Square? That's strange. I always thought the Soulless One has a very round cockpit, especially in TCW. Oh well, I'm sure TLG will make it work. Can you (or KimT or Ras) tell me if Grievous has a cape in that set and what's improved about him? And can KimT or Ras maybe lift the secret of the other brick-built droid that is included in the set according to Sok? I'd love it if it were A4-D or a tactical droid!
-
Thanks for the news, sok! Did it look something like this piece?

Poor ADHO. First you catch a virus, then your computer. I hope you get everything set up soon. As for me, my internet is back, so I'm eager to start. I hope it's not too late for one more army update? I have acquired two more sniper rifles and a second com. transport. Pics will come soon. I can't have normal BDs piloting the com. transport, right? So is it OK if I have gunray and an HSBD pilot it?

REVIEW: 8188 Fire Blaster (Power Miners)
Oky replied to CaptainRex110's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the review. Especially thanks for the photo of the inventory page. Now I was able to confirm that this set is meant to come with a trans-lime crystal. Too bad, since this was our one chance to get a trans-yellow one. They were able to make all the other colors, so why not this one? Oh well, it's still a neat set with awesome figs, so I'll be getting one. -
Here you go. And here they are altogether: The guy says he found them on a flea market.
-
It will probably come with the same pilot as the one in the BP, maybe with a slightly different face. Personally, I'm not too thrilled by the fact that a snowspeeder is included. We already had so many, and it would have been nicer for me if it were just a simple affordable cave. But then again, I wasn't too excited for this set anyway, so I guess I'll pass.
-
I think this whole theme would be pretty pointless if we would not get some kind of big Atlantis set at some point. I mean, how can you have theme called Atlantis without an actual Atlantis? I guess all we can do is wait and see how it turns out, but this looks pretty promising.
-
Woah! Now that's nice! This is getting me pretty excited. So it's 2.5 € per fig then? Will this be in the US too? How come everyone seems to know about this? Was there a thread I missed? If so, shouldn't this and that thread be merged?
-
Wait... Are you talking about actual figs or cards with minifigs printed on them? Logic tells me it's the latter, but I thought I'd ask just in case.
-
Thanks for that close-up, Mutley, even though it's old news. Could you or somebody else do the same with the ARC-170 figs? Maybe because it's a battlepack? As stated on the boxes, their main purpose is army building, and it would make no sense to build an army of the same named character. The case of Kit Fisto (and Mace Windu) is a completely different thing. That's just TLC throwing a random desirable Jedi fig into sets which would otherwise just include clones or other characters you can get in cheaper sets.
-
I suppose your right. Too bad. That cowboy and spaceman look pretty darn good.
-
Happy Birthday, Jimbee! So, did you get your presents early or how come they are already built?
-
You misunderstood me completely. The $0 is what it says on my online account, and with "other rewards" I meant other than the 5 and 10 dollar gift cards, such as a 20 or 40 dollar gift card. They talk about "bigger rewards" in the brochure, but they don't say what those are. Maybe I should just ask customer service this question.
-
Neat find. This would go nicely into your index. Nice song too.

If you like the set so much, why do you tag it with a emoticon? Anyway, thanks for reviewing this set for us too. It really sucks that we get the exact same SP officer as in the other set of this wave, but I'm really digging the Rench and the design of the ship, so I'll be getting this.
-
Thanks for the good review! Can somebody please tell me why this calendar isn't available in the US whereas the City one is?
-
Oh, you said "waned". Yes, I guess I did misunderstand you. I have no idea why the pics turn you off. I absolutely love 'em.
-
Don't you at least have car windows? I have tons of those, and they would do just fine. Just steal his camera and take 'em yourself! (Kidding, of course)
-
Yes, the same one of which there was a pic of many pages back from the visual dictionary. Yeah, but at least it's canon. Maybe the helmet of the ARC pilots covers up that chin strap? Or maybe it's the same face, but without the strap. Either way, the ARC pilots have dot eyes. I'm sure of it.
-
Of course it does, and I hope this will end the whole silly discussion about whether the ARC and Tri Fighter are based on the CW or Ep.III. The ARC and Tri Fighter are Phase 2. The Clone Wars series is Phase 1, and there is no sign of that changing anytime soon. Period.
-
Like Pi said, that's still better than what we have seen so far. So thanks! I'll deeplink it for everyone to see: Looks like the Rebel pilot comes with the same head as the clone pilot in the ARC-170 with a visor printed on his face. That's a good thing IMO. And just for the record (aka. the first post) here's the Imp. BP:
-
Well, the changes aren't really noticeable at first sight, but now that you pointed out your "upgrades", I guess these are improved. Some more pics will probably do them more justice. But I agree with Ras that you should make some sort of trans-clear support for these since it looks like the pods just broke down at the moment.
-
Thanks for the great review. I'm definitely getting at least one of this set. It's such a great parts pack! Out of curiosity: Why did you tag this review with a emoticon? It makes it look like you don't like this set, but your review sounds like you do like it. Is it just because the purple pieces aren't useful enough for you? Also, as Spyder said, is there any clue of other SP3 sets other than 5981 Raid VPR in the booklet?

With every pic I see of the ARC and Tri-Fighter, I get more excited for them. The sets look much more accurate than their old versions, and that rocket droid commander is pretty sweet. I really hope that the fact that he has printing means that TLC starts printing BDs again. I didn't like the unprinted ones in the new MTT too much. The Freeco is a bit of a disappointment for me. The Talz fig's head is apparently one piece, so it wont see much use outside of recreations of that one CW episode because of that feather piece. And whereas TLG made a new cockpit piece for the Atlantis sets, they apparently couldn't be bothered to make a more accurate one for this speeder. The ones in the show are completely enclosed whereas this one only covers the top half. Other than that it looks like a neat set, and I will probably buy it eventually, especially if Anakin has a new facial expression and/or a republic insignia on his coat. The defender still doesn't interest me one bit, but it's good to see the new pilot helmet being used for the TIE pilot. Keep the pics coming!

It's Toy Story. Do you really need any other reason? This one doesn't look as fake as the PoP one, but still pretty fake. It looks like somebody just photoshopped this pic onto a banner, and didn't even do a good job at it. Parts of the pic are cut off, and you can see the white background through the technic hole in Zurg's blaster. Seems to me like the website you got these from is trying to make some premature advertising. I see it this way: The car is very similar to other pull-back lego racers such as 8165 Monster Jumper which has the same amount of pieces, but only costs $12.99. So the question is: Do the two new figs and the fact that it's a licensed set justify the extra $7? Or is this just Amazon going overboard with the price again?
