is from 2005.
  23. The one with the strobe eyes is 2, the one in the funny hat who gets snatched up by the Cat Beast. The one inside Seamstress is 8, the big guy.
  24. I don't expect you to write an essay on this set, just give us some more information about it, for example when it was released, what its original price was, and what you can do with it. Your English seems pretty good, so I encourage you to at least try it. And I never said that the review is bad. It's just missing some things. Oh, and welcome to EB of course. By the way, introductions don't belong into reviews, but in this forum.
  25. No, he didn't. We still only have a front view of this set.
