  1. That's alright. I guess normal clones will do. I suggest keeping an eye on the Venator on amazon. The price goes up and down there, and it has so far been as low as $80. Otherwise, there is always the surprise savings at the Lego store on Black Friday.
  2. No special reason. It will just make me feel better to have my strategy room beneath my bridge. I might even connect them with a Turbolift, but we'll see. I see. That makes sense - in a Battlefront sort of way.
  3. Here is a much better version of the laser show: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">Quite awesome IMO. And not only because Lego + lasers = pure win. Now we know why the weapons on the Turbojet face backwards! Also, at the end, I think it says that the sets are available in the second half of December, but my dutch aint all that good. It definitely says December though, not November as some were hoping.
  4. That was a completely different piece, and not even trans blue. And what does it matter anyway? This is not relevant to the topic. On topic: The SP3 watch is now available on TRU.com: LINK
  5. Sorry for asking this (it was probably mentioned somewhere, but I couldn't find anything), but can anybody please tell me why advent calendars like this or the Castle one from last year aren't available in the US whereas the City ones always are? I'd very much like to understand the logic behind that.
  6. Very nice entry, but what would make this perfect would be a black board with lots of R's written on it. You know, for training Pirate language.
  7. I could imagine that the Wampa will look pretty much like this, but with a new mold for the head. This is almost exactly what I think the new pilots will look like, except that I don't think they will be in the CW-style since the set is (loosely) based on Ep3. That's not a very good example IMO. The Magna Guards in the game were made out of pieces that already existed at the time, whereas the wampa is a completely new piece. Therefore it's likely it will look something like that. I hope that the feathers on the head of the Talz warrior are removable so that you can use the head for other Talz figs that are not from that tribe.
  8. Oh, I see. @ Forresto: When you make the Detention Block, don't forget to pose some senate guards in front of the cells and put Gunray in one of them. You could maybe even include Ahsoka and Luminara interrogating him. (If you have all those figs, that is. ) @ chris: Would you mind if we switch rooms, so that I have room 36 and you have 39?
  9. Looking at the violence-free PTV2 contest, I just had another funny idea: A contest where you have to show a scene where two factions settle their differences in a peaceful manner. We could call it the "Star Wars Peace" contest. Btw, I recieved my prizes from the BP contest in the mail last week. Thanks again, KimT!
  10. Alright, alright. No need to say things twice! Thanks.
  11. Nice ammo room, JD. I'm not sure if a generator would make sense in such a room (explosion hazard) but it sure looks cool. I have three two questions though: Why is one of the "arms" of the generator different? Why is a pilot looking for amo? Where is the required open side? I have begun construction on the droid repair room, and I have a question at Eskallon: Does it matter what the height distance between the Technic holes is?
  12. Well, I saw the episode last night too, and even though I wouldn't want every episode to be like this, it was very nice to see some serious war action! It certainly made up for that action-less last episode. But I agree on the Mundi issue. He really did feel like "just another weirdo with a lightsaber" so to say. Oh well, as long as we get him as a minifig, I'll be a happy camper. Seismic tanks! At least somebody respects the old cartoon! I must say, I really like the serious tone of the comics. Watching this week's war-movie-like episode, I'm really hoping that the TV show is finally getting into that kind of seriousness level. Seriously!
  13. You can take me off the list. Even though Hound Knight hasn't posted any work for over two months, the list grows and grows. Besides, I will change my sigfig soon anyway.
  14. Meh, not so exciting for me. The technic brick solution worked just fine for me so far. It would have been much more exciting if it had another stud on one of the adjacent sides of the one it already has. Now that would have been useful! I just hope it doesn't replace the old indented one completely.
  15. Agreed! It fits perfectly with the asteroid ATM from 5982 Smash 'n' Grab. I kinda wish the signs in Freeze Ray Frenzy would have been done this way.
  16. Click here to download the building instructions for the Rockband bux! You don't need to "wreck" it. Just gently open the tweezers in the middle, take the double page out, and close them again. It'll be as if it was never in there. I'm loving that Toy Story ad btw! Could somebody please make a clear scan of it? I'd be forever grateful!
  17. Very cool looking space cycle. I like all the greebling and shiny pieces and how well it fits the color scheme of P-Squiddy's Pitstop. With all those extras, it looks like it could be a set, but for that, it would need to include a space police officer. But shouldn't this be in the Space forum?
  18. Just to let you know, I have posted the MOC that was going to be my entry for this contest over in the Action themes forum. Click here to see it. Oh, and congrats to all the winners.
  19. Thanks for the kind comments, guys. I'm glad you like it so much. Yes, the front came out very good, but to be fair, I must say that its design is based on the official Santa-Fe. It's not the same, but similar. As for a passenger wagon: I was thinking about that, and I agree that it would enhance the train a lot, but I'm a little busy right now. Maybe I'll make one during Christmas break. What do you mean? If you want more detailed pictures of the laser cannon, check out the Brickshelf folder I linked to in the first post.
  20. Hello there. This was going to be my entry for the Train Tech contest, but I couldn't get it done in time. So, I took my time to finish it and post it. I was thinking if I should post it in the Train Tech forum, but since this is more an Agents MOC than anything else, I decided to post it here. Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, I give you... What did Dr. Inferno do when those pesky Agents busted his Volcano Base? He moved of course, and in order to carry all of his belongings with him, he built himself a Santa-Fe style cargo train. But this is no ordinary train! It is packed with the latest in supervillain technology, including hidden auto-defense turrets that pop out from the side of the engine. There is one on each side and they can turn 360 degrees. Here is a front view with both of them extracted: The rear features two jet engines for extra acceleration! Now let's take a look inside, shall we? Here we can see one of Inferno's henchmen at the controls and the engine (which is powered by pure EVIL!): But what does the mysterious back part of the engine contain? Well... ...only a BIG EVIL LASER CANNON! All defense systems online: "Those Agents can't repel firepower of this magnitude! Victory is mine! MUAHAHAHA!" Here you can see how the cannon is stored inside the vehicle: And here is an overview of the entire interior. Note that both walls have magnets so that they hold together better. I was going to enter the engine on its own in the second category, but after the deadline past and I wasn't building this for the contest anymore, I decided to extend it to include cargo wagon for the Inferno Mech and some extra storage space. And this is it: Here it is without the mech. This pic also gives us a closer look at the storage crates. This is where Inferno has put all his various other belongings: tools, gadgets, death rays, valuables, explosives, and lots of things that ends with "-anator". That's it for now. For more pics, you can visit this Brickshelf folder. C&C welcome. Farewell, and don't let those ratchet Agents get you. Evil for the win!
  21. Click here to find Target coupons for $5 off of SW Pirate tank, PM Cave Crusher, or SP3 Max Security Transport. Also, TRU's Big Book of Deals is now out. Most of the deals aren't very interesting since they simply bring the prices down to MSRP, but there are some good deals too, such as the Venator for $109.99, Anakin's Y-Wing for $54.99, Fighter Plane Attack for $44.99, and Rock Wrecker for $30.99.
  22. I tried, but it wouldn't grow fast enough. And I couldn't find any good fake beard in my local costume stores. Oh well. Hallelujah! No more probaly's anymore!
  23. Well, I rather wanted to look like Obi, so I didn't put my glasses on.
  24. Well, last time we saw Dooku in a webcomic, we got him and his solar sailer soon thereafter. Same goes for Palpy and the Venator, I think. So yeah, that's how they do it these days.
  25. This is me with my Halloween costume: Looks great, doesn't it? In fact, it looked so great that my sigfig wanted to put on the same costume: I hope to see some of your pictures from Halloween!
