These promos look pretty good. The STAP would make for an awesome army building impulse set, the Imp speeder looks strange, but still kinda neat, and the clone walker, even though strangely proportioned, looks very cute. I hope these will be relatively easily available, or at least be offered as contest prizes here on EB at some point!

This sure would be great if it's true, and I can see them doing it considering the release of the videogame. Like others, I need some more evidence to completely believe it, so it would be great if someone more people could confirm it. (I'm too lazy to contact them myself. )

Hello there. Over in the "Space Getting Better" thread, CP5670 has brought up a good question, one that I have been wondering about for some time now: What do people define as Classic Space? Is it the very first Space sets, the first nine years of Lego Space, or anything before Life On Mars? For me, it's the latter: Anything before the humans vs. aliens plots and the excessive use of stickers and Technic pieces in the sets. Please vote for what you think it is and post your thoughts if you wish. If there is anything that should be added to the poll, just tell me and I'll add it. Classic Space ON! (Whatever it is )

Well, this is not exactly what I was hoping for, but still a very nice contest. And the prizes are outstanding! Thanks for that, KimT! I'll gladly enter as soon as I have time. How about using Photoshop to recolor figs instead of a sharpie?

Generally nothing special, but still a nice scene. The use of the tiara is clever. Is this before Rex shaved his head and Obi changed his Ep.II hair to Ep.III hair?

Interesting question. This is how I see it: Classic Space Pros: - Highly creatively designed sets - Different styles, but no real definition of bad and good guys. - The lack of a set story allowed for the user to make up his/her own stories. Cons: - Generic figs - Not much story, mostly just exploration, with the exception of the conflict between Space Police I & II and Blacktron. Life On Mars Pros: - First actually alien looking figs - Human as well as alien figs had unique faces and therefore character. - More defined story Cons: - Alien figs were inferior due to lack of posability - Alien vehicles didn't have a consistent color scheme and therefore looked thrown together. - Human vehicles looked more like present day space shuttles and rovers and therefore lacked a bit of creativity. - return to an all-male cast. Mars Mission Pros: - Sleek and smooth looking vehicles - More individual looking human characters Cons: - Very generic aliens with little to no posability. The Commanders in the last wave were a little more posable, but lacked a backside - A lot of Technic pieces involved in the set designs - Many <insert that tiresome argument> pieces. - Replacement of printed pieces with stickers. - Still an all-male cast. - Rather controversial backstory. Space Police III Pros: - Alien looking minifigs with normal minifig bodies - Back printing on some of the torsos - Very creative and detailed, yet sleek looking designs. - Classic Space references - All (or most) characters are unique - One female character Cons: - Few airtight vehicles and space helmets. - Somewhat racist story - Even more stickers Conclusion: In my opinion, the first wave of Mars Mission was the low point in Lego Space. Now, with SP3, they are going into the right direction again. If only they get rid of the racism and airtightness issues, they'll do fine IMO.

I too think that this will be more bad than good in the end, but it's too early to really tell. I just hope this merge doesn't affect the upcoming Avengers movie. I also think it's unlikely that we'll see sets from any Marvel movie due to this, but who knows.

1. Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter by DutchRebel - Even though it uses a lot of decals, this is simply one of the most beatiful SW MOCs I've ever seen. Very detailed, accurate, and flawless to the bone. Very well done! 2. Emperor's Arrival by Morten Sonne - Impressive. Most impressive. And not only because of the large army. It captures the scene perfectly and looks very smooth overall. 3. Cloud City by Kaitan - Very beautiful looking diorama. Also very detailed and accurate. 4. Venator Star Destroyer by thire5 - A very big, very detailed, and very accurate model of my favorite capital ship. 5. Pimp My Tie by CopMike - My favorite TIE of all time made into Lego! Thank you, CopMike!

I recently found some redcaot torsos and hats, Agent Trace hair, and Governor's Daughter torsos in the MYOM section of the Lego Store in Downtown Disney. -
I actually like the fountain best. Seriously though, for me it's definitely the theater. It's so nicely done, has pieces in great colors, and as mentioned above, it's the first Lego movie theater. The gas station is nice, there have been so many gas stations already. And the Town Hall is kind of a pointless building IMO.

