  1. Not bad. You definitely captured the general shape and scale of it. I would have preferred a less blocky solution for the front, and I'm not very happy with the cockpits either. Not only do they have non-Lego elements, but they are also slanted back too much. In your reference pic you can clearly see that the windows are rather steep, and the tops are flat. Yours are almost at a 45 degree angle, and your roofs are slanted back. Experiment with them a little more, and you'll have a great MOC! And it would be nice to see a shot of it with minifigs in it.
  2. If I had it, it would probably be the DS, but since I can't afford it, I hate it. For me, it's probably UCS Grievous! Such a large, detailed, awesome model of my favorite SW character! However, the Fighter Tank and Mos Espa Podrace are pretty close behind...
  3. I think they had a service at one point where you could get something engraved in a 2x4 brick, but I don't think it did too well. This would probably be more popular, but as prateek said, it wont happen as long as they do it for employees. But there is always decal-making.

    Theme Revamps

Well, Algernon has made some "theme reviews" of Spyrius and Ice Planet. Those have some catalog scans and are very useful for clearing things up a bit. I wonder why those haven't been indexed by the way... As for me, I'd say either Spyrius or M-Tron. M-Tron is unlikely since it's a civilian faction and today's themes are all about conflict, but I can definitely see Spyrius happening with some stylish new Mechs and Saucers.
  5. I'm loving KimT's and DarthSion's new titles. Sion's one (The Respectful One) is so deliciously ironic.
  6. I see the vote topics have disappeared. Does that mean we can expect results soon?
  7. Huh? What armor? And you do know that the sets have been available for a month now, right?
  8. Ooooooooh! Fiiiiiiiiiiiigs! Hehe, this is awesome! I wish I had that many of these guys! I really hope that TLC does the right thing and releases a battle pack with these! And I agree, it would be great if you could find the time to make a claw machine for them! Btw, it might have been smarter to buy these in summer. In one of the sets of the next wave, there are two of these aliens, so maybe the BL price of them might drop after the release of that set. But I guess it's too late now. Enjoy them!
  9. Ah yes, I forgot about C&H. I read some of those too, and they're pretty good. You know, you can always read the Garfield strips on the official website. Just bookmark it, and hit it up every once in a while, like I do.
  10. It has only been pointed out a hundred times. I recorded this and wanted to post it, but I had trouble uploading it to YouTube. Sorry. I'm glad there was still a way for you guys to see it. I liked it very much too.
  11. Was Ahsoka's outfit really different? It looked the same to me. But then again, this set doesn't seem to be based on that episode anyway, considering Aayla and Bane are in the set... I guess we'll find out soon enough. Edit: I just watched that scene again... The brown parts of her outfit are dark red... and she has white pants and... that's it. Not significant enough of a change for TLC to make a new print, me thinks. But as I said, we'll see. I noticed that they're bent, but I didn't think they were droid arms. It would be wonderful though if they are, because that would mean that you can not only pose the legs individually, but also the feet! Here's to hoping that you're right! Can't wait for Toy Fair!
  12. Hm, I seem to have missed this thread too. Let's see... I just got three volumes of Uncle Scrooge by Don Rosa from my sister for Christmas. I'm a huge Don Rosa fan. Too bad they don't print his stuff anymore. I loved Scrooge and the gang ever since I watched DuckTales as a kid, and Rosa's comics are very well written and drawn, and they have really fleshed out Scrooge's character. I also follow the Star Wars: The Clone Wars webcomic. It's surprisingly good compared to the TV show! And I still read some Garfield and Gary Larsen every now and then. And I have also recently "read" the Simon's Cat book, if that counts. I love the cartoons, but the book was kinda "meh" because it reminded me too much of Garfield. Still nice though. As a kid, I read the entire Asterix and Tintin collection. That was some great stuff. Unfortunately the latest Asterix comics suck, and there has been nothing new from Tintin for a while, but I'm very excited for Spielberg's Tintin movies!
  13. I just noticed that ILikePi got a Dagger of Time tag! How did he get it?
