  1. Although I have connections in Europe and am able to get the calendar either way, I'd like to support my fellow US citizens and sign this. This is an awesome set and everyone should be able to get it!
  2. Thank you so much, Oswald! All the sets look just ! I'm happy to see that the spaceship looks much better in the final version. It even includes a little purple car! The army men set seems to include a green stretcher. The only downside is that Buzz and Zurg's elbows don't seem to be posable, but that can be easily modded. I'm very tempted now to go to D23 to be able to see them in person. Hopefully more close-up pics will surface soon!
  3. Nice sneak peeks! I'll be getting at least one of these sets, if only to get that sweet new scuba gear. Well, it looks like you can stick a Technic pin into the side of the backpack, and maybe something into the bottom of the air tanks too, and maybe there is a stud or something in the front. Also, there is a visor on it, but it doesn't seem to slide back.
  4. I'm a little confused. What do you mean by "most wanted"? Do you mean "favorite" minifig or "dream" minifig? As favorite minifig, I'm torn between Vader and Maul. Vader is so iconic, but Maul is so awesome. As for dream minifig, it would be an improved Grievous fig with printed parts, longer legs (and maybe arms), and with maybe some more articulation in the arms (shoulders). I'm hoping the rumored GG's starfighter set is true and includes such a fig. I second that. Very nice work! You should post it in SW Photography if you haven't done so already.
  5. Well, maybe you're right. Maybe they are more like 300, especially Zurg. But I'm sticking to my price estimate of $40 per set.
  6. So... Phase 2 troops are allowed after all?
  7. I think you need to take a much better look at those sets, Black Rabbit. They are very different form the KK action figures. While the KKs consisted of up to 50 pieces, these seem to be made of around 400 pieces! Buzz' torso alone seems to be made out of around 30 pcs, whereas a KK torso was one mold with a few pieces put onto it. And these sets are much larger too. In fact, as I have already mentioned, I even believe that a minifig could fit inside one of their heads. Therefore, I would rather compare these with Exo Force mechs than KK figures. So, be assured that these will involve a lot more building. Probably as a bonus feature to make the sets more appealing. And if my theory is right that these sets are mechs for the Buzz and Zurg minifigs that are included with the respective sets, the LGMs (not LGAs) could be sort of civilians for the Zurg mech to terrorize and the Buzz mech to save. And just for the record, I pointed out the fact that they are included in those sets pages ago.
  8. The title says post about Cartoons you like, not list 'em.
  9. That really is confusing. What I find the most confusing is the mix of Phase 1 & 2. I thought only Phase 1 style was allowed. I'll enter as soon as I come up with a good concept.
  10. No, I think Rick is right; they do seem to be photos taken of a low-resolution computer screen. If they were scans, they would look much better. Well said. Some people should be more grateful about getting these sneak peeks at all.
  11. WOOHOO! Finally some set pics! Army Men: This set is pretty much everything we could have hoped for. Two  Price estimate: $10 RC: No surprise here. It seems to come with some sort of ramp, though, like the Racers sets. Price estimate: $20 Buzz: Absolutely gorgeous! Words can not describe the happiness that I feel when looking at this set! I have been building such Buzz mocs since I was a little kid, and now it's an official set! I absolutely don't mind the one-mold head, and I am actually very happy to see Bionicle style joints being used. I was hoping for a light brick on the arm with the wrist laser, but it seems to be just a flick-fire missile. Oh well, I guess I was being too optimistic there. However, the wings look great, and they even look like they just might be retractable somehow. And it's great that this comes with a Buzz and LGM fig. Price estimate: $40-50 Zurg: Looks also very good, but a bit <insert that tiresome argument>. I can't see much in this pic, except that it includes one of those Bionicle bazookas, and Zurg & LGM figs. I'll have to hold on to further judgment until I see a better pic. It would have been nice if TLC could have recreated his three-barreled blaster more accurately, but I guess this adds good playability, and might make the set a bit cheaper. Price estimate: $40 I'm very happy that those two come with their respective minifigure counterparts. I wonder if they are sort of mechs for the minifigs to steer. I could imagine there being little cockpits inside those one-mold heads. Buzz's Star Command Spaceship: Now, this one is kind of a disappointment. I had high hopes for this set, but it turned out much different than I thought. It looks kinda thrown together and rather <insert that tiresome argument>, and it has little resemblance to its counterpart in the movie AND the cartoon. However, this might only be due to the preliminariness of this pic. I'll have to wait for final pics to judge it. Price estimate: $30 Woody's Round Up: This looks like a very well designed set, even though not many details are to be made out. Personally, I am a little disappointed that this got the spot for the larges set, mostly because I have way too many Western sets for my liking already, but I guess this was to be expected. Western fans should be very happy now. Can't wait to see the details on this beauty. Price estimate: $80 I feel quite relieved now that I know what the sets look like that I commited myself to buying since the Disney license was announced. I'll be getting these the moment I can get my hands on them, and I'll be sure to make some reviews. I might even get multiples. As you can tell, I'm really excited for these sets, and I'll very surprised if most of them don't sell well.