Same here! This will be the first theme I will really collect!

Of course not. It just wont be in the near future, as I said. Because I'm happy with the GG that I already have. In fact, I prefer him in white rather than tan with random black markings on his body. On the other hand, a printed head would be nice to have... Er... Yeah, that's what I was referring to. What is gonna be cool? Or maybe to that cool old Phantom Menace poster with little Anakin throwing a Vader shadow on a wall on Tatooine.

Yes, I know that. That's why I used to think that R&C was a cheap knock-off kids version of J&D until I found out that it's actually quite different. I also know that they are releasing the PSP game, and I am excited for it too, but I'd like them to make a game for the PS3 because they could fully make use of the PS3's potential. Daxter was a good game, but not nearly as great as the PS2 games. The Lost Frontier looks like a big improvement over Daxter and might even rival one of the first PS2 games, but it's simply not as great as it could have been on the PS3, you know what I mean?

I have been quite a Playstation person all my life. I used to have the PS One, PS2 (Region 2), and PSP. Today, I have the Region 1 PS2, PS3, and PSP Slim. The only Nintendo console I ever got was the Wii. Even though there are some good games with interesting gameplay for it, most of the games are pretty lame. I used to be a huge Crash Bandicoot fan. I loved all the games up until Twinsanity, including Crash Bash and the two Racing games. After that, the gameplay and pretty much everything about the games started to suck unfortunately. One of my favorite games of all time is the Jak & Daxter saga. I found its humor and storytelling and overall quality to be much more mature than that of R&C. I really hope they continue the series on the PS3. The series still has much potential! Since both of those series have been put on hold, I decided to give R&C a second chance, and I actually like it now (even though I'd still prefer Jak any day). I have played the first trilogy and the first PSP game and am now playing the first Future game. The animation, gameplay, and storytelling has come a long way since the first game. Seeing this kind of improvement on the Jak series would be epic IMO. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new R&C game. The space exploration part of it seems fun and the animation seems to be even better. Another more recent Playstation game I have enjoyed is Mirror's Edge. I really like the whole idea of first-person platforming. Btw, I heard that the PS3 Slim wont be backwards compatible. A shame really. Source.

I posted the video on my YouTube channel now as I promissed, but it's way not as good in quality as what ILikePi posted. So, thanks, Pi, I'll add that to the first post. I'm a little bit disappointed to be honest. Nothing in that video makes sense. I know it's not supposed to, but still. And the animation wasn't as good as that of Treehouse Animation. But it was still pretty good, especially considering all the nice easter eggs. I like how Anakin has a Vader shadow when he sees his TIE, and the games at SkywalkerWorld are pure win. A few comments about the speculations of new sets/figs appearing in this video: If you look closely, the Jedi Temple, Council Room, Rancor, and Malevolence (not Invisible Hand) are all either Minis or not even Lego, so I doubt that we will really see those as sets anytime soon. None of the sets we see on the shelfs of C-3PO's Wheel Of Fortune are new. They are just the Venator, Y-Wing, Endor, Echo Base, and Sep Shuttle. Grievous doesn't look all that different from his original version. He is simply colored differently. Sure, he has ball joints, but I'm sure that was just a thing the animators did to make him more posable because BD arms would never work on ball joints in real life. If this is the Grievous we are getting, I wont buy it. The ARC 170 looks slightly different from the 2005 set, especially around the front of the engines and the nose, but that may just be due to the animated style. But even if it is supposed to be the old version, it might still be a hint that we are getting a new version soon, but who knows. Remember when first pics of the Tantive showed up? TLG asked us to remove the pics even though the official unveiling was mere days away. The release of the new sets is still 5-12 months away, so why would TLG put prelim sets or figs in a cartoon that is broadcast on national TV? In conclusion, I highly doubt that we will be getting any of the new things in this video the way we saw them. In the end, this was just a big fat ad for all currently available sets, as Penitent Tangent said. It was still fun though. And I totally want a real-life SkywalkerWorld to happen! Star Wars ON!

