Why don't we have a modules contest where you have to build (part of) a location by the module standard agreed on in this thread. This could be any location in the SW Universe, including the corridors of the Death Star, Theed Palace, Tantive IV, or The Invisible Hand. The only exception could be the interior of a Venator, as that is what the EBCSWB is for. This would be a nice way of finding out if the standard works. Interesting idea, but wouldn't that be more a contest for the brickfilms forum? That's exactly what I said.

I'm excited for it, but only because it's a good parts pack for making an Azure Angel.
-
Nice work! It looks just like the real thing, right down to details such as the binoculars/horns on top! A very good MOC for something that is made out of spare parts. This would make a nice addition to my Inferno Train.

Are you guys sure? If you ask me, even if the movie doesn't do too good (which I doubt), something tells me the Lego sets certainly will. I haven't seen the movie, but even if there wont be any sequels, I think TLC will be able to get two or three waves out of the first one.

You might be right there, but everyone would want to have an army of them, and TLG knows that (I hope). So, in the end, they would probably do the right thing. I'm pretty sure that's what everyone means when they say "Mando Battle Pack". No one would want a "battle" pack with boring, grey suited, pacifistic Mandalorian civilians. Good point, but then again, they wouldn't really be able to call it a Mando/DeathWatch Battle Pack if there were droids included. They may be affiliated with the Seps, but they are still a different thing. Besides, people wouldn't want droids in a Mando BP, so again, let's hope TLG does the right thing and listens to what people want.

Lego Atlantis Cartoon Network feature
Oky replied to diggitydug's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
You know what I just realized? Bobby, the newbie on the team, who comes in the impulse and Guardian of the Deep sets was completely missing in the move! Too bad, since they could have had him do lots of funny noobish things. But he could have been annoying too. This reminds me of something someone once said: I guess RampantDingo was right. -
Well, Huw from Brickset said there was a vampire too, so I guess this is true. Sounds like the Vampire is a rather memorable fig, I'm curious to see it, even though I doubt I'll have a use for it. The lifeguard fig sound good. I bet it will have one of these as a new mold.

Hm, that's a tough question. Since you have to cover it with a layer of Duplo bricks and at least one layer of normal bricks in order to be able to use it for System, it doesn't really matter what the color of the baseplate is, does it? Well, if you do want to make a red MOC with it, you could use it for some kind of large, raised building with red walls, such as a museum, town hall, mansion, or train station. Then you can add some street plates in front of it and build stairs that lead up to the entrance. Other than that, the use of such a baseplate is very limited in the Town theme. I can see lots of uses for it in other themes, though. From Mars scenes for Space to lava beds in Power Miners, anything could be possible.

Hello, Deathdog. This belongs into the 'Licensed' forum, but that's OK, it'll get moved soon. Nice idea of using the tiara technique for this scene, but the presentation is very poor. The baseplate should be tan and it could use some scenery, even if the scenery is exactly the same stuff that comes in the Ambush in Cairo set. Is that photoshopping supposed to be motion blur? If so, it could be a little more transparent. Nice start though. What the heck does that have to do with anything?! And could you please write in normal English?

What are your Top 3 Favorite Elements from the 2009 Pirate Wave
Oky replied to Dr. Steve's topic in LEGO Pirates
It already exists in brown. Check out these sets. As for me: 1. Pearl Gold Telescope 2. Fire piece 3. Metalic Why? Because they're very useful pieces for Steampunk! -
Thanks for all the kind comments, everyone. I'm glad you're enjoying these little MOCs of mine. Uhm, isn't that what the big purple air intake pieces on the sides are? Yeah, I thought they should both have their own style, and for some reason, hot rods are always best suited for the bad guy. Yeah, I was unsure weather to include it myself, but I definitely wanted to use the tires, and I didn't want them to be the only old purple pieces in the MOC. Just imagine that they are very dusty. So, you don't have any witty justice-related line I could use?
-
Well, there are no other pics, but you can already tell that he's better than the old one because he is printed and seems to have bent legs. The shape of his body and head seem to be more accurate too. I'm crossing my fingers for separately poseable legs. As soon as I get the new Grievous, I'll use the old one as one of those statues he has all over his lair.
-
Well, I guess that's just the way it is then. However, can't we just listen to reason? Both the vehicle and the clone don't appear in the Clone Wars series, plus Barris doesn't quite look like she does in the cartoon, so how can this be CW? Oh well, this is getting off topic, so I'll stop.
-
It's because it's NOT a clone wars set. Jeez, do we have to go over that again? Dot eyes + Phase 2 clones = PT. Sure, it's categorized as CW on S@H, but then again, the Millenium Falcon is too. That is kind of a strange bundle, but if I wouldn't have bought the swamp speeder already, and if this superpack would be available here, I'd buy it. Oh, and as for the wampa, face it people, it's final if it's already painted and put on a giant poster, just like Bane and Aayla are.

