  1. Nice review. I'd vote this set outstanding because it's the only promo set that doesn't look underscaled and would therefore fit in with other "normal" sets perfectly. Would have been nice to get the sticker from the AT-TE, and this would have been a perfect army builder if it would have come with a blaster and twisted arm, but those would just have been bonuses I guess. Well, when you're at it, don't forget to assemble the droid correctly this time (as in put on the torso the other way). What are the quotation marks for? I think this qualifies as a set very well, unlike other things like the Chrome Vader which is basically just a fig.
  2. The idea of a winter family house is good, but what would make it really great IMO would be if it had Xmas decoration that actually lights up! They could use those trans clear tubes, but with bubbles in them, as Christmas lights, lit up by PF lights.

Yes, you can, IF you are willing to sacrifice the rest of the "junkyard" for it. Well, think about it. We never saw what imperial guards or stormies look like under their helmets (in the movies), so TLC wouldn't know what kind of face to give them, so the only thing they could have done is to give them stupid smiley faces like the imperial officers. And is that what you really want? There's money involved?! Gimme!!
  4. Congrats! That's a nice bunch of parts there. I have often seen similar bags at my Lego store, but they didn't have the Lego Club logo on them, and they merely consisted of randomly selected parts from the PAB section. I'll have to check if they have these now too. Could these be left-overs from the Lego Club Meeting bags?
  5. If it's not too much trouble, I would love it if you could get some of those new promos as future contest prizes or raffle objects, KimT, especially the clone walker! Not that there's anything wrong with the current prizes. I'm just sayin'.
  6. Sorry to say this, but shouldn't the CC 72000 PFS by Sgt Shelby be disqualified since it's an old MOC?
  7. Well, I can imagine that the thin part that covers the chin of the pilot ends up covering almost the whole mouth of a minifig. But we'll see. I'd love to see your comparison. Yes, those are Phase 2 pilots. So, I guess the rumor that this set is ROTS based is true, and Fisto is probably the bonus Jedi that TLG tends to throw into sets. Member rockinkurt claims that he has. The rumor mentioned above is from him, and he says the Slave 1 comes with Boba Fett, Bossk, Han Solo, Leia, Vader and Chewie.
  8. Yes! Or at least somebody on the last few pages "confirmed" that they reveal the face of the pilots as they should: Can't wait to see clearer pics of those figs! Seconded. The engines and the nose look much better now. Btw, I just noticed that the sandtrooper seems to have a black pauldron. I hope that changes in the final product.
  9. Woohoo! Even more pics! I am SO getting these two! The minifig selection in the Landspeeder is great IMO and the set itself looks great too. It even has the hull-less engine! The ARC-170 looks awesome too. It looks like the one from Quest for R2D2, so it looks like that was a sneak peek after all.

Well, he's not the best minifig ever, that's for sure, but I think he is pretty decent compared to figs like Aldaar Beedo. The only things that bother me about him is the short arms and legs and the non-printed head. I think he could have been much worse. For example, a Grievous head on a white BD body. I think Sebulba is better than Aldaar Beedo. At least he can hold on to something. Beedo just looks like a bad statue of himself. Thanks. Well, yes, the droid fighter was pretty bad too, especially compared to today's Vulture droids and considering the low playability and the non-existent minifig count. But at least it wasn't as blocky as the Infiltrator, had some interesting exclusive parts, and was a good armada builder set.
  11. Wow, there have been a lot of requests lately. Only if it's not too much trouble, could you please make a picture of mine too? Some sort of mid-flight or hover pose would be cool, kinda like the one in my sig, with his other hand gripping the gun at the barrel. But if you have a better idea, go for it. Again, I don't want to stress you out, so really only do this when you have time. I'd just like to see what you come up with. Overall great work btw! You're a real artist!
  12. Darn. I always forget about that fig. Oh how I wish it wouldn't be so pricey! But you have no idea about ridiculous prices, C-bug. No worries. As long as you do post pics (unlike other people - yes, that includes you, Jammie! ) it's all good. On a side note: Even if I would have the time, I wouldn't be able to catch up on the recent events. Bad enough that the game is going in high speed now, but with all the spamming going on, it's pretty much impossible to keep track. So please stop it guys!

