Yes, please hurry up, Ben. I'm really tired of waiting for this game to start.
-
What rock have you been living under? Those have been around since the first Agents sets! They have been used in most themes and are quite common now. Finally somebody understands me! However, since I wont take these sets apart for a long time, I don't mind that these are printed. @ Pugsly: Could you please show us a pic of Buzz without his armor?
-
Well, this is old and nothing special, but I don't think it has been posted yet: Beige? SNOT? Sounds good to me! Can you at least tell us how big it was, what kind of baseplate it was on, or what kind of building it was?
-
I'm sooo jealous right now! I checked my local Lego store and TRU, but they didn't have any! Oh well, can't be long now. As for the set itself, It's absolutely awesome, although a bit pricey. I can't believe that all the pieces in this set are printed! Is the rocket printed on both sides?

Hello there. I'm sure you all still remember the good old Harry Potter theme with all its glorious minifigs and pieces in rare colors. Like several others, I was a big fan of the theme and was sad when it slowly died. Now, with the awesome Lego Harry Potter game coming up, demand for HP sets will be much higher, and it would be a good chance for Lego to revive the theme and make a great profit. There were rumors at some point that TLC is thinking about it, but nothing has been heard since. So, since petitions here on EB seem to have proven successful from time to time, I thought we should have one to show TLG how much we want our favorite wizard back! So if you are interested in the revival of the Harry Potter theme, make one post (and one post only!) in this thread and hope that we can persuade TLG to bring this wonderful theme back!
-
What can you see coming from this? TLG can think of some good what? And what does that website have to do with anything? Please elaborate. Btw, they are showing Lego Ben 10 ads on Cartoon Network now. It's basically the videos from the website. Speaking of which, Chromastone is up. Looks like Big Chill will be next! I wonder where he is going to be. Maybe in a fridge?
-
It sure is. And yes, I was also thinking of adding some extra vertical propellers to help this behemoth stay in the air. I am now thinking about the design of some royal guards. Maybe the new SP3 helmets with goggles, Agents armor, and some kind of spears. What do you think? Also, still waiting for those answers to the questions above...

These are some nice creations, but they still need some work. The speeder looks much better now, but I think it still needs some kind of tail fin. The other two look good, but I agree that the steering wheel doesn't work very well as a propeller, especially on the RoboNazi mech. MOCs are like jokes. They're no good if you have to explain them. I would go with a more conventional propeller on the mech, and for the speederbike, try to find a way to attach some blades to the steering wheel. That would make it look more like a propeller. This is a common mistake. Steampunk isn't just about making things out of brown bricks and greebles, it's about creating vehicles that are powered by steam engines and could exist in an alternate version of the Victorian era. Some research would do you some good next time. Good luck with your next MOCs.

Thanks for the code, Pi. Man, this game looks awesome! It's #1 on my Most Anticipated Game list right now. Hermione flying a broomstick is hilarious. Seeing all these figs brings back good memories and I really, really hope they decide to release some new sets! Perhaps we should have a petition? Hehe, yeah, I guess you're right about the heads. But since they have different expressions in the game, it doesn't bother me that much. What made you think things wouldn't be made out of Lego? This is a Lego game after all.
-
But there was never any word about it being exclusive... How exciting!! I'll have to check my stores around here right away! Hehe. It's fun to play around with that ball on the website. Can't wait for some wallpapers to become available.

Sweet. Now we have all of them. Thanks again, EDGE! Any chance you could get us some pics of the Toy Story 3 sets too? Thanks for the info Legomilk. I'm guessing those prices are for Germany? And I'm also guessing Zurg will be the same price as Buzz? (Why is he always left out, I wonder? ) Are you sure about that date? It would seem strange that Germany gets these in March whereas the US gets these already in January.
-
Cool! Thanks for that, EDGE. Now the set is almost complete, with only Build-A-Zurg missing. Time to update that first post again, Svelte. Buzz' head could be the tip of a purple spaceship. His jetpack could be the body of a robot or part of a Power Miners hardsuit. The heads from Woody's Round Up with flick-fire missiles under them could be baloons sold at a carnival. Happy now? Sounds a lot like you are quite biased toward it to me. In a negative way that is. But whatever. This guy. So, to you, it's OK if a useless piece is headgear, but not if it's a head?

