  1. Did you actually read the thread that that was posted in? According to Ras and others, this fig will be part of a trading cards -style promotion where they sell minifigs in polybags. So if that fig is going to be released, it has nothing to do with Space Police, or even space for that matter. But yes, it sure is lovely! 2. Some pretty annoying stuff indeed. But how does this kind of stuff even happen anyway?
  3. Maybe they'll give him dwarf legs. If the set does include Shock troopers, I hope they will have new helmets which are completely enclosed and maybe even have a face under the helmet.
  4. ... and if we'd get a bacta tank, it wouldn't make much sense. Grievous would probably short circuit in one of those. And remember, the rumor is that it is a tan droid, and it would be pretty strange getting a med droid in tan. So, if anything, it'll be A4-D. How can you be so sure? It could have pull-back motor, or it could be a transformer. Or maybe TLG has been reading this thread and have made a last-minute decision to include the Garindan after all. Nah, just kidding. I agree of course.
  5. I have a hard time trusting that website. It has a Pop banner made using custom figs. Besides, doesn't this contradict the fact that Lego exchanged the Nick license for the Disney license with MB? @ Pie: Yes, that video has been posted. It was even on the frontpage.
  6. Yes, it said that it's $29.99, but I didn't mention it since I have a hard time believing that. Construct-A-Buzz seems to have more pieces than this, and it's $25. I'm guessing it'll be $20 MSRP. And yes, it would have been nice to get Zurg with the Build-A-Zurg set. But if I'm right, he'll at least come in a cheap set.
  7. Good idea. I too am planning on modding those construction figs, and the K-9 is a perfect parts pack for Buzz' hands. For Zurg, you can just get those pieces from PAB. I think they have some joints on PAB too, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I finally got Amazon to show the the pic again, and well, here it is: EDIT: I tried blowing it up a bit:
  8. If it hasn't been mentioned, then that means there is no news, don't you think? I think he wants to see pictures because he only get a short glimpse at some prelim boxes/prototypes, and it's always better to have pics on your computer which you can drool over and analyze for hours.
  9. Here is something to think about: CopMike mentioned over in the embassy that there will be another non-City advent calendar in 2010 which will be available in the US, so I was thinking which theme it would be, and I think Atlantis makes the most sense. It's "the next big thing" for Lego in 2010, just like Pirates was last year, and Castle the year before. Plus there is enough diversity in the minifigs and sets for it to work, unlike Power Miners where all the figs basically look the same and where the sets are highly biased toward one of the factions. The only other possibility would be Space Police, but considering there are only two sets in the January wave of that theme, it looks like it wont be as big as Atlantis. So what do you think a Atlantis advent calendar could include?

    Star Wars

Who is this "Ashoka" you speak of? Those Ewoks are pretty funny! Speaking of funny, adult swim aired a special edition of the Robot Chicken SW special(s) last night with some new sketches mixed in with the old ones. I have compiled all the new stuff into a video for you guys. They will probably block the video soon, so watch it while you can! Enjoy: Also, the trailer for the Family Guy episode Something, Something, Something, Dark Side is now available for free download on iTunes and on Apple.com/trailers. The DVD comes out December 22. Some pretty hilarious stuff! Can't wait!
  11. Yeah. Remember those Racers tracks? It would be great if they would make a new piece wich is like this one, but more like the tracks and a little twisted, so that they make up a loop when you put four together, and make some sort of tiny turbo which you can put the Buzz fig on and shoot through the loop. :sweet: Btw, did anyone notice that that scene in the movie doesn't make sense? Buzz' wings would have totally hit the loop in real life. They cut the film so that you don't actually see Buzz entering or exiting the loop. Maybe that's why nobody ever made a toy of that scene. I thought the gas station fight would make a neat little set. They could include some of the objects from that scene such as the oil cans or maybe a bucket or something and make some play features such as a catapult for the figs to launch the cans at each other. Or how about the scene where they encounter Sid's zombie toys for the first time? There's not much in that scene that could be turned into a set, but since all of Sid's toys would be brick-built, it could work. They could give the skateboard guy a pull-back motor etc. And then, of course, there's the opening sequence of TS2, the Buzz Lightyear videogame, which could be a set in the style of 7623 Temple Escape.

  13. Alright, alright, no need to get pushy! Here's my entry: Ah, Christmas Time! The time of joy and giving... It's that time of year again and even Dr. Inferno is getting into the holiday spirit - sort of. Hope you like it.
  14. Thanks. The only other one I know of is parchioso's 3840 Pirate Code Review, but that one is over in the Pirates forum, so it will need to be moved.
  15. Awesome. Thanks for the info. This makes me wonder what theme the calendar will be next year... Maybe Atlantis? I meant the 30004-6 which were talked about earlier. So, if a retailer should decide that they want 'em in the future, it's possible they become available here?
  16. Hi. I think you should include the board game reviews, such as my Monsters 4 review and brickbitz' 3841 Minotaurus Review.
  17. I was wondering... What's the deal with the advent calendars anyway? How come the US always gets the City one, but not the other? I'm sure this was answered somewhere before, but I missed it and am quite curious about it now. And why are none of the board games available here? About the SW promotionals: Is there still a chance they might become available here at some point or is the decision on this issue final?
  18. Wow! I never expected to get any extra abilities out of this; just having a back-up in case the other is destroyed. Thanks, ADHO! Now I just hope you wont put 'em side by side. I'll take the pic asap.
  19. That's OK, I understand. No fair! You're making these rules up as you go along! Oh well, never mind then. I probably wont bother taking another pic just for two snipers. All that's left to do is to wait for BS I guess...
  20. So, is this a list of sets you think will be discontinued or which you know will be discontinued, based on an unstated source? If it's the latter, I'm a bit dissappointed not seeing the Republic Gunship on the list. I'm waiting to pick that one up on clearance. And yes, it is sad to see Pirates discontinued so soon. The way Lego treats this theme makes it seem like sales are bad, but as we know, that's not the case.
  21. I listen to music a lot on my ipod, especially while driving. At home, I often listen to it on my computer over iTunes. I barely listen to CDs anymore, but if I do buy a new CD, I listen to it, and then load my favorite songs from it onto iTunes.
  22. If it ever shows up again, I will, but it's just a tiny thumbnail, so you wont be able to see much.
  23. So, what you're basically saying, Legoliner Pilot, is that it's overrated just because other people like it and it is (therefore) a big franchise? People like Toy Story and its sequels because it has excellent animation, an original story, decent humor, and good morals. What's overrated about that? And quite frankly, I have never heard anybody say that they think that TS is "the best movie ever made". Also, what does that last part have to do with anything? And where is the proof that that actually happened? I'm not calling you a liar, I'm just saying it's always better to state your source when you say stuff like that. On topic: Something strange is happening to me on Amazon. Sometimes when I visit the homepage, it shows 7593 Star Command Spaceship among the recommended products with a final box art, but when I click the link, it says the page could not be found. A search for the set doesn't give any results either, and it only shows up seldom on the homepage. I'll have to keep my eye on this.
  24. Remember that PM watch I was talking about a while back? Well, it's now available at S@H: Btw, when I was flipping channels on TV the other day, I saw this rock monster on the Nick show "The Troop":
  25. I don't see any resemblence to anything in the Terminator franchise here, just an SP3 officer with a cyborg face. Still a neat fig though. Why not make it your sigfig? Oh, and thanks for letting us know about the need to dislodge the visor for a minifig to hold the helmet. This probably should be moved to the minifig customization forum.