What is the hardest Lego set you have ever built?
Oky replied to SharkMan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
How in the world did you ever think this would belong into the war/mafia games forum?! Nice topic though. For me it would have to be the Mindstorms Ultimate Builders Set plotter model. Man, that was some complicated stuff! Technic is always hard to build, partly due to the fact that most of the parts are just rods, pins, and beams. But this one used some pretty advanced techniques and pneumatic, and you had to cut the tubes to the right length and everything. The UCS X-Wing was hard too since it had no numbered bags and so many small bits and pieces. @ Tereglith: Yes, I pity you, fool! JK -
Actually, I think Boba is planned to appear in the Clone Wars. They showed concept art of him at the last Comic Con and have ever since refused to comment on whether he will appear or not (which usually means 'yes'). But either way, that's kind of off-topic, unless you want/expect there to be a teenage Boba in a Mando BP. As for me, I would love to see one after watching that great episode last night! I wouldn't even care about the color of their armor. But I wouldn't want there to be a Boba in it. That would be just stupid IMO.

While models with smooth surfaces sure look great, studs are just part of the Lego-ness of a Lego model, plus it gives minifigs something to stand on, so I like a good balance of both, like on the Fighter Tank.

Thanks for the nice comments. Great work, MeuLeu, that looks tons better than your initial design! I don't know why such a cannon would need to be on a rail, but it adds a nice feature to the MOC. I'm still not sure about the front of the gun though. I suppose it's supposed to be a gattling gun where the shots come out of the binocular holes? In that case, the holes are way too small in comparison to the rest of the gun. If you want it to be a gattling gun, you should make the barrels bigger in my opinion. Otherwise, you can just leave the front of the gun empty and say that it's a cannon, like pedro's. Nice toilets, JD. My clones are very "relieved" now. Very funny with Yoda at the urinal too. The only thing you could have done to improve it would be to include a mirror over the sink so that the wall wasn't so empty, but since this is the military, I guess a mirror isn't all that necessary. Great job everyone, keep it up! I have started construction on the Shield Generator room, and it includes Light & Sound bricks!

Any news, ADHO? I just got the Tri-Fighter, Swamp Speeder, and RGS, so I would like to add the seperatist figs from those sets to my army. May I? The Swamp Speeder wont arrive until the end of March, so I can't show a proof pic, but I can send you the S@H order confirmation email if you want. The wait is really getting ridiculous now...

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
True, he had that sneaky look in his eyes, and the way he was trying to convince Obi that Mandalorians were innocent was kind of suspicious... Perhaps he will play a bigger role in the next episodes? -
John Williams' "Battle of the Heroes" as I'm swooshing my new ARC-170 and Tri-Fighter around.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Oky replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Wow, that was a pretty good episode! The opening was very strong with the terrorist attack and suicide, and the final duel was pretty cool. The Mandos were badass, and so was Obi. I love how he took out that one Mando with two quick punches and dodged three heat-seeking missiles! Obi is da Man! The next episode looks about equally as good, so I'm looking forward to it! And now I want a Mando BP more than ever! -
Wow, that board game is a better parts pack than I had hoped! All those parts in neat colors, and that awesome printed Hogwarts tile! Hopefully this will be as affordable as the other games. If so, I'll definitely get one! Oh, that would be great if would get a new Nimbus 2000 mold!! Maybe they could even make the middle of the broom thin enough for a fig to wrap its legs around it, like on the Lego bicycles! This is all so exciting! Can't wait for Toy Fair to be over and the video game to come out!

Today me and my mom went to Disneyland after I returned from school to watch the fireworks, and on the way back, I had to stop at the Lego Store there naturally, and for the first time, I saw the ARC 170 there, so I got it. And so that the ARC has something to fight, I got the Tri-Fighter as well. Waiting at the cashier, there were some clone battle packs on a pile, and I thought "meh, might as well get another one of those too", and so I did. I am one happy camper AFOL now. Unfortunately they had the RGS, swamp speeder, and Indy sets which I got off of S@H recently too, so I guess I missed out on using my discount on those. Oh well, at least I got a "free" keychain. They also had this valentine's heart and a glued, brick-built rose as well by the way. (credit to iLikePi for the latter pic)

Maybe. Do we really need to specify it? A lot of people say she will get killed, but she could also very well go into hiding or something, so why don't we just make it part of the contest to come up with a fate? We could have different categories like "most tragic" or "most hilarious".