  14. I actually do know what I'm talking about, thank you very much. We already had a conversation about Insomniac and Naughty Dog working together, remember? My question was whether or not others share my feeling of R&C being just a kid-friendly version of J&D rather than a stand-alone game, no matter what the development background is. No need to be such a know-it-all. Besides, last time I checked, Wikipedia isn't the best source to link to. @ General Magma: I can definitely advise you to try J&D! It's my favorite game saga of all time!
  15. Hahaha, I'd love to see that! It would be great if you could post a picture of that. What's UCE scale? And why would a Transport Hovercraft be a one-man vehicle? But yes, I agree, this is indeed frontpage worthy!
  16. That looks pretty cool. I'm actually quite digging this line, much more so than Bionicle to be honest. I might actually get one or two of them. The trailer is cool, but the end kind of cracks me up... "Hero Factory - We build Heroes"... Well DUH! Something like "Where Heroes are built" would have sounded better IMO. Oh well.
  17. This is great! From the general layout down to the minifigs, this is very well done. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the part of the wall that has been blown out is lying on the outside of the building. If it was the humans who hit it with bazooka, the piece would have landed on the inside. But that's just a minor detail. Good work, and hopefully we will see more MOCs like this from you in the future. Hehe, true. If you haven't seen it, iamded, I urge you to see it! It's pretty good.
  18. You've got a point there. In the picture that we have of the new Slave I, you can clearly see that Boba has a new kind of helmet. It would seem typical for TLC to recolor it and use it for CW Mandos later on, but I doubt it would be a BP, although it's possible of course. But as others have said, this doesn't deserve its own thread, unless you have some real proof.
  19. Of course it would be too late! The movie would be 3 months old by then.
  20. R&C is a fun series of games. I have played R&C 1-3, Size Matters, and Tools of Destruction, and I liked all of them. They are a great example of modern-day platforming/action games. Up Your Arsenal is probably my favorite due to the great weapons selection. ToD was good too, but the weapons selection was a bit lacking in my opinion. I'm still planning on playing Crack in Time and Secret Agent Clank, and maybe Quest for Booty if it doesn't cost much/anything. I didn't like the first one too much, but that's because I played it after #2 and #3 and found the gameplay to be frustrating. And Size Matters was kinda short compared to the other games, but it was pretty good for a PSP game. The humor of the series doesn't always appeal to me as it is kinda immature. Am I the only who feels that R&C is a rip-off of Jak & Daxter? J&D always seems to be more mature and have better story, better animation, and more original gameplay to me. BTW, you might want to mention in the first post that the PSP games have been released for the PS2 as well.
  21. Wow, that looks great! All the details, working doors, and removable sections really add to the greatness of this MOC. The others have no chance against you! It reminds me of something from the Iron Man videogame, although that one had big guns all over it.
  22. There was no Vader's TIE in 2008. Only one last year, and that's probably the one you mean/saw. It would very much surprise me if it was anything older than that. Next time you can use Bricklink or Brickset for this kind of info.
  23. Nice work. Very detailed, just like a UCS model should be. The only thing that bothers me is that the wings seem too flat. It would have been nice if they had a bit more of an angle to them. As you said, it's hard to achieve the needed angle, but not impossible. And by the way, it's Aethersprite.

    Combat robots

Wow, that "New One" looks great! Very dangerous, yet stylish looking. Much better than your last I'll-pee-you-to-death Robo Walker. You certainly have proven that Galidor isn't as bad as many make it seem.
  25. I'm just going to ignore that blasphemy, brickme. If you wouldn't have wrote "entry" at the end of that first sentence, it would have sounded very weird. Anyway, I'm sure that's fine. As for your dark grey bricks, you might want to consider taking apart some of your old MOCs such as your prievious entries here, your CW vignettes, your Republic Base, or some old brickfilm scenes.
