I'm pretty sure they will only change the ride itself, not the surroundings. Funny. We don't have an X-Wing or Ackbar here. And I agree on that last point. Did you know they originally wanted this ride to be interactive so that you can choose where you go? Too bad they didn't have the budget for it. Hopefully that will be able to do it for Star Tours II! I think you are confused. The pod that crashed in the video is Teemto Pagalies' podracer, not Anakin's. Anakin's is not even in that video. I'm thinking that this is the first or second round where Anakin is still behind everybody.

Oh, was he talking about the fig? Well, if you were, Klaus Dieter, then I must say that I'm pretty sure that those tiny wings don't move at all. If anything, they are detachable. They look like they are stuck into the jetpack/armor mold in this picture. Nah, that would be too unstable. It would have to be two 2x2s.

Good question. I have been pondering about that for quite some time myself. I concluded that there must indeed be some kind of mechanism there due to these reasons: You can see all four studs on top of the purple wing piece, and it seems to end before reaches the jetpack, so it must be attached somewhat loosely. There is a dark gap between Buzz' body and his jetpack which could easily be a place for the wings to disappear in or for some mechanism to be hidden in. TLG would want to cram as much playability as possible into this set, and having the wings fold out somehow would be an obvious choice. However, I don't think that the wings slide in because Buzz' body seems to be just 8 studs wide, and each wing is 9 studs wide, so there wouldn't be much space for both wings to disappear in. Instead, I believe that the wings will fold down, like they do in the movie. This way they will be side by side when folded down, and since they are each 4 studs wide, they will sum up to 8 studs, the perfect width for them to disappear in the jetpack. If I'm right, I'm also guessing that there is a rubberband inside the jetpack, and when you press a button on the back, the wings spring up. I hope that answered your question.

I think I can hear it too. At only $25, I might get a second one just for parts! Some rather valid points, although the jeep's hood still looks like two 2x2s to me. The tiles on the wings are probably not printed, but stickered. If you zoom in closely on them in the pic on the frontpage, you can see that the prints are offset a little. Anyway, I guess there is a chance that there are 2x4 tiles in this theme, but I still think it's pointless and would prefer it if they did it the "old fashioned way" (with two 1x4s).

Yay. Another raffle I didn't win. Congrats, dutchrebel, and especially to the lucky ones who got something even though they didn't win. Very generous of you, Kim. I hope I see some of that generosity some day.

How many are waiting to buy a Blu-ray player until Star Wars goes Blu-

I already have a PS3, so I'm just patiently waiting for them to bring the discs out. -
What should there be in the next Agents theme?

How was I supposed to know; that post is over a year old! -
What should there be in the next Agents theme?
Oky replied to Batbrick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yes, I thought of that too, and if it were as well executed as Robot Attack or some of the better Exo-Force sets, this could truly be an awesome set! This is the first time I heard anyone compare Agents with Team America! Good call, mate! But yeah, I agree. Whereas any new villain would be welcome, there shouldn't be any more agents (except for maybe another female one), not to mention a whole new faction. That would be just stupid. What Africa idea? Good point. Still, it would be neat to see a Inferno-themed space station. True, but Agents isn't the best theme to produce realistic vehicles. Real-life inspired maybe, but not completely realistic. -

Then why don't you get the magnet set? -
Hovertank thing? You mean the Fighter Tank? That one is already released and currently available, so there would be a greater chance that we get an Octopurra droid with a set like that.

No, the game is over, but you're very welcome to provide some voice-over work for this animated series!

Another commercial, a longer one, featuring mandos: Those Mandos don't look so pacifistic to me. -
Sorry, but this is nothing I would buy. The design of the speederbike is interesting, but looks a bit strange. The back looks too big and the sticks in the front should be bent up a little more IMO. The chamber is cute, but with those giant holes in the sides, it's not great either. But since you already used the max number of pieces, there's nothing you can really do about that. And why does Ep.II Anakin have a green lightsaber?? Just my honest thoughts.

Well, the movie has nine main characters! What did you expect? Besides, most characters didn't have much of a personality aside from a single trait anyway because they don't talk much, like 3, 4, 6, and 8. And it's stitchpunk, not steampunk.

Don't get me wrong, the first Star Tours was great, but after a while, it gets quite boring, and it has been around for almost 23 years now. And since I have a Disneyland annual pass and live very close to it, I get bored with the rides there easily. Plus I'm more a PT fan and am a huge fan of podracing, so this is really exciting news to me.

Exactly what I'm thinking. If even the giant Buzz is $25, how would it be justified for this little thing to cost $15 more? No, I don't think anyone has. Good spot! This set is getting better all the time! Care to share more than just one word? Yes, we have seen those pics several times now, and they have been around since toy fair, and the original ones weren't even squashed. This is Lego. Since when has anything been attached to anything?

Big news! Today at D23, they revealed that they are going to finally change the Star Tours ride in Disneylands in California and Florida! They will close it in 2010 and reopen it in 2011, and it's going to be 3D and will include "many of the new worlds and elements from the more recent Star Wars movies", including the Boonta Eve podrace! There is a preview of the podrace scene here. Click here for the full article.

So? That doesn't mean anything. In TLG's eyes, the last one was minifig scale too.

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Oky replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Really? I looked all over my nearest Target and couldn't find them. In the Halloween section, they only had decorations and stuff. How much were they? Could you do some reviews of them? That would be great! What ever happened to those? Did any of them air? If so, how are they, and is there any place we can watch 'em? -
I just read here that Ford is willing to play Indy again as long as the script is good. If the script of the last one was good enough for him to join the crew, why not this one.
-
Another AT-AT? And it's not even motorized? The last one is still available, plus it's motorized. How are they going to top that? Oh well, I probably wont buy it anyway.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion

I just noticed that there is a series of webcomics called "Hunt for the Hunter" that lead up to the events of Season 2: Link There's also a game that connects to the latest comic: Droids Over Iego -
Very nice! But again, not a big fan of BPs where the figs look like individuals. Still nicely done. I like Darth Inferno and his bike. It's also cool how you integrated your avatar into the box art. But why are the stripes on Luke's shirt red?

*looks at sig* Hmmm... I wonder what that character could be.

You say that as if it was something new. TLG has done that for years. It's all part of TLG's way of making appealing set names by using exciting terms and alliteration. EDIT: Looks like there will be SP3 watches: Pretty neat, considering it comes with handcuffs, a $100 money bill, and a gold bar, plus the fig is not a pre-assembled one (which would have been a sign of bad plastic). It still might be the cheap plastic, but we'll see.