Definitely lime green! Yay for Power Miners! As for a poll: Why don't you make one with all the general colors and include an "Other" option?
-
Oh, I thought you were gathering ideas for MOCs, not for things for TLC to actually produce. What I meant was a set based on the original book by Charles Dickens, considering it wouldn't need licensing (and therefore overly high prices) since the Hans Christian Andersen Bucket didn't need licensing either. But I suppose sets based on the upcoming Disney adaption would work too. Other ideas I would have: An updated Holiday Train and a Lego Gingerbread House (even though it wouldn't fit in a City setting).

Thanks, KimT! How could I have ever doubted you! I can provide you with pics of most of the droids and of Yoda, the jet trooper, and ARC trooper. And Rex' face!! And I don't know if it counts, but I also have one of the 212th Troopers that were given out at the Clone Speed Build in Lego stores about a year ago. You know, the normal clone with a Cody helmet. I can make pics of that too if you want. I don't know how to set my camera to take pics at a certain size and therefore always resize pics on the computer, so how about I resize them to 225 × 300 for you already? Btw, the BD with straight arms was in 7675 and 8018 too, and the one with twisted arm is missing in the index.

Glad to hear you're getting into it. And yes, like say, "this is definitely not your little brother's animated movie". I'm sorry to say that IMDB lists the UK release date as October 30th. Link

Since I'm trying to get more involved in the AFOL community, I have posted my sigfig (link in sig) and wanted to share some pics of my real self as well. This is me in front of the 10th Anniversary Lego Star Wars poster (taken today): This is me setting up my Battle of Dagobah diorama for a photo shoot: (Blame my dad for the crappy photography. ) And here I am with my dad in front of a biplane which we flew in this summer. It was a tour over Sedona, Arizona, and we sat in the front seat! It was awesome! LINK (Warning: large picture!) So, now you know what I look like.

I'm sure he does. I'm not saying he's doing a bad job, I'm just saying that it seems like he has lost interest in the completion of this index since it doesn't even state where figs like Ventress come in (which is one-year old information). Again, sorry if I sounded disrespectful.

Hi Train fans! I must admit that I am not into trains much at all. Even though I am very lucky to have such marvelous classic train sets such as the Metroliner, Load & Haul Railroad, 2150 Train Station, and others, I don't enjoy playing with them as much as with other Lego themes. All you can do with trains is put a track together, watch your train roll along it, and maybe think up some stories that happen around the train. I also find it somewhat boring to MOC trains since they are usually pretty symmetric and small. Due to their size, there is not much detail you can add to the wagons. The only interesting part of a trains to me is the engine which is usually rather detailed. Of course that's just how I see it, and you guys probably strongly disagree with me on this, but I'm just saying how I feel. However, I do understand the charm of trains, and I will gladly participate in the contest. I have some great ideas, and despite my disinterest in trains, I must admit that the Emerald Night is a fantastic set, and I wont pass up a chance to win this beauty even though I probably have little chances since this will be my first time MOCing a train. I'll still try my best.

Does anybody even still care about this index anymore? I don't think many look at it, and even KimT seems to have stopped working on it a long time ago. If there is a serious interest in the completion of this index, I'd be glad to help, but until I know that there is some, I wont bother.

It looks like Pirate Code includes orange jewels! I might have to get this after all. Yes, the back of it showed all the chess pieces and it does include lots of trolls and knights etc. It also includes one or two trans clear baseplates (like the ones from the mosaic sets). That's how the figures stay on the board. Pretty clever concept IMO. I think it was around $30 but I'm not sure. I'll check for you again when I go there next time.

Well, after 2028 posts on these wonderful forums, I finally decided to officially post my sigfig! Here he is: Meet Oky Wan Kenobi. He is a jet trooper commander fighting in the Clone Wars. Here he is back-to-back with his troops: He looks quite a bit like me, no? Why have I waited so long to post it? Because I wanted him to have a proper jetpack. What many might not know is that I actually had this sigfig for a while now. He was my character in the SWCG, and he was even my representation at brickworld this year! Can you spot him in the group photo? I look forward to seeing him in some of your future MOCs.