Looks like kind of a negative thread, but as long as we can do this in a mature manner as KimT said, I'll be glad to participate. I really hate the Death Star and UCS Falcon sets because they are so awesome but almost impossible to afford. Seriously though, my least favorite set of all time is the 7151 Sith Infiltrator. It is blocky, ugly, had barely anything exclusive (except for maybe the two printed pieces), and came with only one minifig, one which you could also get in a $3 set at the time. The re-release looked a little better, but not by much. It even makes the Twilight look good. As for most disliked minifig, It'd have to be the Aldaar Beedo from the SW bucket: What an excuse for a minifig. The one in the Watto's Junkyard set looked a lot more accurate, but was also a pretty crappy minifig due to zero posability. And I agree that Jedi Duel was a pretty good set. getting two exclusive main character figs in a $10 set was a steal, and the speeder, albeit not having the right color scheme, looked pretty good IMO. And that catapult thingy was good for parts. But if you hated it, that's your opinion, and I wouldn't want to change it.
  14. And if you "geniuses" would bother to look who actually uploaded that video, you just might find out why it's there. Back on topic: I think you should add the famous 2010 BP-revealing video: LINK And just in case, here is the original LINK.
  15. Clip 1: Wow! That's awesome! That's the kind of battle I have been hoping to see in this series! Looks like this show is finally living up to my expectations. Clip 2: Oooh. Ahsoka is in troooubleee. Sweet to some more Mace. Clip 3: Hehe. Yularen is lucky Anakin doesn't know how to force-choke yet. Interesting strategy. Can't wait for this episode. But one thing is for sure: The Lego AT-TEs are anything but pressurized. Btw, they are showing a new commercial now that confirms the premiere date of October 2:
  16. Pics at last! Let's see: Rebel BP: Pretty much what I had expected from the start. And it looks like Darth Legolas was indeed right about the speeder being an ice cutter. Not very exciting but still good for parts I guess. I'll get one or two of these. Imperial BP: This turned out much better than I thought! An AT-AT driver AND a lieutenant! I'll definitely get at least two of these! Yeah, but you also told me we would be getting a Snow-Scout trooper. But I guess "always in motion the future is". I like it a lot better this way anyway. Freeco Bike: Well, the bike looks pretty good (better than most MOCs I have seen) except for the non-airtight cockpit (which was expected) but the rest of the set is kind of a disappointment. Obi in a snow suit is an obvious choice, and it comes with only one Talz warrior. No CATs, no Pantorans, no Narglatch, no nothing. And the pic looks pretty final, so I don't expect any big changes to the set. But again, the speeder is still nice, so I might get this at a reduced price. I just hope the Talz isn't too CW-ified so that we can use it in our Mos Eisley canitna. Droid Tri-Fighter: This actually looks pretty good. It may be a bit over scaled, but it looks more accurate than the last one, plus it comes with the rare rocket BDs instead of those ugly Buzz droids. I don't have the old one, so I'm glad they are releasing this. However, $30 seems too much for it, so I'll wait for a sale to get it. TIE Defender: I must admit, it looks better than I expected. But I'm still not a big fan of OT sets, especially not of TIEs, so I'll pass. That's great to hear, baby! Thanks! Btw, Arthas, I'll take that Venator now.
  17. Has anyone bothered yet to ask Customer Service if these will come to the US?
  18. Congrats on your first (frontpaged) review, JD. Man, you UKers are so lucky! This set is not only a great army builder, but also an awesome parts pack! The walker looks cute and quite posable. I voted this above average, because the only thing that keeps it from being outstanding is the fact that it's too small to fit in with other sets. Then again, it would probably fit perfectly into an AT-TE!
  19. I'm guessing they didn't want to pay the artists to model another character (or they didn't have enough time or whatever) but still wanted to do some sub-advertising for the BP. Sure, not a very good job, but not all that strange either. But I guess we will never know for sure, so this discussion is kinda pointless.
  20. EDIT: Thanks for the merge.
  21. Oh, I get it. Never mind then. (Although I still think it shouldn't be indexed.)
  22. Excellent index, Kim. Yeah, but it's obviously not an official commercial, so why has it been added to the index?

    Star Wars

Thanks, Forresto. I forgot they had the whole thing on the official website. Do you think I should make a SW parody index in the first post?
  24. Seconded. Meh. His leg looks kinda wimpy. I much prefer JD's version with the chrome leg. But I'm not a big fan of the torso JD is using (Why the heck would I need binoculars? I have a freakin bionic eye! ). Whatever though. Where did you get that peg leg anyway, Striker? And what about the rest of the pants? Sadly, I'm not gonna be able to post much these days as I am busy with finals, but in three weeks I should be back.
  25. Geez, people, would you please at least bother to check the 5 most recent posts before posting "news"? Don't mean to be rude, just sayin'.