Hi guys, I have a question. I have looked in TRU, Target, Walmart, and even the Lego store, but none of them has the Republic Gunship, and on Amazon it goes for $180 right now. The only place to get it at the moment seems to be S@H which accepts backorders for February. So do you think this is only because of the holidays or is the set discontinued? It wasn't on Mania3's 2010 Set Discontinuations list, so I'm hopeful, but still nervous because I don't want to miss out on this excellent set. Do you think I should go ahead and order it from S@H? Please help, dear EBers, you're my only hope!

I just looked over the rules again and I don't know what you're talking about. There is no other deadline other than Dec 30, only a rule that says that people who joined after Nov 22 can't participate. And you joined years ago, so I don't see what you're worried about.
-
Congrats to the latest winners, especially that lucky Denimator family. Did anyone notice that for HJR's prize it says "secretPatrick"? That prize doesn't sound so secret to me.
-
Well, of course there is a deadline for entering. We can't have this contest go on forever, you know. Why is it a problem for you that the deadline is Dec 30? Are you going on vacation or something?

Thanks, Pi, but those techniques don't do it for me. Technique 1 is the same as simply sticking the round bricks to the underside of a 2x2 round plate and doesn't look very good. Technique 2 comes close, but the barrels are too far apart, making the gun look ridiculously big. I'm looking for a solution where each 1x1 round brick touches the other two.
-
Hello there, good people of EB. I was wondering if you could help me out with a design. Since the Zurg minifig from the upcoming Toy Story sets simply has one of those stupid flick-fire bazookas as a blaster, I thought I'd make a more accurate one for him. This is how it should look like: My idea is it to use 1x1 round bricks for the barrels, but the problem is that I can't find a good way to hold them together. The best I was able to come up with was to stick Exo Force robot hands into the studs of the round bricks and then clip those onto one of those pneumatic T-pieces, but this doesn't give me the round shape I'm looking for and it's hard to attach that construction to anything. So, do you have any ideas? Please let me know, even if your idea doesn't involve 1x1 round bricks.

That's a pretty cool ad, but I don't think it belongs in this thread/index. Btw, as knuclear pointed out, there are still some things from the old thread which haven't been transferred yet. I suggest you go through it carefully one more time, Cutlass_Iz.

If you think they're ugly but good for parts, why do you hesitate taking them apart? If you want to know afterwards what pieces the sets included, you can always hop over to bricklink to find out or check the back of the instructions. So yeah, I'd say take apart the Bomber and Pirate Tank. Those two sets are only good for parts IMO. And while you're at it, you can take apart the Landspeeder too if you're planing to get the new one next year. If space is still scarce, I guess you could take apart the Magna fighter and Tie Advanced too since they are kind of uninteresting sets. Mini AT-AT and Jedi duel don't take up a lot of space; Echo Base will be useful for displaying the 2010 Hoth BPs; AAT, N-1, and Shanghai Case are awesome sets that don't deserve cannibalizing; and Midi MF's only purpose is to be displayed. That's how I see it anyway.

You haven't seen T2?! You have to! It's only the best sci-fi/action movie ever made! Go! Watch it! Do it! Do it NOOWWW!

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yes that was a pretty good episode. Creepy, with some nice Vader references. I liked the evil, Ventress-like look in Barris' eyes when she was infected. Well, Filoni said that he regrets how bad they made him and the other baddies look in the first season, and the preview looks promising, so I hope they learned their lesson and will use this chance to change his image. But although I fully agree on the fingers issue, I don't think they'll change any character designs, unless they make the switch to Phase 2. Maybe the skirt length symbolizes rank? Woah! Now hold on a minute! How is it Mandalorian's personal fault that CN decided to have this kind of schedule? -
Not bad. But I prefer the official version. This version looks like it would have less control during flight due to the wings missing in the back. A what? Herd? Spaceships aren't animals, you know.
-
Well, where is it? Perhaps it's finally time for you to make a sigfig? Why is Jar Jar your avatar anyway? Btw, shouldn't this be in community?

Dude, draw a Santa Claus beard on him!