  12. Hehe. Nice quoting of the trailer. And nice to finally see an actual cross section. Congrats, Vertea! I'm seeing it on Friday because my mom and sis want to see it together with me. Oh well, it'll be fun, I hope. This doesn't exactly sound like their type of movie, but we'll see.
  13. I'm pretty sure that the helmets will be new, but the visors will still be printed on the pilots' heads. And to be honest, it doesn't bother me too much. The question is if the faces will be CW or normal style. At the moment, I'm expecting normal style since the set seems ROTS based rather than CW, considering the CW is still Phase 1 this season. And I think the TIE Defender should be 40-45 since it doesn't seem to have a lot more pieces than Vader's TIE. In fact, the piece count on the prelim pic states that it has less pieces, but that can't be of course (Can it?).
  14. If I'm one of those people, I'm really sorry, I never meant to be rude to anyone, just give ideas to make this thread better. Back on topic: Don't the B'Omarr Monks count? If Grievous does, so should they, I think. Also, Luminara Unduli's species, Mirialan, is still missing.
  15. I don't think I said this, but I agree that it would be nice/helpful if you would add pics as examples to the index, Oswald. And if you do, you should probably add Windu as a bonus example under Human, just to clarify.
  16. Yes, that's the whole point of this topic. That's what Oswald meant by "made for line". Perhaps you should change that to "made into minifigs", Oswald, to make sure that nobody else gets confused.
  17. Which minifig is a mynock?
  18. Keep posting comments like this, and I can see a title change for you coming up... I'm sure you aren't.
  19. Wrong. The jester in Draw Bridge Defense was first. But it's the first fleshie one, and an awesome one at that. Too bad it has that chin strap.
  20. Yeah, I think you're loosing this battle, ADHO15. Mace is a human, no matter how you see it.
  21. I don't think so. He certainly doesn't look like it, and a man who knows to defend himself such as Bane doesn't need to be afraid of a hologram.
  22. They are small platforms with tiny pedals on them, coming out of the sides of the STAP. Very hard to recapture in Lego, especially with the BD legs not being able to split: Maybe it's what those wings on the sides are supposed to be?
  23. I don't think it includes a buzz droid. I don't see one, and it's not in the list of minifigs. It would be neat though if it would; I don't have any yet, and I think they are done well, aside from the oversized-ness.
  24. So, who else here likes Ben 10? As I mentioned a while ago, I really liked the first show. It was innovative, funny, well animated, and had great action. The movie that concluded that series, "Secret of the Omnitrix", was really good and almost movie theater worthy IMO. The new show, Ben 10 Alien Force is kinda boring to me though. There's too much talking, not enough action, and the humor isn't as good, plus there are some things that just don't make sense. And when there finally is action, it's not as badass as that of the original show IMO. However, the Season 2 finale was pretty good, and the Season 3 premiere this Friday looks promising. Vilgax was a good villain, and his return will mean a great improvement for this show. The upcoming follow-up series, Ben 10 Evolutions sounds good as well. The live action movies are total crap, but Cartoon Network should have never started airing live action stuff in the first place. The Lego sets don't sound too promising, being like Bionicles rather than System sets, but I'm still curious and staying open minded. What about you?
  25. Oh yeah, I'm sure everybody would want an army of broken protocol droids. Nice BP, but the parts included are somewhat random. I know it's intended that way, but BPs are meant to be purchased in multiples, and who would want multiples of random landspeeder parts? What I'm trying to say is that this seems more like a small set than a BP. But still, for what it is supposed to be, it's very well executed. I like the use of the battle-damaged Vader torso for the droid. Also, that Gamorean Guard BP is a nice easter egg.
